I mix a few drops of peppermint oil in a small spray bottle with water. Stimulates, smells nice and relaxing. I just do this whenever I feel like it and go about my day.
Thank you so much for the information!! Now I know exactly why my hair was so frizzy. I love twists and I was worried that I was doing everything wrong, but now I know how to keep my twists moisturized and beautiful. This video means more than you know, and thank you so much again 😊❤
Excellent video. I've been getting mine taken out every other week and not getting much length. This teaches me to keep them without stressing my hair.
If only I had known beforehand that spraying water directly on your hair makes it more frizzy. So now my 2 week old twists looks more like 3... 🥴 however, thank you for the information. And I love your background music 💜
Hello beautiful, I have a question. I wear mini twist long term as "My Look". I been having an issue that's really making me bug. My night routine, daily moisture routine and retwist routine is on point my only dilemma is washing my minitwist. My goal is to Hot Oil Treat, poo, DC all my twist then finger detangle and retwist them one by one every two weeks but After I HOT, poo, DC my twist I go to take one down and my new growth is somewhat matted and difficult to finger detangle. What could I be doing wrong? Should I apply a leave in to my roots before I unravel? Should I use sulfur 8 on my roots before I unravel? What could I do to make my roots softer and easier to unravel after my HOT, poo, DC?
Thank you this video was so helpful as twists are my favourite style and I have been wanting to be able to keep them in for longer without them getting frizzy.
I love this video. Thank you for sharing your tips. I was wondering what are the white bands around your hair? Where can I purchase them from? Please keep sharing. I am on my natural hair journey
Awesome! I ran into you in IG. My hair is very similar, and I am having the hardest time with it. It's so thick, it tangles easily, and dries out fast. I have just resorted to wigs, because it's so much hair.
Your hair is so beautiful and I like your videos.. I wonder whether the oil mix you use whether it does not clog up the pores on your scalp, depending on how often you do this? would it not hinder your hair growth and natural hair journey...
Thank you so much for the support. And personally for me, my scalp is so dry that within a couple of days the oil is gone off my scalp, I just started using this oil combination on my scalp and I haven't had a problem. Usually I would use just olive oil, I have been putting olive oil on my scalp since I became natural. So for almost 4 years I have been oiling my scalp and I haven't seen any adverse effects. I would put oil on my scalp and by day 3 its gone, my scalp is completely dry. I just have severe dry scalp and the only way for me to combat the dryness as well as the itchiness is by oiling my scalp, doing ACV rinses and washing my scalp frequently. And I feel as though my hair growth hasn't been hindered at all. I have had amazing growth. BUT that is not to say that this routine will work for everyone, I am only here for inspiration so try things with your own knowledge with it as well. What works for me may not work for others.
Great advice dear. I totally get what you are saying and If you wash your scalp frequently then that's helpful, for there is no build up. Thank you again for all these helpful tips plus I like that you use gospel songs for the videos. Bless
So this video is old, I no longer oil my scalp during the week, I noticed it caused me to have more scalp issues, I may do it once in a while but not like before. I like to oil my scalp when I prepoo and let it sit over night to get the benefits of the oils I use.
I show how I moisturize in seal in this video, I use a leave in or water, a moisturizer then I seal with my shea butter mix and yes I will moisturize and seal then I will re twist my hair if needed. but I don't do it every night just every week or so.
if my hair is dry I will remoisturize by just spraying the twists...every other day... but I no longer add oil to my scalp thoroughout the week... but I do retwist them every 9 days or so...no more than 4 weeks.
I have mini twist but i take them out after a week , do my wash day then, put them back in . Is that ganna affect the growth? Should i just leave them in for more than a week....I always get an urge to wash my hair after a week.
no if that works for you then do not stop. I think that is a good idea. that is what i used to do too. but since i make hair videos all the time. i can not have such a set style. but trust me, if i was not doing youtube videos. i would do the routine you are doing.
your hair is very nice... I notice that when I oil my scalp my scalp became very itching, but strange is that it grows very well. every two week i notice growth when it's wash day.. but the Itchie is frustrating me, do you have any advice.... ( don't mind my language I speak Dutch.)
thank you, for me oil soothes my scalps itchiness because I have extreme dry scalp. But you may have to see if you are allergic to the oils you are putting on your scalp and to see if you are clogging your pores with too much oil depending on how frequently you oil your scalp. You may not even need to oil your scalp, I know ladies who don't oil their scalp unless they are doing a hot oil treatment and they are going to wash the oil right out of their scalp. It really depends.
Latoya Jamin Hello! How did not oiling your scalp work for your itchiness?? I ask because I have that same problem!! I have found that the Cantu ACV Rinse works Wonders for my itchy scalp and it's less than $5.00!!
+Michelle Fonville well for a a week to 2 weeks it was fine. Then I washed my hair and it was itchy again after 3 days. I starting back to oil my scalp again right after I wash my hair. My scalp is just so dry and needs help to coat my scalp. I only use a simple oil mix for my scalp, avocado oil, jojoba oil and Jamaican black castor oil.. and I always use acv rinse to cleanse my scalp, it works amazingly
Hi , I’ve trimmed my ends on my twists but is it normal for them to start frizzing up again? And also , I have frizz on the shaft of my twists , is this normal and what can I do to reduce this ?
if you hair is naturally frizzy then you may get some frizz. and you need to trim those ends too and also work on growing them out. moisturizing, deep conditioning, etc.
every 2 weeks or so. I try not to use so much oil because there is a lot of build up. but in between I will spray my hair with water every day or so to keep the moisture. after about a week and half, I have to start add some water everyday.
