We had a couple of moments where the Gorosei implied they weren't around since the void century: they're only familiar with Emeth from 200 years ago, and their conversation during Luffy's gear 5th.
I theorize that the Gorosei are likely some relatively close descendants of the 20 kingdoms. That is, maybe Imu waited a century to have five elders at all. So he waited 100 or so years to recruit the great or great great grandsons of other 5 kings to be his five elders, such that the time entails no attachment with his void century comrades. (Or he waited multiple centuries to select the Gorosei) For me it is pretty obvious that they are very far from the void century. Nusjuro talked about how the WG failed to find the Gum Gum for 800 years as though they werent the ones looking for it. (That is, they werent.)

30~ minute mark. The Gorosei are from the first 20 kings. Strong disagree. The Gorosei didn't recognise Emeth, one of Joyboy's nakama. If they were involved in the Void Century, you'd assume they'd know Joyboy's crew. The Gorosei (Ju Peter, I believe) said during Gear 5 awakening that the Nika fruit had become a legend even to them. Why would it be a legend if they'd been around while the OG Nika fruit user led the ancient kingdom? It seems far more likely (imo) that the God's Knights and potentially other groups make up the inner circle of WG power who know about Imu/understand there's something above the Gorosei. Imu selects the best from those groups to replace the Gorosei when they fail him. Next man up kinda thing.
@@coachingconfidant2785 I get that for the world in general (although the world still knows Nerona Imu as someone from the 20 kings, so that’s still a bit weird) but it would be a pretty glaring oversight from Imu and Oda if Imu had purposefully made his best subordinates ignorant of some pretty low level stuff (who Emeth is, for example) while making them privy to some key information (that the Nika fruit exists and has been renamed the gum-gum fruit) Wouldn’t make much sense imo.
i like this theory a lot except for the speculation that the gorosei were some of the Kings that fought the ancient kingdom, Even the gorosei had only heard tales of joyboy rather then seeing him in action and speak of him as if he was a legend they never encountered, and i doubt that would be the case if he fought them
yea chapter 1044 is the biggest obstacle for that part of the theory, i should have considered it more. I think there's still room for them to have been around but not fully understand what joyboy's power was, which is why the fruit has been able to elude them for so long. if they understood how devil fruits work, they wouldn't have vegapunk researching them - which leads me to believe joyboy's power is just as mysterious to them as their powers are mysterious to us

While I agree with a majority of this theory, I do think that there is more evidence pointing to at least some of the Gorosei having been replaced after the Void Century than to the contrary. Saturn not knowing what Emet(h) was 200 years ago and keeping him around leads me to believe that he was not around during the Void Century, at the very least. Saturn will throw away years of scientific research in order to achieve Imu's goals (as seen in Egghead) so if he knew what Emet was, I don't believe he would have kept him around. Another possibility as to why the Gorosei have scars is because they were chosen like Garling was: They were former heads of the God's Knights. As always awesome theory!
Garling joining Gorosei signifies that we are heading towards the end of the story. It's in his design.. while looking at him in the eye straight onward, he look's like a star. Just like how the Gorosei are referred to the Five Elder Stars or Planets, so his apperance can be decieving. Initially looking like a star, but turning him and seeing his side profile, his appearance is a crested Moon. We know the importance of the moon within One Piece. The Moon signifies the dawn will come eventually. The light refracted to us signifies the Sun will come again. I think the Gorosei's ranks being infiltrated by a man with Moon symbolism seem's like an omen of how the Gorosei's status is breaking down, and the dawn is closest to the highest ranks of the World Government than ever.

there's one more wrench in this theory: during the chapter where we learn about the gomu gomu no mi being a mythical zoan, we see Ju Peter asking the other gorosei about why the government hid the name of the fruit, implying that he's joined the gorosei more recently, despite his scar... evidenced also by his younger appearance compared to the rest
How do you rationalize the the gorosei in 1044 mentioning that the awakening of the Nila fruit was “a legend even to us” which basically states no gorosei was present in the void century war, otherwise they would remember Joy Boy.
yea someone pointed this out to me on twitter just recently, it's a good point that i didn't pay enough attention to admittedly. the only way i can rationalize it is that the origin of the fruit was even before their time, and after joyboy died they didn't know what happened to it. after all they said it's been "eluding them" for centuries. after a long enough time with no sign of it, it maybe passed into legend
I don't think that the gorosei are original kings, at least not all of them. Saturn didn't know what Emet was when he discovered it 200 years ago, and was clearly quite amazed by the level of technology that Emet was made up of. This likely means Saturn wasn't fully aware of the technology that the ancient kingdom had and therefore was likely born after the void century.
Mentioning the allusion to IC XC NIKA is everything I love about this channel. Profound. As a Christian, I saw the name “NIKA” and knew immediately of the parallel. In the Bible, Jesus also talks about how the sinless will be made white as snow. Is it any coincidence that Luffy is most “free” when he is in that form? Free of limits and “sin” in other words, a perfect child of God?
On top of that, take a look at the One Piece world map. It looks like that cross. The lines of the cross being the red line and grand line. Luffy is from the East Blue which is in the upper right corner on the world map, exactly where the cross would spell out "Christ"

