You are an answer to prayer Pastor Cooper. I was hurt by the church on many occasions the last time leaving with a big hole in my soul that I actually literally felt for months. I tried church many times and for some reason I seem to be a target for this kind of behavior. I’m not a mean or hateful person. I have a big and generous heart. Im going to keep listening to your sermons on this subject and keep trying to work through this hurt. I’m glad you understand this kind of stuff happens and you demonstrate such compassion and grace as you minister Gods word. I’m truly grateful for you!!!!
There are some personalities who are more likely to be targeted by bullies and it’s the best qualities (gentleness and meekness) which are exploited and abused. The greatest act of defiance against such people is to retain your qualities.
I agree. The more I became aware of those personality types and have stepped out of being bullied or manipulated by them the more aggressive they have become. I don't react to them just simply draw my own personal boundaries. I do believe it's the world system of power and control. And if it's not addressed or dealt with our Lord and Savior then it's carried through the church system well disguised. I think before anyone steps into leadership in the church shouldn't just get educated to take those positions should also go through a recovery process of their own to get to those roots. You can see these traits on a graph by Pete Walkers book CPTSD. God lead me to this book to really open things up to me and to deliver an important message to a global pastor to finally deal with this for those who are willing to listen and bring about change in our churches. Many things have gotten distorted. Seems spiritual but it's the worldly system covered up by spiritual words and actions. I do believe the change is happening. I have noticed that. God has been awesome in helping me through everything that has happened as I push through this with Him. Thank you so much for your comment. You may want to get Pete Walkers book even if it's not faith based seeing the graphs in it helps us to see the dynamics of what is really taking place and to get an edge on it. Let the Holy Spirit open things up more to you as he has done with me. God definitely and oddly lead me to that book. I'm so glad churches are finally at least talking about on the pulpit and helping so many of us who sadly have been impacted by this in a church or churches to bring healing. Including myself. Blessings
This was for me! I haven't been to church in a year and a half. My story is long but I never lost faith, but I lost hope in the church. I know that God showed me this at the exact moment I needed it. God is good, all the time!
What you lost hope in is a no hope at all invention of man and is not in any way the church but a consumate lie of the flesh. Separation from the dissolution and false church is nessecary to begin reconciliation to the risen Christ even you be led to follow Christ alone without decieved by an " institution ".
This speaker is in denial of prevention and Truth talking about nothing to do righteousness to begin with and pulls wool over the peoples eyes with " his carnal " answer to the pain of unrighteousness. Everyone again walks out of that meeting worse off than when first sitting down there. This is a common occurance .
thank you, Pastor for your courage to share your own story of abuse perhaps one day or maybe you have already done so to share a little bit more in order for the church to heal from Sexual Abuse, which is rampant. On another note, Church is very devastating to people so I probably wouldn’t have asked people to help and serve that could’ve been left for another day. Another sermon another announcement time, I think when you preach about church, you should just focus on how much you love people and how much you feel so sorry for what they’ve been through as it’s crushing them and not really ask anything of them. I understand we have to forgive and let go and all these things you did acknowledge the pain that the love of God almost always telling people what to do they can do as a pastor you can but there’s a time for everything and hurting people. Don’t always need to hear what they need to do what they did wrong. What they need to do right especially when they’re hurting, I hope Pastor hear this to empathize more
You must not be a bible thumper also going verse and chapter . To begin there was no printing press till about 1550 so people did not possess " bibles " then and think distribution would have been somewhat slow for a while. Think also whoever would be saved was not by reading a book before the invention of printing press.

Thank you pastor
Paul lived a life of forgiveness
After we forgive them , then what? Just keep forgiving 70×7. Gods grace is sufficient
Thank you for addressing
Make an allowance for each others faults
Amen!!!🙏🏽🙏🏽
