Braid the start a little bit before twisting. It helps the hair last longer. Also when it’s time to moisturize, squeeze the water & moisturizer in with your hands. Don’t rub up and down your hair or it will get frizzy quicky
I am wearing wigs right now trying to regrow my hair back after having emergency brain surgery 6 months ago. They cut off 1/4 of my hair in the front so when I got out of ICU and they sent me home I shaved the rest of it off. It is growing back which I am happy to see. I love the mini twists. I can't wait for my hair to be long enough to wear them.
PLEASE relax into your speedy and complete recovery! As for your hair, it will always grow, so as long as you keep your scalp clean and your strands moisturized, all will be well! Sending you prayers of CONGRATULATIONS, HUN!!!!!
I did mini twists too, they've been in for a little over a week. I love them but i have the same issue of twirling my hair too much lol . Maintenance wise : -Oil my scalp when it itches or if i feel led. -Spray my hair with my concoction (water, rice water, aloe vera juice, lavender oil, peppermint oil, olive oil, tea tree oil and jbco ) - Then seal the moisture with my oil mixture ( same oils as above minus the lavender) -Ofc wear a scarf or a bonnet to bed I've done this whole routine once thus far but I oil my scalp more frequently. Anyways I always enjoy your videos, love from Trinidad
Hello, Rice water takes away all my itching and I use: softee mango mixed with sulfur 8 mixed with tea tree oil then moisturize my scalp; i use rice water once a month
Yes, as a new natural finding that out. I thought because I've kept it in twist, how bad could they get. But was I wrong. Have an appointment to get professionally done for the 1st time. Glad I realized sooner then later...your ends require lots & lots of care & attention.
I’m really just now getting on the twist out game and mini twists are just calling my name at this point 😍 It’s a cute style and protective and you’ll have 2 hairstyles in 1 with the twist out at the end 😫!!
I just took my mini twist out this morning 😩 I had them in for 2 weeks & was over it once it started looking dusty. My hair is currently in a bun & wont be washed until Saturday lol
I have Mini twist in nah. Been doing since march 2019 afta buying hair from Amazon. The chemical in the hair took the crown section out bigtime. Its filled in by October now it's growing. I give God ALL the glory for restoration...
I trimmed my ends while in the mini twists. It helped a lot and I really got to see a little bit what wasn’t coiling at the ends and what really needed cut. I’ve had mines in for about a week and a half now and I steam my twists and then go in with Camille Rose Almond Jai and some JBCO. I go heavy at the ends and work my way up. I plan on retwisting this weekend
I think I've had mine up for 3 weeks...I have done each section over though...I mainly redo the front. I keep it braided when I'm in the house and that helps them last longer and then you have a cute braid out
I like the fullness your twists gives you; it's a good look on you. My hair is fine so my twist don't come out too full but i'm still rocking them, will try smaller and not too much product, but I'm using the African Pride prods as well .... love'em!!!
I am 35 and I swear I'm finding new gray hairs every day, lol. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your hair and your videos. I don't have the patience to do this though.
Every wash day, I say that I’m going to do mini twists but then they end up being small/medium because my arms be like, bish if you don’t get! 😂😂😂😂. Your twists came out super cute, though. For maintenance, I spritz a bit of water & I use TGIN’s Butter Cream on my hair & then follow with Mielle Organics’ Rosemary & Mint oil on my scalp & hair as needed. & then I put my hair in about 6 jumbo twists, tie them down with a satin scarf, unravel the jumbo twists in the morning & my twists have a little curly look to them. I love it!
Wow you’re a vibe. This is what i incision mine will turn out like. I’m insecure about shrinkage, but think I’ll embrace it and slap a headband on like you. Love it and thanks for sharing!!
It looks cute! I just took my mini twist out. Wearing 6 twist now going back to mini twists soon. I always braid my roots then 3strand twist the rest, it lasts longer in my opinion. I am lazy so I always refresh my hair once a week with water, leave in spray, some cream & oil. 💕
I love doing mini twist on my oldest daughter's hair! When I love the finish results anyways. Lol she has really THIIICCCk hair. We both love that she can style her own hair!
Love it Janae. I truly enjoy your minitwist. It looks so good. Especially without the added hair. Your hair looks so shiny and healthy. Making me want to do the same. Love it.
Love it.💜✔👍🏾 I've been doing like 8 twist after wash and throw on my slap cap and that's my protective style I Spray water Mixed with leave in before I go to work in the Morning and every two day's I massage my scalp and edges with Haitian castor oil and that's my Routine.
I love twisting my hair, don't do them this small because they are meant to be untwisted but my last ones before these I kept twisted for a week got so many compliments.
I'm liking these mini twists! They turned out so good. Thank you for showing how you refresh them. I thought people just wore them until they felt like taking them down and washing them. I did know of someone who said she spent 5-6 hours every weekend on hers. That's not including the wash and shampoo. The way you do yours is way more reasonable. Btw, you may have to come up with a "Beautiful people crew" tshirt. I'd buy that.🙂
Love the look! I use 3 techniques: at the begin with 3 - strands braiding with on thin strand, then I combine the thin strand to do a two-strand twist, and then I twist the ends.
