  • This blanket has to be one of my ultimate easy-knits. I don't know what it is about blankets knitted diagonally (or on the bias / corner to corner) but they just seem to fly off my needles at a speed that no other project does. I know this is probably just my perception, but it helps massively when you want to knit up the perfect baby gift in record time!

    You make such clear and easy-to-follow knitting videos, and I love this variation of your prior diagonal blanket. I made the original diagonal garter stitch blanket in a large size for a newborn-through-toddler blanket for a new grand nephew, and I think I might make this variation in a similar size for his granny (my sister) as part of my physical therapy following shoulder surgery. I am converting from English to Norwegian style knitting to be more ergonomic, and this blanket will give me lots of opportunity to practice. Then I will try to learn Norwegian purling. You make it look so easy! You always have such lovely yarn, too, although it is not always easy to find the same in the USA. Thank you!

    Thank you for the great detailed demo. Would this pattern work on a bulkier yarn eg one that takes a 6mm knitting needles on the label? Would love to use your pattern as I made one that requires counting and took too long to finish the project.

    Hi! If I wanted to make a slightly fatter border before the edge definition detail, would I just simply add additional stitches during that portion of the patter?

    • @SnufflebeanYarn
      @SnufflebeanYarn  2 месяца назад +1

      You can, but you’ll find that your decrease corner curls up excessively because of the extra stitches. I tried to work around it but never managed to sort it so just settled on the slimmer border

    Do you happen to have a c2c pattern that isnt just garter or seed? It seems us knitter's have such limited c2c options while crocheters have bounty of patterns. Thanks ~

    • @SnufflebeanYarn
      @SnufflebeanYarn  9 месяцев назад +3

      Hi! The trouble with a knitted c2c is that anything other than garter or seed stitch can end up slightly diamond shaped as the stitches are slighter taller than they are wide. I’m trying to come up with something that combines some stockinette and other stitches but it’s taking me some time.
