Yes Ticketmaster needs to be sued- I’m disabled and everything was sold out for every show including handicapped seats and this is not the first time we’ve had issues getting tickets
Yes but if someone buys the tickets and they're disabled as well. They can't have their tickets taken away so you can have them. And they can't be asked if they're disabled or not. That would be discrimination.
@@brooke9225 That isn’t the issue, though. Ticketmaster has been breaking laws and buying up seats, and it’s proven. They’ve been sued before, too. The company needs to be broken apart or artists should stop using them somehow.
@@thisisbrad sure they've been caught breaking the law but my comment still stands. If a ticket is sold out and they're sitting in the disabled sitting you can't ask them to prove their disability.. And so far people have been sitting in the disabled section at every show she's done. It would be breaking the law to ask those people about their disabilities. At the end of the day the only thing that can be done is to hope that those sitting in those sections are disabled. And not all disabilities are the same and some are visible but it doesn't make those people any less disabled
@@brooke9225 I'm curious how it would break the law to verify people's disabilities. There are handicapped parking spaces where you need to have the slip of paper or the logo on your license plate, I don't think it's unreasonable or illegal to implement a similar system with this
@@justaperson0848 it is illegal because its discriminatory. When you're applying for those slips it's through the government which is different. And that's asking for a medical exception and your doctor does have to prove that in your behalf. But in every day situations like going to public places or even applying for a job you can't be asked those questions. Literally look up the law. The ada literally has it written in their website that venues can't ask for proof of disability.

Fans complain but at the end of the day money wins. As long as someone out there is willing to pay inflated prices this will keep happening.
One thing that performers could do is require people who buy it to be the only one that can attend. Basically eliminate the secondary scalping market. If no one can make a profit, there would be no reason to charge more than the base price. But money wins here as well. No one gonna miss out on making a buck to desperate fans.
Performers could also do virtual concerts on a streaming platform. Refuse to do live concerts until live nation goes bankrupt. But that will never happen. The money from live concerts is too good. 😒
There's no monetarial intention behind these concerts she just want to entertain her fans all over the country in the healthiest way possible...

Artists basically ONLY make money from live shows. Streaming revenues are near zilch and download/album sales are split with record label, etc. The live performance is everything now and precisely why artists are willing to allow Live Nation/Ticketmaster to implement the dynamic pricing model that allows ticket face value to be ignored. The Courts need to strike a balance and mandate that some portion - say 50%, of all tickets must be sold at only face value. And then states need to reinstate anti-ticket scalping laws. We can dream.

Its not ticketmaster its live nation. If suing live nation and forcing them to sell venues they own and let artist use what ticketing software they want. We would be in a better spot.