The only thing i don't agree with is that the elders are from the void century. When saturn was killed, while asking for mercy to imu-sama, sounded surprised with joyboy's power, as if he had never experienced it directly. I have been saying for months that Nika is clearly a reference to the Greek verb νικάω (nikao) which we see rendered as Νικα (Nika) which means "he conquers." Glad somebody finally picked this up.
I really like the part about where Imu got his powers, and was thinking what if that is why/how devil fruits got created because of a a demon entering the world also allowed devil fruits into the world
I think the reason most of the Gorosei are old is that it gives Imu more control. Imu picks them when they’re old, grants them immortality, and then they HAVE to be loyal else Imu take their powers away. Doesn’t work with Peter, but maybe he had an illness or something.
I think it is because you had more time to achieve more things. Figarland Garling is without a doubt the one with the strongest resume. It is like the upper management of companies. Moreover, I think IMU it's a child, so them being old makes more contrast

What if imu is the devil itself? Instead of the exchange of souls,"imu" wanted to rule the world instead and the 20 Kings had to abide by that because it is the price for winning the war vs the ancient kingdom. That's why Imu can give demon like powers because imu is the devil itself.
Imu has the power to make people demons because he ate the devil-devil fruit: model devil. He can just make subordinates--- and since the elders didnt technically eat devil fruits and their powers are a result of Imus power, it could be somewhat reasoned that they can go into the sea without problem.
The one piece is a one piece swimsuit that was owned by Nerona Imu the be one who couldn’t swim. In a world where they were shined for their demonic features, they found friendship with Joyboy. The live between them was strong till once from aside the waters, Joyboy laughed. The swimsuit to him looked quite funny, but to Imu this laugh was confirmation. That Joyboy only saw them as a joke. From that day on the solem distrust grew to hate. It slowly spread till it bore fruit, literally that once the starved got there hands on became servants to the strength. Servants of Imu.
What I like the most out of this theory is this kinda changes the perspective of the government. For so long we thought the ancient kingdom wielded the most power and used it irresponsibly, but here we see the 20 kings attempt to wield power far outside their own control and are arguably more irresponsible than the ancient kingdom (depending on how the sea levels were raised). My my, how the tables have turned! And I can’t wait for Elbaf because I think it’ll be a Skypiea parallel. Making Egghead and subsequently Elbaf afterwards an exploration into and discussion of the battle between science & religion. Logic vs. Faith, or Heart over reason, one of the main core principles of the show. Meaning that the government or 20 kings will likely be painted as sympathetic in the ancient war. They only wanted that power over reasons of heart, for their ideas of the honest betterment of the world. But once they let the devil, knowledge (reason,) take over, knowledge has its own ideas of right and wrong, what’s good and bad. What’s justice and what’s freedom, and who’s painted good versus who’s painted evil. Freedom/Faith becomes chaos, and control/reason becomes safety. The 20 kings, ironically in their quest for knowledge just like Ohara’s scholars, learned too much.
At the end of the day, the 20 kings were weak men who after exhausting their options, took a deal with satan to retain their power, and are therefore slaves to a force of evil even more powerful than it.
Regarding the Gorosei being the original kings, when Nika awakened didnt the Gorosei say that there were "previous" members of Gorosei that went after the fruit and couldnt get it? My memory is fuzzy.

