- S1.E14. A long overdue conversation with our brother and one of the nicest guys on the planet, Travis "T-Bone" Turner. Tbone and Michael Waddell look back at their long friendship. They talk about archery, hunting, and T-Bone's fight with cancer. Please continue to keep our hunting buddy in your thoughts and prayers.
Update: Tbone's surgery went very well and he is doing well in his recovery. He's in great spirits and said "I love you guys more than you will ever know. We are so blessed and appreciate all of you so much. I can feel the love especially the prayers that are blanketing me like armour. Thank you, thank you, guys so much." Love Tbone.

Wow you are an inspiration to me T Bone! I’m praying for you and I don’t even know you. I’m all messed up! I’m trying to get out there and hunt with a bow for the first time. I’ve never shot a bow until now, I bought my first bow and shot it this week for the first time. I can’t wait to get out there and try to hunt.
I got hit by a suburban head on, on my motorcycle I’m walking still I was hospitalized for months so I’m trying to get out there thanks for inspiring me and keep up the big fight the lord will keep you strong.
T Bone I feel for you bud. I had lost my leg below knee on my right side. I was the same as you that I had time (9years) to accept the plan of amputation. I had mine taken off in 2010 and had a prosthetic made for me. You are not at the end of your road brother. I hunt and fish and spend time in the outdoors with family and friends. You probly don’t remember but I met the brotherhood at the sportsman show in Harrisburg and you all signed my bone collector muzzleloader I purchased that day. I was fresh out of surgery when I was there driving my motorized scooter to get around. I want you to know that with the life change I had I am now a prosthetic technician building legs for people like us to keep up with their life. I deal with AK and BK and I talk with my patients and you will be strong and get through this bc your head and heart in the right place. I am here if you ever want to reach out. I remember 15-20 years ago I was in downtown Hogansville during hunting season at the car wash, washing my 4 wheeler , there was T-BONE washing his truck, I was so star struck I didn’t approach him just to say hi, I kick my self in the ass not doing it, He’s such a regular guy, Get well brother.
T bone is such a class act. He's well grounded and knows what's important in life. My prayers are with you T bone. I hope all goes well
Watched this on duty and had to pause it several times because I didn't want to be seen crying my eyes out in a patrol car. May God bless you T-Bone. You have my utmost respect as an outdoor brother and a man. You exemplify courage, genuine kindness, and peace in your soul that should be a shining example to all.

My father in law was diagnosed with a very rare sarcoma similar to your situation 8 years ago. Thankfully surgeons were able to remove the tumor and surround muscles entangled with it without amputation. It has been a long long battle and we hold our breath every six months to hear the results of his scans. Lord willing he has not had any recent progressions for about 4 years now. My prayers are with you!! I’m just a lonely country boy from PA but I grew up watching y’all and feel like we could talk and joke for hours in a deer camp. You keep fighting brother no matter what!!! Absolutely never give up even on those darkest days you fight until the good lord calls you home.
I've had the pleasure to meet Travis a couple times and get a picture. Even though I'm a stranger, He always acted like we were life long buddies. So genuine and sincere. What an example of how to treat to people and approach life. I wish I could pay it back to him.

I'm so thankful to have grown up and been inspired by the bone collector brotherhood my whole childhood and still into my adult life, this video truly kept me in tune with my emotions. Prayers to you T-Bone, can't wait to watch you back in a ground blind, collecting more bone!

Travis, my name is Jacob Runkle and I am the Fire Chief here in my small town. I lost my left leg 19 plus years ago in a work-related accident and had to learn how to do life again without it. I'm 38 years old now and have learned to live life. I hunt, fish, run my tractor, run a small landscaping business, volunteer in two counties on the fire department, and as I stated I am the Fire Chief here in Brunson SC. I say all of that to say that I know you can fight and learn to do things that you want to do in life. You may have to learn to do it a little differently but believe me you can do it. I just want you to know that there are people out there that can relate and have been there. Continue to lean on God for strength and you will be in our prayers. Travis keep your head up sir. You got this!
T-Bone your such an inspiration, I have know doubt your going make it through this. I wish I had a friend like you in my life. I will be 58 next month and not ashamed to say I cried like a baby watching this.

t bone talking about his shop reminds me of the feelings I had about my shop. I loved that place, my job was talking about hunting, fishing, shooting, etc with people that loved the same things. It wasn't a job, it was my life. T-Bone, it breaks my heart to hear about your illness and the loss of your leg. My son lost his left leg in 2011. Hasn't slowed him down a bit, he's 47

My wife and I met T Bone and Nick at a Gander Mountain grand opening in Tulsa Oklahoma a couple of years ago. Both were just like normal guys, didn't act like they were super stars. Both great guys! Get well brother, your welcome at my camp anytime 😊

Travis is spot on. People treat people so badly these days. Physical assets are great but in the end it is all about human assets. It is so grateful that you have recognize this and you are a mountain of man who has a spirit which is much bigger than you. We will be praying for you. I am happy to say that I did get a chance to shake the hand of TBone. My son and I went to an outdoor store in Cincinatti, Ohio over 20 years ago. There were several hunting celebrities there. We were looking around when TBone approached us and began talking to us. My son was around 15 years old and TBone was talking to him about hunting and fishing like he was a next-door neighbor. He shook our hands and wished us good luck the next hunting season. It was such a great time. Thank you, sir, and may God Bless You.

Very humbling!! I'll never forget when I was playing drums at Bama Jam and T gave me a bone collector hat and shirt to wear. He's always been a giver and not a taker. I've cried my eye's out watching this and my prayers are with you T!!! Also mentioning the Lord Jesus Christ in this is by far the greatest thing you could ever do. He says in the Bible that if you deny me before mankind I'll deny you before my Father. Keep the walk very close with the Lord and everything else will work out the best. Prayers for T-Bone!!! Y’all Bone Collector boys are the very definition of humility in all aspects of life, and growing up in South Georgia I was raised to be the same way. To hear this news, yeah it brought tears to my eyes but it sure enough made me stop and think how so many people come across road blocks in life and don’t stop to see how truly blessed we all are. The Good Lord won’t ever let us go through something we can’t get through, the secret to it ain’t really a secret at all, it’s staying humble, staying vigilant in our relationship with The Lord, and being the kind of loving, caring, giving people He intended for us to be. Tbone is the man! He’s thee most approachable, down to earth outdoors personality that I know! I’ve met y’all in person and have gained a lot of joy from him over the years. A special thank you to you T-Bone for helping design the MegaMeat's - they are devastating to say the least! My daughter made her first kill ever by slinging one through a buck one fall morning this past season. I used another to shoot an 8 pointer later that evening. It was by far the best day I've ever had in the woods. Both of you had a part in making that happen. Thank you and God bless!

T-Bone my friend, God has given you the strength and the courage to carry on with your life as you have in the past. There's no doubt that you will continue to do the things that you do. I have two friends that have no legs due to tragic accidents. These two men have really moved forward in life and amaze me all the time. Stay with the program the doctors have going on for you.
