I don't know if this is a skill, but it's a piece of awareness that can make a huge difference in making sure your team is all together for another fight: Helping your teammate making their way back to fight. Can you fall back as lucio to taxi your tank? Or pull teammate as lifeweaver? or set up a TP if you're Sym? or set a speed ring down close to spawn to help those making their way back to the team? can you move back a bit to give Kiriko and Mercy someone to TP to? If I see someone trying any of these, we usually have a better game because of the team's increased awareness.
Thats what ruined the game. Supports and their get out of jail free cards. I remember when supports bitched that sombra had a tp, but didnt say anything when supports had and still have immunity.
I agree with you ... but what we get are players that when they lose the team fight and they die, they would sit in their shame corner by spawn (weirdly never in spawn itself) spamming to group up.... and then blame you for not grouping up when you die.... like if I dont die in the team fight , youre technically supposed to group up with me cause why would I give up my positioning is keeping me alive in the first place ...
“I don’t have to try my hardest to get value”. So basically people like ow1 more cause it was easier and more beginner friendly and slow? Or is it cause it’s just casual? It just sound like people like that characters are super easy and broken. But then they complain if ow2 character gets the slightest buff… I seriously don’t get this player base. I love the high skill of ow2. I love the pace. I would never wanna go back to this unbalanced mess.
I think part of it is people miss a time when stats were less visible and the game is less in your control. In some games, even in 5v5 but more so in 6v6, you and your subpar performance is less important to the outcome of the game. And sometimes your team is just better and you are basically spectating a win. Ow1 people didn’t see stats, and the obfuscation helped people shield themselves from responsibility for losses.
Agreed, honestly i wonder what that person wants I also love ow2 pacing where everyone has an impact not where people loose a duel to most dps as a tank because I'm basically the same as them but bigger, less damage and more hp Watched a guy on tiktok say he loves that mode because "he can finally kill tanks on his own as a dps" in your opinion generally looking should dps win battles against tank because i feel tanks should win 75% of the time. Also I've noticed a lot of videos on people hating on dva are hating matrix and i just thought of something Dva holding up matrix is the same as rein holding up his shield or sigma deploying his shield so why do soldier players complain if dva blocks their ult but heroes like rein can do the same just with a shield instead
@@Mickeysherethat’s a good theory. Same when tanks say that they don’t “want the responsibility to carry” but then in ow1 they complained that they weren’t impactful enough and it was up to the dps to carry. I also think it’s the nostalgia they were chasing. There’s no way they enjoy a widow that can one tap with a body shot and a torb that can pretty much solo the team himself. It’s just so confusing. They fight that the game is not competitive enough and leaning to the casual and should just balance around high elo but then now they say they like this cause it’s more casual? I’m dizzy.

Re: mobility creep; Only around 5 heroes TOTAL don't have mobility. However, mobility creep only becomes an issue with disparities in its value. Yeah mobility is now a modern component of the game, but it must be tuned around the case-by-case value it brings. AND what value is net gained/lost from having a less mobile hero. We can't have hypermobile heroes that also have massive strengths in the rest of their kits because there needs to be a division of strengths and weaknesses. What are the tradeoffs FOR the added mobility? (Usually not much, which is the issue currently)
I guess this is also just an issue with the increasing amount of generalist hero design with the cast. The tradeoffs and drawbacks for hero choices is what made team comp building fun in Overwatch. If Juno, Kiri, and Bap can do everything a support would need to do, why play anyone else outside of niche scenarios? At this point, the devs need to rip the bandaid in one direction or the other: make existing tradeoff heroes more generalist, or make generalists more specialist. Imo, I think the latter is the better choice.
@@m.artifex2001 specialization is also what made the original roster so fun and the prospect of swapping heroes mid game appealing. Now people only swap to hard counter.
@m.artifex2001 Why not have tradeoff heroes and specialist heroes? I don't get why it has to be one or the other. You say there's not a point in playing tradeoff heroes if there are generalist heroes but trade off heroes still get plenty of play time. You also have to remember that people want "new" more than they want "balance". It's hard to make a lot of tradeoff/specialist heroes because there are only so many niches that can be filled before it becomes overly redundant.
12:35 adding onto what you’re saying, i’m masters and even in my lobbies i always call out to never use ults on last point bc usually they just panic ult to take the point back, then we have 5 ults going into the next two fights and those are usually free fight wins.
Widow needs a massively increased charge time on her one shot, it’s not fair how quickly she can move from one target to another. In a game where every other character manages cooldowns, it’s a little unfair when a hero with a consistent one shot kill can stand completely out of the fight and wipe everyone within 5 seconds, and only manage two pretty unimpactful cooldowns.
Why is console QP que so much faster than pc cue? Console i almost never see 3 min unless im 5 stacking. With my pc buddy its almost never less than 5 min if we have a group of 3. Usually around 8-10 min qp ques.
Overwatch classic is beyond boring for me, it's terribly balanced and half the cast feel awful to play I'm convinced most people like it solely for nostalgia
I'm only playing Classic for the battle pass xp, need that discord kitten player title. I don't know how people like that mess and I've been playing since S2 of OW1.
I always thought it was weird that they nerfed Hanzo and changed him so much but god forbid Widows one shot gets changed or they make it easier to counter her but y'know "ChArAcTeR iDeNtIty!"

Well, Mobility creep hasn't gotten worse but new heroes are way to overtuned! Juno's ULT is broken!!! She is SUPPORT but her ULT completely surpasses any other ULT! There is no downside to her ULT!!! It makes sense that it moves but it's so dumb! Juno's ULT creates space and it wins team fights😑 Auto-missiles🤦🏾♂️ Pls Blizzard! Reduce Missile DMG to 70 and it's still so damn strong!!! 85 DMG for now required aim is so stupid!!!

I find it weird that people feel like they have more impact in Classic, I often feel like I can't do shit as support and half of the dps
Most people are DPS players. Tanks can't tank and supports can't heal in Classic. Of course most DPS players are having a good time in Classic.
mostly dps players who say that
sym and mercy suck. mercy and Lucio don't have their fun movement.
And Zen is basically a dps anyways.

I mean, Sombra is still pretty effective against widow. Just harder to scout her position and attack routes

Widows are pretty unpleasant to play against in classic.
Theres a lot you can do to counter widowmaker lol
Though it's fun and noatalgic to go back for a while, the game has improved A LOT, i hope more people realize that playing classic
agreed
As a genji main its fun to play him like the lore actually makes him out to be.
Mobility is good.
It has a high skill cap and it's fun.
Maybe I'm crazy but I don't feel like team wide sustain strats are super viable at least compared to its peak in s7-s8

There is 3 different consoles in the queue
If you choose to queue from only your specific console pool you would probably not get any games at all
Just wait until the game goes full 6v6 again and you get them 15-19min queues.

Widow can't one shot tanks. Hanzo used to be able to.
Lol it's not just novel it's a better version of the game. You can barely find a quickplay game because everyone is just playing classic.

It doesn't require aim because it's so easily dodged. You should only be getting hit by her pulsars if you have zero cover at all.
