Tusk you! It’s only one dollar to try my praise and worship course on the website. But all the best to you whatever you do and wherever the Lord takes you.
This is so helpful! Thank you, Shawn. Dang -- should've paid attention when teacher went into theory during piano lessons 60 years ago!! Somehow I just couldn't follow! Now these stiff old fingers need a refresher course -- lots of practice -- and a great teacher like you. Nothing satisfies the soul like sitting down to play. Appreciate your video very much! God bless you
Hey Shawn, that’s awesome, such a simple tune all abilities that can build into spine tingling emotion.. need to feel that emotion through playing as well. Great way to teach strumming plucking those piano chords, love your style.. thanks for sharing,
Thank you so much! This is a blessing from the Lord doing these chords sheet lessons on RUclips. If the views and watch time keeps soaring as they are, I’ll be able to keep it up.
Thank you so much! This has always been one of those songs I struggle with (but can play it for the congregation to sing), but the way you broke it down, made it so much easier. I love how it you showed different ways to play it.... especially the last way....so much fun and unexpected
You make it seem so easy! I learned chords but not how to break it up and play like that. I think you just taught me how to play accompaniment in one lesson! 🤩
Hello. I do know his to play piano a little bit but I like to learn to play reading cords and nit by notes? Where do I start using your video? Learning the cords like c cord or f cord or a cord? Please. Loved watching this one and I like to be able to play like you do. Thank you. Glad I found you here.
Hey Shawn love your videos and this series . I was wondering if you could add sections to these videos so intermediate/advanced folks can jump around? Or even just to quickly restart or practice a technique or tip you demonstrate per phase of video?
Good job keep playing chord songs like this one I’m learning how to play piano thank you keep it up on you tube please 12-1-24 346 am . We don’t have a piano player at church I am hoping to learn to play for church
Please share all my p and w videos. I’ve got have enough views to keep doing this for free. 😀. I’ll have to shut it down and put everything on my website if that’s the case. 🙁
I am watching you from Africa continent. Thank you for all you do on YT. I'm beginning to understand how chords are important in music. I recently decided to learn the rudiments of music.@@webpianoteachershawncheek
Thank you so much for this video, you have won a subscriber already 😂 . Please I really want to know about the theory of music, I'm an intermediate piano player.
Can't believe I've only just found your channel. I subscribed straight away. Love your teaching style. I have been looking for something like this, a teacher like you who actually shows you what they're saying you can do lol! Then goes off and does some flashy jazzy stuff leaving you feeling totally demoralised. Want to learn to be able to solo and improvise like this but being classically trained, it's hard for me with no notation. Although I followed what you were doing as far as the jazzy and bluesy stuff is concerned I would be grateful of some notation for those styles. I appreciate you're doing this for free and I admire and am thankful for your selflessness and altruism so apologies if I've been a little cheeky. It takes time and I am sure people would pay for that, I know I would. Can't wait for the next video with my tips and tricks. Particularly fills and runs. Thank you Shawn.
That’s a great idea for a lesson! If you will do a two minute video call with me to put on the testimonial page of my website, I will do this request for you. Email me at easypianolessons@yahoo.com if you want to do this. Thanks! Shawn.
Hey Shawn. Please help me to understand how to know the chord change in the song. You mentioned about syllables. Walk me through the process. Help highlight the syllables in the song. Is it words with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 syllables or open and closed syllables? Is it a consonant or vowels sound? Help me to understand it better.
The chord symbols are right over the syllable of the word that you need to change on. Use the slowdown function on the video player, a lot of viewers tell me that that helps them a bunch.
@@webpianoteachershawncheek My biggest trip up was when the chords are placed in the wrong spot which happens more often than you can imagine . Eventually you can hear and anticipate where the changes happen . Counting helps a bunch also or playing along with someone . If you can print out the song you can move a chord to the right place to help .

“Angus Dei - Holy Spirit/Alleluia” key C
You bet, Paul! That’s a Michael W. Smith song right, if memory serves? You are the only one to do this so far, so it’ll be you if no one else does it.
While paino we are not able see your finger moments so while playing the piano there a strip is covering so we are not able see the fingers
