I had the honour to attend the concert in Munich. And I can tell you in the category „young talented musicians playing their debut Album“ I can only remember Lenny Kravitz presenting Let Love Rule in 1989 which left me impressed and happy like Cardinal Black! This night will remain one of my all time faves. Thanks Chris for uploading and signing the record. Glad meeting you lovely people. All the best for the band! 😊

Thats the feeling Ive got after the Vienna show, I wasnt around when all the big bands were growing but they will be huge in few years imo
I was watching this episode on release day at about 7:00 pm, 10 seconds in i had to pause to take a look at the tour dates when i realized if i get in my car right now i can make it to the show in aflenz (2 hour drive). Amazing show in a small venue (which are my favorites), standing in front of Chris's amps was mindblowing. What a great player, what a great band! Super nice guys as well, got my album signed, shakehands and a little chat, left with a big smile on my face and the impression, that this truly was one of the best shows I've seen in a loooong time!
That is so awesome! Wish I could see them when they are coming to the US, but nothing on the East Coast.
Man, I can't get enough of your soloing chops and CB's songs. In the 70's you'd already be filling up Stadiums ;) Please come to play in Paris, I'll be front and center ;)

Thanks for the video. This is what we did when I was in a band. Load in, setup, load out all on our own. And we drove the van pulling a trailer. It was hard work but we had a blast. This is the reality for most gigging musicians. Cheers, Chris!

This is my favourite video on your channel so far. You're like an octopus, Mr. Buck, a multi-tasking Jack of all trades (in case you need an assistant tentacle, I volunteer!). BTS videos like this give us a glimpse of your tour life. It's very tough but rewarding. I laughed a lot with the nuts part and because of your intermittent quips. But my heart sank when you had to pay quite a sum for the fine. I'm thrilled to hear Cardinal Black is going to the U.S. This is excellent news! More power to you guys 🔥

It probably feels like quite a journey for you and I imagine along the way it's like slogging along through an unending bog, especially in contrast to the soul blessing joy of doing what you've been created to do in some form of another each day. Just know that your fans see and appreciate your hard work and we are all so thankful for you "runnin' down your dream" as you carry us along for the ride. My wife and I saw you in Cork while visiting Ireland in spring of 2023. Small intimate venue and despite a rampaging flu bug in the band you guys pulled of a stellar show with all the energy you could possibly have mustered. I can't wait for the day Cardinal Black hits the stage at the Ryman here in Nashville, TN. Blessings to you all, health and peace always. Cheers

I'd really love to see you guys release a live album. Your studio album is fantastic, but your solos from all of the live footage you've shown on Friday Fretworks is just insane. I'd love to have the live versions of these songs with these incredible solos.

What a great insight into life on the road for CB . I’d heard that touring Europe post Brexit is tough going between countries and cops etc not interested in some t shirts and merch to calm them down . Van must have been sitting down low for the cops to notice , trust me it happens in the U.K. too . Glasgow gig last year was best of my year and looking forward to two gigs this year . Don’t ask me to sing along as punters will run screaming into the street !! Chin up , kick ass 👍

That was really an incredible concert in Munich! You did an impressive performance and the atmosphere at the concert was great. This night will also remain one of my all time favorites. I became aware of Cardinal Black when I saw Chris 2022 in a workshop at Guitar Summit 2022 in Mannheim. I wish you all the best for your upcoming tours 😊
I toured Europe with my band in 2005 in a van with another band. Was a great few months. Any days off we would go play a pub or even an internet cafe for a little extra cash to get by. It was rough and ready but a great experience.

Every bar I've played in that neared that size I always get told my little 1x12 18W amp is too loud, can I turn it down. Chris shows up with dual 4x10 amps and cranks them. Just love it. The dichotomy between what a local cover band has to deal with versus a real act at a venue. This looked like great fun. Hopefully you can manage a tour and get near to Chicago in the USA, that would be great! Can't recommend Fitzgerald's more, going to see Bros Landreth there next month and it's a great small/big venue like this one.

I was at the gig in Stuttgart and he in fact does not crank them, both amps were set to 3 ;)
Which means you can get a great sound despite not being extremely loud.
Nice home movie. Great idea. Yep, the German Police just love those travelling bands. Loads of fines for them to levy. Good you could solve it. Keep it coming. Sell out concerts are worth the agro. C u in Shepherds Bush.

That looks like a lot of work Brother and I never thought of a Little Giant being a required piece of gear for a band. Got your CD as an import, when you get to America local union stage hands will do your load in and out, at least the 2500 seater theater I was a maintenance guy for did. You just point and show em where you want it. Hope to see you guys someday, Indiana wants you!
This brings back the sheer enervation I felt from 50 years of playing in various club bands. Humping your own gear, odd shaped stages, iffy PAs, unhelpful sound guys, arrogant local impressarios, non-existent promotion, surprising electronic fails, forgotten equipment, broken strings and machine heads, disgusting green rooms etc. But then...the MUSIC!

Interesting to see that you do a lot of your own hard work carting equipment into gigs and setting up the stage.
I guess it is only really the mega global bands that have everything done for them in advance
I'm in a band that plays small pubs, and we generally - from leaving home, to getting home - spend 6 to 8 hours on a gig
and it seems it's not just bands like us that have to cart all our equipment in and out of a gig...
Well done for showing the reality, even though you are a well known guitar celebrity with a band that tours Europe, and plays venues like The Albert Hall
(something I would have to have a Lottery win to fund myself - and only 20 people would turn up)

You are in a well known band, you personally are a celebrity guitarist - sorry, guitar magazines do interviews with you, and so on - and you still get pulled over by the Police, and get fined money that would make everything uneconomical for any other UK band of your size to do a tour ....
and that's ignoring the cost of the paperwork that you probably have to go through just to play a single gig in Europe now the UK is out of the EU

That's a great little venue. Every town should have at least one venue like that. Sadly, that's not the case in the UK and it seems we're losing those that we do have.
It was a dream of mine to tour as a musician. My bands and I never were good enough. It's super interesting to watch what you do every day. Even with the difficulties you guys had, I'm still slightly envious of the play and travel. Great tones by the way. The two fender amps were glorious. Bring back a strat though!
Always put the buy-out money on the rider/booking contract. Top tip.
