  • Leupold's Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg is in eastern Nevada chasing mule deer. Randy is joined by his son, Matthew, along with friends Mike Spitzer and Scott Jones on this public land early November hunt. This is exactly as the episode aired on Sportsman Channel; Season 5, Episode 4
Randy, Matthew, and Mike all have tags. They have decided to hunt the last six days of season, hoping the early rut activity will bring older bucks to the area.
In Part 1, Matthew and Randy both filled their tags. Now it is Mike's turn. Mike is know to be particular and patient, knowing what he wants when he sees it. With only two days remaining, Mike has put a lot of pressure on himself by passing all the bucks he saw on the next day, leaving the final day to fill his tag.

Congrats to all involved in such an awesome 3 out of 3 Mule Deer buck hunt in Nevada, yes all three are absolute trophies in my book (never hunted mulies since I live in West Virginia), but the time spent with friends and family out on a On Your Own Adventure following some Fresh Tracks of beautiful mule deer. Mike made one heck of a shot at 450 yards at his dream buck and you and Mathew doubled up again in the same day again with those two brutes. Now you and your son of done that with Mule Deer and Elk, what a treat and a blessings. Memories to last a lifetime.

I've just recently became a subscriber to your channel. These episodes of your 2016 hunt really hit home for me. I live just a couple hours away from where you were. To see you having such a good time and hear you say that it was one of your most memorable hunts made my heart swell with pride. I agree with you saying you don't know how you could ever top it. I am myself totally in awe! Thank you very much for the respect and sharing this story. And by the way, the video did do it justice!👍

    "Howa handshake"
What a joke! Randy, you miss most of your shots!
That expensive rifle they gave you isn't shit when you can't shoot!
I have better aim and consistency with my $500 rifle and $250 scope
