Turned 69 this year and after fighting Cancer for 8 years and going on 2 years Cancer free....Yee-Ha!! I was so hoping before I got to old to call you up and make a stalk with you at my side but ain’t gonna happen. Just could not get back in the kinda shape needed for us both to enjoy my company. LOL Your professional enthusiasm and attitude toward your hunter is - well let me say....You are certainly entertaining from a LazyBoy rocker. Wish I had 5 more good years and I’d be smilin’ all the way from Alaska back to Texas. I'm an old PA girl here. Been here north of Harrisburg most of my life in God's country. Rural PA is the real PA. 😊👋 Nice to chat with fellow Pennsylvanians. The interior of PA is like the best kept secret because it's so beautiful, I see wildlife every day and have dozens of birds, squirrels and chipmunks at my feeders. I even have rabbits sometimes. We watched a gray fox hunting from the back porch in spring.
I wouldn't live anywhere else. Although I'd love to see Alaska. Montana appeals to me as well.
It was really neat when Barry told where he was from. I live only a couple hours north of him and go to Butler quite often. Great video!
i have been on a binge marathon watching all of Billy's hunting but absolutely this is by far my favorite so far. I dont know if says anything about me but the butchering part is really cool because i know how much respect is put into conserving that meat. Moose is my best eating meat ever and next time i am eating another Moose i will always remember that these guys hunting em put a lot into tracking and processing the meat. Much respect to you Billy and the Birthday boy; happy 60 yrs young

I don’t know when this video was posted but I absolutely loved it all. First item was your client was from PA and that’s where I lived for 43 years. Second, the adventure to hunt bear and Moose has always been a dream for me. The closest I ever got was a turkey hunt and pheasant shoot! Not in the same level as an Alaska wild game shoot. Billy gave so much to his client’s dream that he began to loose his own dream. Praise the Lord that Billy was able to see God in all of nature around him and know that his God was there for him as well as all who look for Him. I really loved what was shown in this video; the character of both client and guide and their love and respect for Gods creatures and the love these men expressed for their families.
I live in PA most of my 60 years in God's country. 😊 Rural PA is the real PA I know and love. ❤

I never knew how hard it was to self video a hunt until I hunted with Billy. It takes a lot of focus and effort to make a watchable video while you are in some very difficult situations. He does it to provide hunts for those who maybe can't do the hunts for whatever reason. I'm sure he will appreciate your comments. I know I do.

The coldest temperatures I’ve ever hunted in wearing Arctic Shield, parka and bib coveralls was 11° and I stayed completely toasty. I don’t see how any cold weather clothes could be any better than these great stuff.
I can relate to your comments. I used to have a set of Arctic Shield. Somehow it ended up with my grandson which is more rewarding than wearing it myself. Good Stuff.

Billy, I may 50+ years as a Beaver and cub pilot and mechanic I have helped many people hunt and fish Alaska I get outside lot in the winter still and love this great land helicopter in the 1970 was what kept me alive. I would like to thank you and all the great people that you have guided over the years for this time on RUclips videos it is so sweet to look back for me 72 years I have to mostly explore on you tube my legs ant what they use to be

I think this has been your best so far Billy, your reflection on life at the end was inspiring, I'm 71 in a months time, I still hunt and fish in the mountains here in Australia so I can relate to Barry, if you let age become a barrier to your love of the wilderness then life has already passed you by.

This is the dream. I hope one day before I get to old that I can move to Alaska out in a cabin in literally the middle of nowhere hunting big game and loving life. It’s either that or a tropical island with beautiful warm weather lol. They are pretty much complete opposites but I love both and one day I will hunt moose and bear in Alaska. I know I will.

What a awesome video all the way around. I live here in Alaska and watching this video sure made me want to get out moose hunting already. I work all year so I can take a month off to moose and caribou hunt. The whole time isn’t hunting but enjoying time away from the rat race of life. Solitude away and alone sometimes is the best thing for a person. Thanks for sharing your hints with all of us who enjoy this kind of lifestyle.
There is no other place like Alaska. Lived in Anchorage for 7 years, hunted and fished around the state. Moved back to MN for various reasons, and miss Alaska every day. Lower 48 is nothing like AK- talk about a rat race - everything from the traffic to rude people, etc. The grass is greener in AK.

Absolutely love your videos, but this was the best. Your narration at the end I had to watch twice and save. I have hunted all my life, I am now 68, back is getting bad, and I have been dealing with depression as well . Your words, and wisdom are profound ! It gives me hope and strength ! Maybe someday I can add a wolf to my bucket list of adventures, that's about all my body and bank account can take nowadays. You are a great man and an inspiration. Believe it , you are it !

Billy you have some of the best, if not the best hunting videos out there. I love that fact your hunts are not covered up by music in the background. This way the observer gets to hear the lantern hissing or the coffee pot percolating, making one feel as if they are there hunting with you and your client.
Been in the Outfitting and Guide business myself since 1982, I have to agree with you, you meet many great people and make lifetime friends in a hunting camp.

This is a great video. Because, it documents the up as well as the downs that make hunting an adventure. There is much more to hunting than the kill. It's the adventure, the harvest and sharing the story of the hunt.

Absolutely loved this video....my brother has had severe arthritis most of his life...has suffered more than anyone human I know. As a result he is now one of the nicest people I know. He spends his entire life focused on helping lift the burden off of other fellow human beings and is on an experimental drug that has allowed him to once again have some form of a life.
I saw the pain and trials turn him into so much greater of a human being than he ever would have been without the trials.
All things work together for good to those that love GOD.
I sure wish I would have went on a hunt like this when I was younger . Love watching your videos Billy !

From one hunter to another, that was a powerful moose hunt! I got the chance to hunt Alberta Canada moose and elk as a student at Prairie Bible Institute. Helped with two moose and know what it is like to carry meat off a mountain. God keep you safe!!
