Whenever I think I'm getting pretty good,I watch a Milspec video,eat a little humble pie,& press to improve all my shooting skills,draw,reloads, trigger manipulation,movement etc.
People bothered by running a BAD Lever remind me of the Iraqi SWAT guys in Iraq. I helped support the ODA Teams that trained them. They had cases of brand spanking new AKs, some had wooden foregrips on them, others didn't. The Iraqis refused to be issued an AK with the foregrip.They explained to them why it was so much better, and they stated that it was a woman's weapon, and they refused to carry them. Apparently, when the Iraqi military trained, under Saddam, they issued the females the weapons with the foregrips.

I would like to see you guys do some drills with a target that has clothing...ie, coat, hat, scarf etc. We all can see our hits and adjust accordingly! Not being able to see where you are hitting will add a different element.

As an avid USPSA shooter, until you've shot while moving, you wont understand the complexity of rapid decision making. Safety, background, muzzle control, trigger control, foot work, aiming, seeing your target, deciding if the shot is good enough, the list goes on....

More natural and faster draw instead of reaching back. You could say biomechanics.
Relaxed is more so about 2:30 position and that helps with natural body mechanics. I like to use my forearm as point of reference and that helps with consistency

it doesnt stick down as far, ive usually seen it with people using bipods or shooting prone alot but if thats his work gun its probably easier to grab in a car that way

Cardio means nothing, if you don’t run or train with the full equipment.
first guy needs to work on his fitness before more rifle training... you're much more likely to get smoked when you can't move much, even if you are very proficient with your tools. not trying to be a dick, just working as a doctor in both civilian and military i've seen what obesity and poor fitness does to survival rates.
While I agree that fitness is critically important, all other training shouldn’t be outright ignored because of him being a bit out of shape. If anything, rifle training/“LARPing” is a great excuse for people to get outside and get exercise while also building skills in their firearms and learning what’s best with their kit. Hopefully that includes working out their kit as they slim down overtime as the kit won’t fit or work the same when let’s say he’s 30 lbs lighter next year after a lot of hard work. That obviously shouldn’t be his ONLY exercise for the week, but using training outside and running around in your kit or on the range to supplement normal exercise is icing on a cake if anything, and just fun. Your position on fitness isn’t wrong in the slightest. But I don’t think ignoring other aspects of training, and arguably just as important, stopping in doing things you enjoy (shooting in this case whether casual or more serious like this video) to PURELY focus on fitness is the right thing. If anything that is gonna burn most normal, everyday people out of stuff like this.
