About this project: I am writing a weekly sci-fi story to the theme of Isaac Arthur’s SFIA videos. It’s a crazy challenging timeframe to create a good short story in, and to do so publicly is even more daunting. I’m just hoping some good stories come out of this, I have fun writing them, and most importantly, the audience enjoys!

I taught my eldest daughter to read by reading her a story a night and she started correcting me if I misspoke at four and a half.
We had no idea she was following the words on the page till she started correcting me.
Everyone was sure she had memorised the stories till she started reading books she had never seen before.
She could read before school.

i did have a technical question. is it still foreshadowing if the events are in the past ?
Fabula or szujet is the really technical answer. Foreshadowing is a narrative technique that would thus only apply to the narrative tale and the manner in which the narrator tells it (the szujet or story-sequence) rather than the true-timeline of the events that unfold in the storyworld (the fabula). Really, what matters is whether the foreshadowing event precedes the event it signals in the story, regardless of the storyworld's linear timeline. That's the short answer, MrIzzy 😃 Hope it doesn't further confuse the issue (which is likely, I concede).
No I get it, foreshadowing hints at the untold events upcoming in the story , not the chronological sequence of events. I really knew it already. just poking the genius . Though not to offend but to get the best answer. Thanks for the Russian terms for it , very PHD in literature of you ;P
I also think you set up whatever is to come just right, and right from the beginning with the 3rd death passage. The past is still largely an open book so to speak.
one small request for your book. include the origin stories some slip in nicely some may need a bridge of that is a proper term. although just a chapter like a jump cut in film to an unrelated scene which becomes more meaningful later would serve well too. We fans are so familiar with them , we don't need them,, but i think they are needed for new readers. just my 2 cents. it will be and has been wonderful either way.

Listen. First off, you absolutely read my mind. Throughout the story, I kept thinking I needed these stories compiled so that I could read/ listen to it again. To pick up on all the juicy bits I'm sure I've missed 😁. Secondly, thank you for making these amazing stories that have enraptured us your faithful following over this past year. I will most certainly support you in the coming year.
Lastly, your method of storyteller is super captivating, but with a busy life and the way you hop to and fro along the timeline, sometimes my old brain gets confused. Can you suggest a chronological order to listen to the stories for each series? Or would the books help me in this regard?

There's always a way 😃 I had someone else ask me about this about a week ago and I have it on my to-do list. I'd like to figure out a process so that I can offer it as an option, but it's going to take a little bit of exploration, because of shipping and other considerations that Amazon and other retailers take care of. Are you willing to wait a week or so? I'm working on a couple end-of-year things first.

I've now set my morning aside to really absorb the tension, sadness, portent and to feel with Burch, the awful impact of what seems to be the loss of Ship. We have a strange almost romantic relationship with technology to write complex stories of the technical conquerors we create, it's a love story we repeat as we did with. Frankenstein.

Thanks for asking, Charles! They started off in the artifact ("Welcome to the Future" Ep. 11), which brought them to the future timeline. Death returned them to their starting point again. All still very mysterious 🤔 if you ask me 😃