I love this, your videos, and your hair!😍 Im thinking of using these as a protective style, however, I go to the gym everyday. Would it be best to just take them down and wash weekly? Im afraid the sweat would probably accumulate and hinder growth if I leave them longer 🤔........But Id like to try to stretch it, if possible
My bf is half black and half white and I usually do his hair for him... But I haven't had a whole lot of practice with his type of hair. He doesn't ever use oil... But his hair in the front is always super frizzy because he used to pick the front more than anything. Idk y. Theres also a lot of heat damage in the front...But does anyone have any suggestions on how to get his hair to be not so frizzy? I'm about to put twists in his hair, and I'm trying to find the best way to do it for him and maintain it. His hair is literally right in between white and black. It never stays straight or curly. :-/ I just want my boo to stop looking so dusty and start looking crispy lol... (So does he) He was adopted by white people, so he has no idea how to take care of his type of hair either.
He NEEDS oil. That is the one thing white people do not use on their hair. Because he is biracial his hair would benefit from a light oil. Try a leave in conditioner with a curling cream to lock in moisture and oil the scalp. Look up the LOC/ LCO method in some RUclips vids. The Tahlia Waheed line of products is phenomenal in my opinion. I worked with a young lady who was black but was adopted by a white family. She washed her hair every day and it was a hot mess. Hair washing every day for black people is a no no.
Your bone structure is actually perfect! X
awe thank you so much!
Why “actually”
Stacey Will Why are you triggered over a simple word?
Your bone structure looking perfect too. 👀
Your hair looks so healthy. They look great.
thank you!
Frizzy and bushy isn't messy to me. It's not a negative.
Me too. I actually love when my twists get like that 😊
I was thinking the exact same thing!
I like frizzy twist too
Facts it’s actually good so I just leave it alone lol and protective it under a wig simple
My frizz causes breakage and tangles 😭😭.Maybe the is something I'm so wrong
These regular Twist to me not mini. They look great tho. They look great on you sis.
I mix a few drops of peppermint oil in a small spray bottle with water. Stimulates, smells nice and relaxing. I just do this whenever I feel like it and go about my day.
Sounds great!
Thank you so much for the information!! Now I know exactly why my hair was so frizzy. I love twists and I was worried that I was doing everything wrong, but now I know how to keep my twists moisturized and beautiful. This video means more than you know, and thank you so much again 😊❤
Your natural hair is beautiful. These mini twists are one of my favourite styles on thick hair. Great video 👌☺️
Excellent video. I've been getting mine taken out every other week and not getting much length. This teaches me to keep them without stressing my hair.
Glad it helped, thank you !
I love your hair, it's so thick
thanks so much !
If only I had known beforehand that spraying water directly on your hair makes it more frizzy. So now my 2 week old twists looks more like 3... 🥴 however, thank you for the information. And I love your background music 💜
we all have to learn somewhere. I am glad I can help.
Can I borrow your hair right quick 🤔😥😍
+Ciera T sure go head
Very detailed and informative...thank you!
Awesome video. I love the idea of retwisting the perimeter
thank you so much, doing the perimeter extends the live of those twists, it works every time!
Hello beautiful, I have a question. I wear mini twist long term as "My Look". I been having an issue that's really making me bug. You are a lovely young lady with beautiful hair. Your twists look like extensions bought in the store! Thanks for the tutorial.
You are so welcome thank you
Nice. I like the way you banded the sections to keep the twists stretched. I'm going to use that method on my twists when I moisturize them.
Her hair is Soo pretty!!
Twist looks amazing!
THank you Tisha !
I love this video. Thank you for sharing your tips. I was wondering what are the white bands around your hair? Where can I purchase them from? Please keep sharing. I am on my natural hair journey
thank you. they are bands I made from old stretchy fabric to stretch my hair out.
Okay thank you
My hair is on the finer side ☹️ so it doesn't look this full and juicy hopefully I can get it thicker over.
Your hair is very pretty. Great tips. Thank you.
Your twist look very hydrated ❤️🙌🏾
Awesome! I ran into you in IG. My hair is very similar, and I am having the hardest time with it. It's so thick, it tangles easily, and dries out fast. I have just resorted to wigs, because it's so much hair.

How many times do you moisture your twists??
not too sure but after about a week or two my hair feels drier so i just spray my hair with water every other day.

@@BubsBee OK thanks
It's the triple protection for me.
hahahahah!!
I don't remember which video I watched of yours, but did you say that advocado oil had protein? I researched it and it does not have protein in it.
well avocados is a protein to my knowledge, and the protein in there can penetrate into our strands
marian B The vegetable avocado? It has protein.
How often should I do it
every retwist
what are those tiers?
the hair ties are a diy, I have some old spandex pants and shorts and I cut them into strips, knotted the ends and that's what I use to band my hair
Hello love I’m new sub love your video can u please make a video on how u mix your shear butter thanks
Yes I have a video on it. type in bubs bee shea butter mix in the search box
I love when my twist get a lil frizzy it gives it a dread effect without having to actually have dreads
