About this project: I am writing a weekly sci-fi story to the theme of Isaac Arthur’s SFIA videos. It’s a crazy challenging timeframe to create a good short story in, and to do so publicly is even more daunting. Those misfits are such complex characters you can literally hear the animosity in Fields voice and the cut throat manner in which Sebastian comes across. This story needs too be either animated or made into a movie or better yet a series ❤

War is such a horror and you paint your words with all the colours of reality that it involves. Brilliant.

Do you ever watch DUST? The one posted to RUclips today shows the 1st AI screen play" The DUST Files "Outer Space" | DUST " , written in early 2021 It is terrible disjointed nonsense or in some ways maybe accidently farcical It did accidently bring to mind how much language could change in the future . but still goofy - the acting must have been very challenging. I'm Sure ChatGPT could do much better now.
It recalls we spoke a little about AI . and also makes me wonder have you thought about writing or adapting something for DUST?
I am honestly enthralled by the military twist to the perspective this story is written with.

Another great story. So L was on burning rock. So many references to burning rock but still a mystery. I love how each power has their own culture. But I still think Traps is pretty cool and would like to learn more. They remind me of the old soviet union for some reason.
But this story was a trip the whole way through. It's hard to believe it was over an hour since I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
I know sooner or later one of the misfits are going to die. But that's story telling. I just hope you avoid bringing in Field Stone for this sacrifice. It doesn't mean as much to lose a new character.
But thank you again my friend for another great story!
Thanks, Todd! Yes, we haven't quite gotten to Burning Rock yet (but we will I'm sure). And I'm definitely excited about diving deeper into all these places, the Trasp Protectorate definitely being one. I think it's up to the muse if/when anybody dies I never know until she whispers in my ears 😃

I really enjoy the stories. One question, if I may, how do I determine which order the stories are in. I tend to bounce around and it is a bit confusing.

So between the "Misfits" "Misfits Origins" "Tales from the West Battery War" and "Assorted Tales from the Greater Battery," you should get a good sense of how this crazy project is starting to fit together 😃