Maybe I missed it but I thought you were gonna add that devil fruits likely only reincarnate through apples, as the apple imagery is plentiful throughout the manga. We've seen the axolotl fruit reform thru an apple and coincidentally Vegapunk 's antenna is an apple as well. These are part of an even bigger Eve tree/Imu theory I've been working on a while
I just realized something interesting. Saturn already died but him and Ju Peter are the ONLY two Gorosei with similar scars. I think Saturn and Ju Peter share a backstory and we'll see what happened to them when we get a backstory with Ju Peter.
Yoooo, this theory is insane! I love the callback to brook's timeskip arc, it always felt strangely out of place for me, but I could never put my finger on why until now. Small gripes, I just feel like its too soon to refer to imu as 'him' and I really don't want this theory to age poorly! 'They' and 'them' just feel so much more appropriate at this point in the story, we don't know anything about their characteristics after all.
I do believe that the immortality surgery was performed on Imu. Until it comes up again I can't believe Oda would introduce it and only use it to raise the stakes of Dressrosa a bit.
Theres also the foreshadowing of Franky's backstory. Maybe the ancient kingdom was building the weapons for fun and artistic reasons, but the other kingdoms were persuaded into war by fearmongering lies. One of the 20 kingdoms could have potentially stole one of the three ancient weapons.
I think it makes a lot more sense for Joyboy to actually be a part of the 20 kingdoms. I remember someone mentioning that the 20 kingdoms was a pirate alliance and we know Joyboy was the first and probably the most powerful pirate to this day. Also we know that the world government was founded on the idea that there will be no ruler of the world which only really makes sense if they defeated someone that was trying to do just that and it makes absolutely no sense that Joyboy was trying to do that. So unless Imu framed him and than formed the alliance to defeat him. I think it makes a lot more sense to say Imu tried to become king of the world (probably using tech gifted by the Lunarians) and Joyboy tried to stop him and some deception happened at the end that we don't know of to allow Imu to be ruling the world government and Joyboy to be dead. Maybe some sort of body swap or other devil fruit.
You're cooking as always, only wrench in the 5 kings theory in my opinion, is that the gorosei don't seem to actually have first hand experience with the Human-Human Fruit Mythical Type: Model Nika. They talk of it as if they've only been told about the fruit, and didn't fight Joyboy first hand. This could also be Oda exposition dumping haphazardly, excellent theory otherwise completely watertight

This theory makes an incredible amount of sense, especially compared to a lot of the theories I see recently. The only thing I really disagree with is the idea that the OG elders were kings from the void century. This is bc of the elders' discussion about luffy's awakening in 1044. In that it seems that some elder (likely Warcury because he is the only one to not say anything else in this conversation) doesn't know about the true nature of the gum gum fruit. Ethan also talks about how 'the WG' has tried and failed to get the gum gum fruit for 800 years, which is different from Mars' followup that it may be trying to 'escape OUR grasp'. This makes me think that at least Warcury and Ethan were not around during the time of Joyboy. Then, how did they become elders? I'm not sure, maybe there were not always five elders and some were added later, or previous elders died of non-imu reasons -- it's shown they are vulnerable to sufficiently powerful haki users and/or may be vulnerable when they are in their normal forms. It is possible and even likely that some of the elders were around during the great war, but I don't think all 5 of them were.

I'd really like for Oda to play with the question, "What is the devil?" After all, the power of Nika is granted through a devil fruit, and we see in Skypiea that God is a title given to whoever wields power. Many cultures and philosophies view the devil in different ways. Some see him as the root of all evil, others see him as a bringer of truth to humanity and so on. One of the most famous symbols of the devil in pop culture is Baphomet, an androgynous deity that originally represented duality and harmony (and is probably linked to alchemy because of how similar it is to another symbol called rebis, which is very popular in Japanese media) but was twisted by the church because of the fear of paganism.

I'm calling it now, Blackbeard is a descendant of Imu and that's why his bloodline is 'special' or 'different' as was stated. It could easily explain why he's able to consume 2 or more devil fruits.

This was a great theory on the influences on the story really appreciate this kind of theory. At this point in the story I've honestly become completely uninterested in theory videos over 20mins as most are long just for the sake of really stretching the thinnest of story threads or evidence to fit their theory on the stories progression.
Wow. All of the arguments just make so much sense. The back to back proofs of each points brought up, the link to real life context, the link to religion, everything just clicks and it sounds amazing. This theory just needs to happen and be proven right, since it is the first one that I have heard which makes total sense. The fact that Ju Peter here isn't depicted as a traitor, but a founder of the world and Saturn's death being justified by Joyboy's return are points so interesting. I loved the idea that Imu is one being similar if not, a demon, or even Oda's link to world leaders through the visual simile of these gorosei. I loved this theory truly.
I really liked the video, the only thing I’d say is that the analogy of 17th Century France vs 21st Century America for the 20 kings vs Ancient Kingdom only works when you don’t take into account the fantastical powers available to the people in the One Piece world. Sure, an average soldier of the AK could probably decimate an entire squad of Proto-WG warriors, but if the 20 Kings had a guy that was a strong as Kizaru, we saw how easily he took out a mech that was based on Ancient Kingdom Designs.

