I really appreciate the song you picked in the back of this because I don't listen to anything but gospel and it's so hard to watch hair tutorials because the music. I can deal with instrumentals but the rap no. I love how thick your hair is and it came out great
I didn't know but thank you because lord knows I love natural hair tutorials but I've been contemplating giving them up because I had a love for that Worldly music so I completely cut it off. Thanks for the Godly background music
semmi98 Is hard I know I used to love old school r and b and new school r and b. My mom had me growing up listening to escape so it was really hard. But I pray about it and ask the lord to help me find music that moves me the same way but it praises him at the same time. Now I don't listen at all. I also stop following artist that I love on instagram because I'll be trying to by the new album when it drops lol I pray this helps you on your journey. I barely saw these replies
😍 I love your twists. Your hair is thick and gorgeous and healthy. I twisted mine Saturday and forgot to grab the scissors until I was far enough in that shrinkage set in.
take off a little at a time, that should help. But my hair isn't even all over because I trim my own hair, but I don't care about my hair being even just because I wear my hair curly all the time, and you cant really tell when I have my fro out. But if you are comfortable then go to a professional who you trust and is fluent in natural hair
I don't trust anyone with my natural hair yet. I have a little patch on the right side that I broke off from detangling but I'm not ready to even it out. The twists help keep it moisturized though! I wish I could maintain 4 weeks like you!
thank you so much, I trim when needed. mostly every time I twist my hair though, but it is more of a dusting than a trim. I cut off the smallest amount just to keep those single strand knots away
Hey I have a twist out playlist and that should help with all your twist needs. But it probably because you are not twisting tightly or you are not coiling your ends... In that playlist I have a how to video on how to do a twist out using products from mielle organics, definitely give that video a look
Heyy there! New subbie here! Love your videos! Super love your hair; it's crazy thick! But yuh do an awesome job with it. I have a question. You said in this video that you let your hair air dry before doing all of your styles; can yuh explain to me what you do to let it air dry? Do you wash, condition, detangle, separate into sections at night and then do the style in the morning? How long do you give your hair to dry? Ive been thinking about trying some twist/braid outs on dry hair and I was just going blow dry it but you air drying your hair had me interested.
thanks so much for the support. I will wash then detangle while I deep condition. Then I will have 4- 8 twists in my head, then I will apply a cotton tshirt over top and air dry like that. since it is summer it takes about 1-2 hours, in the winter time it takes 3 -4 hours. then I will style my hair that same day. If I am lazy and do not want to style my hair the same day I will just add braids or keep the twists in and tie my hair up with a scarf. But I do try to add something like shea butter to seal in the moisture if I do not want to style my hair the day I wash it. Because If I don't my hair will be super dry and knotted and the next day when I do style it, it makes the process harder, and I would have to detangle my hair all over again. You may want to use a light leave in or something that will moisturize you hair once you are done deep conditioning just to keep the moisture in. I have started to do that, just so my hair can be softer before I style it.
This is mad cute 😍😍😍 I attempted this last summer , but my hair came right back down . I didn't use the right products I see, so I'll have to try again next time I get some money to go buy some .
thanks, Its not really the products that matter its the technique. I make sure to use products that moisturize my strands very well. But you have to twist tightly, not too tight that you are hurting you scalp but tight enough to keep it secure. You may even need to braid a inch first then twist, I did that a lot when my hair was a lot shorter. also make sure to coil your ends
Have you done these twist on your hair when it was shorter? I have shoulder length hair and I put twists in my hair and they shrunk the next day badly to where they look like short locs but I make them look better by styling the front
Yes, I did them when my hair was a lot shorter and yes they shrink up a lot still for me. I have a video on my channel showing how I stretch my mini twists too with just banding.
The first one is a durag, you can get that from any beauty supply store, its meant for men, but it works for women as well, the second is a regular silk scarf I got this many years ago, I'm not sure where you could find it and the bonnet I got from walgreens.
So I'm 80% going to do this next wash day-- so cute and low maintenance. You said you air dry, did you do anything to stretch your hair beforehand? What exactly?
Does your hair shrink a lot? When I did my mini twist I had no length and my hair is to my collarbone. Even when I did the banding method I still got no length. What am I doing wrong?
You are not alone. My hair can shrink up to 80 percent. But to help, you can do your mini twists on stretched hair or blown out hair for more length. But keep in mind, when remoisturizing, your hair will shrink again, so you can band them or even stretch them across your head then secure with Bobby pins.
Finger detangling is always the best route to take and I am not sure about that comb, I have never tried it but if it works great for you then I don't see a problem with it
For any style I do, I coil my ends and they tend to not tangle up. But when I do have my fro out, my ends does tangle but that's just normal for type 4 hair
maybe one day I will, but I have so much hair, and that would take toooooooo long. hahaha it already took over 3 hours to do that. but if I ever do, I will record it for ya!
Your hair is so freaking thick! Your twists are perfect!
thanks Shannon!

I hope I can manage to trim it evenly. Thank you!

aww thanks so much!!! your support means so much :)

How do you take your twist down? Do you lose a lot of hair?
no, I have a video on that as well, look on my mini twists playlist -- its titles most defined twist out ever
can u provide a link pf where u got the black detangling brush or tell me where u got it??
the black comb is the quidad double detangler, you can get it from Sephora, or their website even ulta
Bubs Bee ok thank you!
you're welcome
What’s the name of the song ?😍
hi Bubs Bee I have a question can I finger detangle and use my Annie jomb rake bone comb to detangle my natural 4A/4B natural hair
Finger detangling is always the best route to take and I am not sure about that comb, I have never tried it but if it works great for you then I don't see a problem with it
It is a good widetooth Comb you should try it
I was using a wide tooth comb before but yes that works.
Ya u will love this widetooth tooth comb Annie jomb rake bone comb is the best
I will look into it, thanks!
What kind of hair do I buy to have this similar look?
not too sure
😍😍
Your hair is *T H I C C*
How does your hair stay so detangled? The ends of my hair tend to tangle a lot, even after I detangle it.
For any style I do, I coil my ends and they tend to not tangle up. But when I do have my fro out, my ends does tangle but that's just normal for type 4 hair
ok so my hair is like this but its just shorter!!!!and i can never get the parting right
its okay, I don't worry about parting in the back, only the front, that's the area that will be the most noticeable
get it together!!!
pardon?
Bubs Bee the song in your video is singing "get it together"
I would love to see them smaller! Lol
maybe one day I will, but I have so much hair, and that would take toooooooo long. hahaha it already took over 3 hours to do that. but if I ever do, I will record it for ya!
😍😍😍
thank you
nice
thanks
sorry if u said this in the video but how long does this take you
2 to 3 hours if im being super neat.
How long can we keep this hairstyle ?
i only really let them stay for a months time but that's depends on your hair and what it can handle
How long have you been natural?
4 years in oct and transitioned for 7 months
MY SONGGG no grey
You are more beautiful without makeup.
I would like this better without the music. Other then that ..... nice video
Thank you