Girlllll ..u ain't only one bout Dem parts!! 😂😭😂. I can t part fr.they came out Soo cute!! And girlll speakin of brows, I need mine done Soo bad! Gonna be a good min before I hit up da nail spot though fr fr. I'm gonna try this when I wash my hair next week! I luv her hair texture. Her twist really staying in place once twisted! Just really pretty❤️❤️👏👏🔥
Naaaaaae!!! The fact that you said "some hair styles you gotta see the full full *puts makeup and earrings on* 🙌🙌🙌 Same thing I did with my mini twist and I love them. ❤️
This quarantine has me trying mini twists for the first time. I always wore braids, but I wasn’t taking care of my hair and I lost my braider, so since I stuck in the house, I decided to try to get my hair healthy and try mini twists, they are so short, so that doesn’t give me any styling options. Btw way your hair is gorgeous!! So that’s what I’ve been doing
Girl!! You always have me cracking up!!😜🤣 Thank you!! Cuz... you mighta jjjjust saved my hair for the winter!!🥶 I think I'ma gon head n try these for a "winter protective style"!! I'm dreading the six plus hours twisting it BUUUUUUT on a "Self Care Sunday" with a glass of wine, I might be ah'ight!!!😜 Stay safe girl!!💙💙💙
Your hair turned out great! Love your channel. You are so original and a beauty. Thanks for the tips.vyou inspire many what a blessing. As always thank for sharing & blessings.
I'm early!! Thank you because that's how I've been wearing my hair but didn't know what to do with it when I go to church (no, it's only 10 of us online service for the rest of the congregation). Thanks for the hairstyles.
Omg so super cute! 🤗You make me wanna try that this weekend and give myself a mini break. And you're not alone gurl! My eyebrows won't grow back in either😂🤣 you're still beautiful! Thanks for another great video! Stay well and God bless 🥰
Once my hair reaches this length, it will look so much better for me to wear without a wrap. My front is to my nose, so I have a bit to go ++ now my ends need clipping. Her twist look very nice on her, they fit her.
I love mini twist. I refresh option is just to spray my hair with water and put some cream in my hair and oil my scalp I definitely do not undo the twist and retwist them so I am doing the lazy method
I love your mini twists, they came out so good! I love the way this style looks on other people, but because I have such fine hair I never like the way mine look. I usually do about 12-15 small twists. I just wear them in a ponytail and wear a hat/scarf. I never refresh them, by the end of the week they look so raggedy, I just take them out and wash and start all over again
Girl.... can we talk about how these greys re-fuse to get in formation? 🙄 Mine will not be held back by no twists. And that is on periodt! Standing off to the side like 😏. Lol
Hold up wait a minute!! Been looking for someone to crochet my hair into an Afro because I don’t know how and not trying to study YT vids to figure it out. My hair prefers to be left alone. I can NOT style it every other day. So I might try this... 🤔 Thanks for sharing! 💜
I seriously love every style Nae does! Anyone have advice on parting/twist size? I have super thick hair and I feel like my twists either come out too large to be considered mini/wearable long-term, or instantly become too micro (not trying to have locs). I cannot seem to figure out the sweet spot in the middle. Next, I’m going to experiment with doing this on blown out hair to see if that helps me more easily determine size.
To refresh my twists I simply run mousse through them, making sure I get enough on the end so they curl back up. I try to do the least with mini twists so retwisting isn't a part of my maintenance.
Hey girl cute hair and we all got gray now (without dye) with all going on in the world. My hair is so thick I haven’t tried them real small cause taking is 🤬 I tried flex rod no luck can’t wear them all. Have a blessed day 😊
Gotta take mine out. Going to wear a twist out. Had them in for two weeks. Now they are just so fluffy and fuzzy. I didn’t braid the roots. My scalp need to rest from any pulling.
Braid the start a little bit before twisting. It helps the hair last longer. Also when it’s time to moisturize, squeeze the water & moisturizer in with your hands. Don’t rub up and down your hair or it will get frizzy quicky
Bless you for this tip! I'm going to try it!
It has helped me out, my twist are going 3 weeks now
Good tips! Thank you
Lol I just did my twists yesterday and only saw this video and comment today😩😩😩 I’ll try it next time though
You look so pretty.

I got my mini-twits in now. I did a twist and trim. My ends love me again. LOL!
same! I did this 2 weeks ago, it’s amazing how trimmed ends make your hair look & feel so much better.

Your twists are so pretty! I wish I could wear them but I have fine hair with sparse density so mine are too scalpy and look ridiculous.
Sounds exactly like me and my hair! Ugh
I have really fine hair at the center of my head so I try to do a lot of twists in that area to avoid looking scalpy.
Me too..