i like this theory a lot except for the speculation that the gorosei were some of the Kings that fought the ancient kingdom, Even the gorosei had only heard tales of joyboy rather then seeing him in action and speak of him as if he was a legend they never encountered, and i doubt that would be the case if he fought them
yea chapter 1044 is the biggest obstacle for that part of the theory, i should have considered it more. I think there's still room for them to have been around but not fully understand what joyboy's power was, which is why the fruit has been able to elude them for so long. if they understood how devil fruits work, they wouldn't have vegapunk researching them - which leads me to believe joyboy's power is just as mysterious to them as their powers are mysterious to us

While I agree with a majority of this theory, I do think that there is more evidence pointing to at least some of the Gorosei having been replaced after the Void Century than to the contrary. Saturn not knowing what Emet(h) was 200 years ago and keeping him around leads me to believe that he was not around during the Void Century, at the very least. Saturn will throw away years of scientific research in order to achieve Imu's goals (as seen in Egghead) so if he knew what Emet was, I don't believe he would have kept him around. Another possibility as to why the Gorosei have scars is because they were chosen like Garling was: They were former heads of the God's Knights.

Garling joining Gorosei signifies that we are heading towards the end of the story. It's in his design.. while looking at him in the eye straight onward, he look's like a star. Just like how the Gorosei are referred to the Five Elder Stars or Planets, so his apperance can be decieving. Initially looking like a star, but turning him and seeing his side profile, his appearance is a crested Moon. We know the importance of the moon within One Piece. The Moon signifies the dawn will come eventually. The light refracted to us signifies the Sun will come again. I think the Gorosei's ranks being infiltrated by a man with Moon symbolism seem's like an omen of how the Gorosei's status is breaking down, and the dawn is closest to the highest ranks of the World Government than ever.
Good points bro, the way I also like to look at it is that his hair from the front also looks like the world government logo, kinda like how lucci had the WG scar on his back. Oda’s way of showing that these guys are obedient servants/enforcers of the WG agenda

there's one more wrench in this theory: during the chapter where we learn about the gomu gomu no mi being a mythical zoan, we see Ju Peter asking the other gorosei about why the government hid the name of the fruit, implying that he's joined the gorosei more recently, despite his scar... evidenced also by his younger appearance compared to the rest
How do you rationalize the the gorosei in 1044 mentioning that the awakening of the Nila fruit was “a legend even to us” which basically states no gorosei was present in the void century war, otherwise they would remember Joy Boy.
yea someone pointed this out to me on twitter just recently, it's a good point that i didn't pay enough attention to admittedly. the only way i can rationalize it is that the origin of the fruit was even before their time, and after joyboy died they didn't know what happened to it. after all they said it's been "eluding them" for centuries. after a long enough time with no sign of it, it maybe passed into legend
I don't think that the gorosei are original kings, at least not all of them. Saturn didn't know what Emet was when he discovered it 200 years ago, and was clearly quite amazed by the level of technology that Emet was made up of. This likely means Saturn wasn't fully aware of the technology that the ancient kingdom had and therefore was likely born after the void century.

Mentioning the allusion to IC XC NIKA is everything I love about this channel. Profound. As a Christian, I saw the name “NIKA” and knew immediately of the parallel. In the Bible, Jesus also talks about how the sinless will be made white as snow. Is it any coincidence that Luffy is most “free” when he is in that form? Free of limits and “sin” in other words, a perfect child of God?
On top of that, take a look at the One Piece world map. It looks like that cross. The lines of the cross being the red line and grand line. Luffy is from the East Blue which is in the upper right corner on the world map, exactly where the cross would spell out "Christ"

The only thing i don't agree with is that the elders are from the void century. When saturn was killed, while asking for mercy to imu-sama, sounded surprised with joyboy's power, as if he had never experienced it directly. Also, he let the scientists fron 200 years ago study Emeth, as if he didn't knew he was not just a robot but actualy a scentient being and joyboy's friend. Fact:
Garling is often associated with the moon because of his hair but in reality it's all a matter of perspective because if we look at Garling from the side his hair looks like a half moon while if we look at him from the front his hair looks like a four-pointed star
both are associated with the world govt/ imu… plus the cover stories with enel showed that the moon itself has beings and they had lost some kind of war.

