I love the story line and I really enjoyed the fact that it's so far removed from reality that I didn't find myself picking it apart because of the small inconsistencies that pile up when people try to mix their fiction to closely with reality....all I have to do for that these days is turn on any world news broadcast....
But it's hard to find much sympathy for a protagonist who's only virtue would appear to be dumb luck....if I was a character in this book. my part would be summarized in one short sentence....he took one look at her and ran in the opposite direction.

Pros: This is an entertaining and enjoyable adventure story with a few interesting characters.
Cons: The world building is not very fleshed-out in terms of where locations are in relation to one another. Doesn't impact the story really, would just be nice to be able to picture the layout of things.

I don't understand how a girl running through the market triggered a flying dinosaur.
It probably saw the village and saw movement which any flying animal would of seen. It wasn't waiting for the girl to steel an egg 🙏🏽💭💭🤔 hmmmmm
But people always need someone to blame. To me it sounded like the guards weren't doing their job. I'm sure it had to be seen in the area before she stole the egg.
Otherwise I am enjoying the story.

The market had a canopy over it, but yes, id think a large group of people would likely make enough noise that a chase through the market wouldn't be so different

The A1 narrator picking random voices and moods ( anger when happy etc, shouting when calm etc ) is very off putting and sometimes you have to try and work out which character is actually speaking.

Good book I enjoyed it. However, I find the narration a little strange. I can’t figure out why rogue is made to sound like she has such a manly voice when all the male characters in the book are given voices of a much higher pitch female voice. Seems like that should be switched around. for the first five chapters, I was so confused listening to this because of that, I thought the character was intended to either be a male or that there was more than one character talking that it wasn’t just her thinking.

Not too bad of a story but, this entire trope of causal animals taking over is just kinda meh. Dinosaurs are just bigger animals, if we can deal with elefants and tigers, well be able to handle dinosaurs aswell, in the end theres still guns after all. Dinosaurs might be tankier than most animals we have today, but what a tank cannot withstand, a dino shouldnt be withstanding eighter.
