Spoken like a true idiot. The bail out was a one time thing. And all three US automakers produced vehicles mostly for domestic use. The CCP subsidies are for every EV produced in China, both for domestic and foreign sale. Companies report their production total to get the CCP subsidies in order to keep the people employed. Without subsides, they'd have gone bankrupt. China has 25%-47% tariff on US vehicles exported to China. In additions to their VAT(Value Added Taxes) base on the engine sizes. If you are not filthy rich, Chinese couldn't afford a foreign car. Until Trump came along, China has free access to US market after they joined the WTO. For nearly three decades, China enjoyed $US500-$800 billion trade deficits annually. How and where the hell did you think China get all the money to increase their military and their domestic infrastructures if not from the US. It's time to turn off the spiget! With all the factories closed and foreign investment dried up, EV is China's only product to keep the people employed. Thousands and thousands of EV produced, shipped to EU. It's 'SHIPPED' to EU, 'NOT SOLD'! They are sitting on EU docks collecting dust. 8% sold is a piss in the wind. Just continue to suck up the CCP propaganda from this Blowme AI mouthpiece.

Given a choice, if one can get a free Tesla or free BYD, which one would they choose! It's a no brainer. No one would choose a BYD unless they are pointed with a loaded gun. It's like asking an immigrant, which country would you prefer to reside: China or the USA! China has to use their state security to prevent people leaving, while the US has to built a wall to stop people from entering. Tesla is way behind?? Let's put it this way, Tesla, Elon, and SpaceX is doing space walks. BYD can't even get off the ground without subsidies from the CCP. As a matter of facts, BYD would be bankrupted on day one when the subsidies stop. Under the CCP order, they are not there to make a profit. They exist only to make cheap EVs.

In 2021, China led the ranking with a total of 70,015 international (PCT) patent applications filed in that year. The United States and Japan followed behind with nearly 60,000 and over 50,000 applications respectively.
Fact is, the Western world has been suffering from a superiority complex for the past few centuries but now, instead of looking back to see how far behind China is from them, they have to look in front to see just how far ahead China is from them.
Another fact is any nation who think they can contain China is delusional.
When the U.S.A specifically banned China from the International Space Station (ISS) and participation in all their space programs, what did China do? They successfully sent their own Mars & Moon rovers, and then constructed and successfully launch their own space station into orbit.
Never underestimate the will of China who has turned their dirt poor and economically & militarily weak nation into what they are today in just over 43 years. The world can only imagine what else China can and will do in the next 50-100 years.
Lithography machines and microchips? Without any doubt, just as for 6G technology, China will come out with something far superior.

Ford and GM couldn't built a quality product if their livelihood depends on it. Ford CEO is so embarrassed with the range of the F150 trucks that he ordered to discontinue until further notice. Most EV battery components are controlled by China. US is making headway with its own battery production. BYD is highly subsidized by the CCP. Sold mainly in China, SE Asia, and the EU. Allowing the highly subsidized cheap EV in the US would affect autoworker's employment. China import 75% of petroleum. US is petro-fossil fuel dominance. ICE, hybrid, and EV vehicles can co-exist without problem. If China import EVs to the US, it will face with stiff 100-200% tariff. China tried to do an end-run around the US by building factories in Mexico. The threat of tariff killed that idea. No countries in the world can compete with China's cheap labor, in additions to CCP subsidies. EU are imposing tariff on their EV's as well.

China EV can be so cheap are contributed by many other factors too. The supply chain are within boundary. CATL & BYD produced 70 percent of the World Battery productions . Automations, Robotics , cheaper Labor Cost , Efficient Logistic & many contributed to the pricing. If China want to make huge profit for their overseas market ( US, EU , Canada , UK ) they can just high ( perhaps 20 percent cheaper than their local made ). 100 percent tariff are absurb. The Americans will end up with no choices eventually n pay high for it . China is helping the world to reduce inflations.

@@JDereWrote this a while back but applies to this subject:
At age 64 (2015) my Canadian friend who at that point had lived in China for 17 years convinced me to come see for myself how advanced China was in infrastructure, technology and morality compared to our country of Canada and any of the 5 eyes countries.
So I spent 6 months in SE Asia exploring with a Canadian friend who had lived there for 17 years.
The lies and propaganda just can't compete when you go see for yourself.
As a Westerner who believes all the propaganda do you ever wonder how come such an evil empire as China has not dropped bombs, not invaded, not sanctioned, does not Assassinate other countries officials and yet your country (so morally superior) why do you do all these things or at minimum support the US as they do all these things?
Do you ever ask yourself that? Do you ever wonder why America (land of the free) has more prisoners than any other country in the world?
Do you ever wonder how China pulled 850 million people out of poverty while America gave all it's wealth to the 1%.
Do you ever wonder why walking in downtown America at night is seriously risking your Life while walking in any major cities in China day or night is perfectly safe?
Do you ever wonder how China can give 1.4 billion people free education and reasonable regulated healthcare with the right to choose between traditional Chinese medicine or Western medicine, while in America most people can't afford health care?
Do you ever wonder why a single party country with 1.4 billion people have a government approval by survey of 90+% yet not a single 5 eyes countries or NATO countries can even achieve 50%.
Do you every wonder why elected politicians don't represent the people who elected them?
Do you ever wonder why a country that "we say" oppresses their population has 155 million citizens travel abroad and they all come home.
Lastly do you ever wonder how a country that has achieved so much has not had a single positive news article in the new York Times or the Wall Street journal or any of the major networks?
If you don't wonder about any of these things, then you probably think your not bombing Syria to steal their oil, your not sanctioning Venezuela to control their oil, your not sanctioning Huawei because they are more advanced.
You probably also believe Edward Snowden is a traitor rather than a hero, you probably think the war crimes Chelsea Manning revealed were justified and you probably think Americans are still the good guys.
Perhaps get a passport, go see the truth, redemption is still a possibility.

More than 30% of current global electricity is generated with renewable energies and the number of electric vehicles sold globally should have direct correlation to the amount of electricity produced by renewables, because using fossil fuels to generate electricity for the manufacturing of vehicles, especially EV’s which will also require electricity to charge, does not reduce emissions. Making more cars than needed, whether it is gas, hybrid or EV is also a waste of electricity and all natural resources. Auto maker ought to consider the quality of vehicles manufactured today, because vehicles should be built to last and not designed and manufactured with the profits of shareholders in mind in the first place. 🙄

How long can China continue to subsidize lower prices to stay competitive in the market? We'll see how things play out in the end, because China isn't up against small, independent businesses here. When you look at the car industry, China is still relatively new, like a startup. Established automakers, on the other hand, have been around for decades.
RUclipsrs will have a fit to change their story around.
Faking GDP and now their sales figure is not new to the world let see how this will play out like other businesses closing off in china. They are so safe that they are catching fire.
