How I Make Parrot Chop - Bird's Food Preparation

- That’s how I make a nutritious meal for my birds!! 🥬🥒🥕🌽🍌🍑🥦🍠
This meal can be put into freezer bags and thawed the night before you feed your birds. Divide the mixture according to how many birds you have instead of freezing the whole mixture.

LenseyMCdler if you want a parrot like hers I’d like to think that’s always something you have wanted rather than just because it looks pretty on film..there’s lots of work involved ...lots of training..this part is a small part..but if you feed this to a bird it’s easy to eat this well as well..
Absolutely wonderful. Thanks for your video. I have been doing the natural feeding system from BirdTricks for a few months now (I have a mitred conure)...sometimes I felt I was going crazy cooking all the grains and beans, then chopping all the veggies.....glad I am not alone in the process, I feel so much better about feeding fresh food to my parrot friend. Bird Tricks diet is another way I would do things differently. The cookbook looks SO beautiful! How long does the batch last? I guess the mini pads are probably helpful for absorbing moisture for many things, right? 😉 😄
The recipe makes 2 gallons of food. How long it lasts depends on how many birds you have and how big they are/how much food they eat
For how long should we freeze it?
SO can this also be frozen in the vaccume seal and taken out later or ? i love my boy and had no idea of how many things i could give him i was told no on so many veggies and beans i was like ok so just seeds and nuts ? his fav is pomagranit
Is that my problem with freezing..I don’t have a vacuumed packer..or do I ..will a laminator do this....if I put carrots in my chop that’s it destroyed,I have a rescued pair of lovebirds who when I found them were on the verge of death from starvation..I literally found them in the nick of time and there loving most of everything I offer lentils sprouts but if I put carrots in they eat around them regardless of how tiny I make them..I have a macaw chick coming soon..he’s 17 days old but I can’t go see him till the travel restrictions are up..

shining star beans go in whole otherwise they’ll get all smashed and mushy

yusra fauz hi yusra. Congrats in your new bird wish all the best. I served two meals at day for them breakfast or lunch and dinner... my diet chopped veggies at day time and for dinner they eat dried organic pallets.

What would you say is the difference between owning a dog vs bird?
It's pretty obvious, I mean common sense right?. A dog will love you for ever and birds are more to love.
Dogs are ready to love you and will be completely loyal to you, ready to give love to anyone at a moments notice. A bird however, you will need to gain their trust, gain their respect and learn their body language to get anywhere with them. A bird does not love you and show affection readily. A bird needs mental stimulation through training and can not live in a cage all of its life like many people assume. A bird needs one to one attention every single day and you can’t take your eyes of a bird for more than a second, it’s is literally like looking after a toddler no matter what age the bird is !
the food is sticking to my cockatiels beak... why?
It might have millets, chickpeas or sweet potatoes. It doesn't really matter though. I'm sure your cutie wouldn't mind having a tasty meal all over his beak.