Your observations about Garling essentially becoming Imu's first mate and the closeness of the moon to the Earth are really refreshing. I've heard several theories saying that Garling is going to be the start of Imu's downfall, and that he'll even betray Imu.

I have been saying for months that Nika is clearly a reference to the Greek verb νικάω (nikao) which we see rendered as Νικα (Nika) which means "he conquers." Glad somebody finally picked this up.
I really like the part about where Imu got his powers, and was thinking what if that is why/how devil fruits got created because of a a demon entering the world also allowed devil fruits into the world
I think the reason most of the Gorosei are old is that it gives Imu more control. Imu picks them when they’re old, grants them immortality, and then they HAVE to be loyal else Imu take their powers away. Doesn’t work with Peter, but maybe he had an illness or something.

Instead of the exchange of souls,"imu" wanted to rule the world instead and the 20 Kings had to abide by that because it is the price for winning the war vs the ancient kingdom.

Imu has the power to make people demons because he ate the devil-devil fruit: model devil. He can just make subordinates--- and since the elders didnt technically eat devil fruits and their powers are a result of Imus power, it could be somewhat reasoned that they can go into the sea without problem.
The one piece is a one piece swimsuit that was owned by Nerona Imu the be one who couldn’t swim. In a world where they were shined for their demonic features, they found friendship with Joyboy. The live between them was strong till once from aside the waters, Joyboy laughed. The swimsuit to him looked quite funny, but to Imu this laugh was confirmation. That Joyboy only saw them as a joke. From that day on the solem distrust grew to hate. It slowly spread till it bore fruit, literally that once the starved got there hands on became servants to the strength. Servants of Imu.
What I like the most out of this theory is this kinda changes the perspective of the government. For so long we thought the ancient kingdom wielded the most power and used it irresponsibly, but here we see the 20 kings attempt to wield power far outside their own control and are arguably more irresponsible than the ancient kingdom (depending on how the sea levels were raised). My my, how the tables have turned!
And I can’t wait for Elbaf because I think it’ll be a Skypiea parallel. Making Egghead and subsequently Elbaf afterwards an exploration into and discussion of the battle between science & religion. Logic vs. Faith, or Heart over reason, one of the main core principles of the show.
Meaning that the government or 20 kings will likely be painted as sympathetic in the ancient war. They only wanted that power over reasons of heart, for their ideas of the honest betterment of the world. But once they let the devil, knowledge (reason,) take over, knowledge has its own ideas of right and wrong, what’s good and bad. What’s justice and what’s freedom, and who’s painted good versus who’s painted evil. Freedom/Faith becomes chaos, and control/reason becomes safety.
The 20 kings, ironically in their quest for knowledge just like Ohara’s scholars, learned too much.
At the end of the day, the 20 kings were weak men who after exhausting their options, took a deal with satan to retain their power, and are therefore slaves to a force of evil even more powerful than it.
Regarding the Gorosei being the original kings, when Nika awakened didnt the Gorosei say that there were "previous" members of Gorosei that went after the fruit and couldnt get it? My memory is fuzzy.

Maybe I missed it but I thought you were gonna add that devil fruits likely only reincarnate through apples, as the apple imagery is plentiful throughout the manga. We've seen the axolotl fruit reform thru an apple and coincidentally Vegapunk 's antenna is an apple as well. These are part of an even bigger Eve tree/Imu theory I've been working on a while

Small gripes, I just feel like its too soon to refer to imu as 'him' and I really don't want this theory to age poorly!

I do believe that the immortality surgery was performed on Imu. Until it comes up again I can't believe Oda would introduce it and only use it to raise the stakes of Dressrosa a bit.
Theres also the foreshadowing of Franky's backstory. Maybe the ancient kingdom was building the weapons for fun and artistic reasons, but the other kingdoms were persuaded into war by fearmongering lies. One of the 20 kingdoms could have potentially stole one of the three ancient weapons.

