I live 20 minutes from the Arena and people are still traumatised from that night. Mostly suffering from PTSD.
Thankfully, other than the shock of this happening so close to home, I don't know anyone who was injured.

Same, even though the two events are pretty different, what happened at Astroworld reminded me of this
I came back because I remember how hurt I was to hear about this, this attack was far deadlier than Astroworld though. And the way Ariana handled it surprises me. She went right back up and committed her life to those 22 people who lost their lives, and while Ariana has or had suffered from PTSD, I don’t even know if Travis Scott is going through the same thing, he isn’t open and he isn’t telling us what really happened. This situation is far harder to come across why he would not stop any earlier, but at the same time, the producers didn’t do a single thing to help and probably didn’t even tell Travis what was going on so he was probably left confused. Either way, Travis didn’t explain anything to us so how are we supposed handle this? 8 peoples lives were lost and all he can say is a few words in a one minute video. I really hope this teaches him to stop influencing dangerous acts in his concerts. Ariana is such an Angel and would never do something like that. The people that still accuse Ariana to this day are going to hell. Travis Scott didn’t do enough to help as he had the opportunity to but chose not to. Ariana was almost attacked in a bombing and there was NOTHING she could of done to prevent it. Two very different scenarios. But I am thinking about those 30 people who’s lives were lost. And their families are always gonna be in my prayers 💔

PTSD is so real and it really angers me when people down play it. Your life can be going fine when out of the blue something or someone triggers a memory of that terrible thing that caused your PTSD and all logic goes out the door. Most people don't have a great support base like her and I'm so greatful she was able to get out on THAT pictular stage and perform. Kudos to her.
Mental illness conditions regardless of whether they're depression, anxiety, ptsd, add, adhd, ocd, or anything else.. They're always demeaned and pushed aside because they're not visible conditions like the flu is or when you have cancer. The worst thing you can say to a person with depression is "you're feeling sorry for yourself" but people do it all the time.

Molly I live on the other side of the world and this hit me. We all remember exactly where we were when we found out and suddenly our whole perspectives changed. Where I live it was about 9am, I was moving from one class to another. It was sunny and hot, and I was sweating carrying my portfolio and art supplies to the art building on the other side of campus. I remember closing my eyes to shield them from the glare reflecting off the stain glass windows of my destination when I heard girls talking about Ariana’s concert. I didn’t know what they were talking about so just assumed it was some shallow celebrity talk. Walking into class I learnt different. One girl - I knew her from form group - was pacing up and down. The class silent; we watched her, Phone in hand, call over and over trying to get through to her sister, hundreds of thousands of km away in Manchester. The teacher was late that morning. I remember everything so distinctly, it haunts me to think. Burnt in my brain is the shriek she let out when she heard her sister’s voice. It cut through the silence and echoed through the building, causing my 70yr old teacher to sprint up the stairs, as she said “like her tail was on fire”. The girl broke down, having to be practically carried out by her closest friends. Never have I once had to consider that someone I love, my sisters, brother, Aunty, could be gone like that. This moment impacted everyone in that room, and it was replicated in tens of thousands of classrooms and bedrooms and kitchens and living rooms around the world that day, only some never got further than the answering machine.

I think Ariana needed that moment to herself many people truly believed she was never going to sing, preform or hold a concert again. I just wanted her to know and feel that her fans that died and that were injured wouldn't have wanted her to quit and that if she needed to move on she has a life to live. Ariana is one powerful woman. She's strong and brave and I'm happy for her. She has some amazing fans who I've seen myself show her the utmost support and love. She didn't deserve this and I hate coming back to this cause it makes me cry but it needs to be said.

Stop giving her shit for also being traumatized. No one is saying the survivors aren’t important, hell they’ve been interviewed way before and clearly show signs of PTSD. But you also have to remember Ariana is probably bearing so much guilt and weight for her feeling almost responsible for the deaths that had occurred. She seemed on the edge of dropping music for a while so chill. While I’m not saying she’s more damaged than those who’ve died or witnessed the deaths, she still may be traumatized by it and does not need berating by people for it.

I could understand if it's right after the event. But a year?! Even after the One Love concert? That's really late... And it just so happens that her album is coming out. Imagine having your concert get bombed and then going home to Florida to your family and trying to sleep the night. She said it didn’t feel right but what are you supposed to do in that situation. You are told to go home and sleep while the city of Manchester is in mass panic. It must have been so hard. This story is very touching to me because my uncle was about to go to this concert but he got bad grades ❤to all the angles
I still remember when this happened and I was quite young(11 Years), I didn't know what losing life meant. But now, I understand. It hurts, knowing that wherever I might be me and my family is not safe. It hurts just thinking that even children are not spared. It hurts that I can no longer trust someone else other than my family. It hurts to know that, people think killing others can send them to heaven. The world is really a cruel place to be in. That's why, cherish every moment of your life.

I was on the tram at the time of the explosion (for you Americans who aren’t familiar with the layout of Manchester then the tram stop Manchester Victoria is directly below the arena), the explosion was so brutal that the tram shook so hard it almost de-railed. I never really tell anyone this but that was my experience of the bombing