I think it makes a lot more sense for Joyboy to actually be a part of the 20 kingdoms. I remember someone mentioning that the 20 kingdoms was a pirate alliance and we know Joyboy was the first and probably the most powerful pirate to this day. Also we know that the world government was founded on the idea that there will be no ruler of the world which only really makes sense if they defeated someone that was trying to do just that and it makes absolutely no sense that Joyboy was trying to do that. So unless Imu framed him and than formed the alliance to defeat him. I think it makes a lot more sense to say Imu tried to become king of the world (probably using tech gifted by the Lunarians) and Joyboy tried to stop him and some deception happened at the end that we don't know of to allow Imu to be ruling the world government and Joyboy to be dead. Maybe some sort of body swap or other devil fruit.
You're cooking as always, only wrench in the 5 kings theory in my opinion, is that the gorosei don't seem to actually have first hand experience with the Human-Human Fruit Mythical Type: Model Nika. They talk of it as if they've only been told about the fruit, and didn't fight Joyboy first hand. This could also be Oda exposition dumping haphazardly, excellent theory otherwise completely watertight

This theory makes an incredible amount of sense, especially compared to a lot of the theories I see recently. The only thing I really disagree with is the idea that the OG elders were kings from the void century. This is bc of the elders' discussion about luffy's awakening in 1044. In that it seems that some elder (likely Warcury because he is the only one to not say anything else in this conversation) doesn't know about the true nature of the gum gum fruit. Ethan also talks about how 'the WG' has tried and failed to get the gum gum fruit for 800 years, which is different from Mars' followup that it may be trying to 'escape OUR grasp'.
This makes me think that at least Warcury and Ethan were not around during the time of Joyboy. Then, how did they become elders? I'm not sure, maybe there were not always five elders and some were added later, or previous elders died of non-imu reasons -- it's shown they are vulnerable to sufficiently powerful haki users and/or may be vulnerable when they are in their normal forms. It is possible and even likely that some of the elders were around during the great war, but I don't think all 5 of them were.

I'd really like for Oda to play with the question, "What is the devil?" After all, the power of Nika is granted through a devil fruit, and we see in Skypiea that God is a title given to whoever wields power. Many cultures and philosophies view the devil in different ways. Some see him as the root of all evil, others see him as a bringer of truth to humanity and so on. One of the most famous symbols of the devil in pop culture is Baphomet, an androgynous deity that originally represented duality and harmony (and is probably linked to alchemy because of how similar it is to another symbol called rebis, which is very popular in Japanese media) but was twisted by the church because of the fear of paganism.
Pop culture is rere tardo. Its cringe. It goes to show people lack any sort of willingness to learn anything that can set them apart.

I'm calling it now, Blackbeard is a descendant of Imu and that's why his bloodline is 'special' or 'different' as was stated. It could easily explain why he's able to consume 2 or more devil fruits.
What if Imu isn’t Imu? Like what if instead of his soul the original Imu sacrificed his body and the devil has been possessing him ever since, the reason he hates pirates so much and the fear of people finding out about the Void Century is: if Imu dies then the devil has no more host, he’s going back to the underworld or wherever he’s stuck, he hates pirates because the only person who could possibly beat Imu/the devil was and is a Pirate the very first pirate: Joyboy
There’s a famous story in the Bible where the devil tempted Jesus for 40 days if Luffy/Nika is supposed to be the equivalent to Pirate Jesus then I think at the end Imu will capture Luffy or Luffy will kill Imu and the devil will be free but in one last ditch effort will offer Luffy the opportunity to do whatever he wants, to become truly free by being king of the world and taking Imu’s spot and I think Luffy is going to destroy the throne of the world ending the government for good

This was a great theory on the influences on the story really appreciate this kind of theory. At this point in the story I've honestly become completely uninterested in theory videos over 20mins as most are long just for the sake of really stretching the thinnest of story threads or evidence to fit their theory on the stories progression.

Wow. All of the arguments just make so much sense. The back to back proofs of each points brought up, the link to real life context, the link to religion, everything just clicks and it sounds amazing. This theory just needs to happen and be proven right, since it is the first one that I have heard which makes total sense. The fact that Ju Peter here isn't depicted as a traitor, but a founder of the world and Saturn's death being justified by Joyboy's return are points so interesting. I loved the idea that Imu is one being similar if not, a demon, or even Oda's link to world leaders through the visual simile of these gorosei. I loved this theory truly.

I really liked the video, the only thing I’d say is that the analogy of 17th Century France vs 21st Century America for the 20 kings vs Ancient Kingdom only works when you don’t take into account the fantastical powers available to the people in the One Piece world. Sure, an average soldier of the AK could probably decimate an entire squad of Proto-WG warriors, but if the 20 Kings had a guy that was a strong as Kizaru, we saw how easily he took out a mech that was based on Ancient Kingdom Designs.
Now consider that the ancient kingdom also had devil fruits
