Realize that the Keyboard player is the Bassist who has to do the bass parts with pedals under the keyboard. He plays multiple instruments and had a custom triple neck guitar made.JPJ cannot be denied. No one in this band lacked any musical skill. All RockStars forever.

I agree 100%. It was that groove pocket he lived in so well that made me pick up my first bass. I was a little kid tapping my feet and I had no idea what he was talking about. It’s that groove. John Bohnham like a rhythmic constant, almost like time, and as you move to the top, you see and meet those responsible for the layers of groove, until you finally meet Robert. So cool.

Yes, I agree, you should also react to the Celebration Day Kashmir performance. The sound and lights in that performance are outstanding and takes it to another level; if it is possible to take a Led Zeppelin performance to another level, they're all stellar.

I took issue at the word level. It appeared you were implying that version was a superior level. I disagree because John Bonham wasn't there, and no matter how good Jason is he can never equal his father.

Studio version first. Jimmy Page put so much into the production. They are amazing live, but the studio versions are otherworldly.
Led Zeppelin 1: Good times bad times, dazed and confused
Led Zeppelin 2: Ramble on, Bring it on Home.
Led Zeppelin 3:Immigrant Song, Out on the Tiles
Led Zeppelin 4: Black Dog, When the Levee Breaks
Houses of the Holy: the Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Over the Hills and Far Away, No Quarter.
Physical Graffiti:in my time of dying, In The Light, Ten Years Gone.
Presence: Achilles Last Stand, Nobody’s Fault But Mine, tea for one.
in Through the Out Door : Fool in the Rain, all of my love.

Yeah, they're all awesome musicians, and John Paul Jones plays keyboards, piano, bass guitar and is a song arranger. He did a lot of the song arrangements for Led Zeppelin's songs. Something you might not have noticed at the end of the song was that the Drummer John Bonham hits his gong at the very end of the song with his fist. You always do lovely reactions. Nice job! ❤😊

Years ago, I read “Hammer of the Gods” a biography of Led Zeppelin. From what I recall, the Wikipedia page on JPJ is a nice summary of his work, including this piece: “Jones has stated that, as a session musician, he was completing two or three sessions a day, working six or seven days a week. However, by 1968 he was feeling burned out by the heavy workload: ‘I was arranging 50 or 60 things a month and it was starting to kill me.’ “ He was 18 when he started session work and 22 when he joined Zeppelin. Imagine being 18 years old and being such in such demand most that by age 22 you’re exhausted! He was also choirmaster for a church at age 14. The guy is a genius! 😁

    • @LeviAWilson
      @LeviAWilson 7 месяцев назад +1

@@Alan_CFA l saw an interview with him and he said that he started playing keyboards and piano before he started playing bass guitar. So, he was asked what made you want to start playing bass, and he said, it was a lot easier carrying a bass to go do studio session work then keyboards. Lol. This band is one of the reasons why I'm a musician, songwriter and vocalist.

Very gracious of you to volunteer to watch the "Celebration Day" Kashmir. It IS Fire, but frankly, it's not TOTALLY Led Zeppelin. Tragically, the drummer died in 1980 (alcohol). John's son, Jason Bonham, played the drums for the "Reunion" concert that day in 2007. And did an EXCELLENT job! But there was no replacing John Bonham, which is why they broke up after his tragic death. I'd rather see other "pure" Zep songs first, but whatever u want, it's your channel, lol! "Since I've Been loving you" will knock your socks off! if you tought you were in love with Robert after this vid, well...he's back to 1973, where you saw him in "Stairway," and hair even more full and golden, the tight pants, the tiny shirt/blouse, lol, and oh yeah, he OWNS the stage, haha! Jimmy puts on the fire as well! Can't wait to see your reaction to it!

Kashmir as the song they wanted to be most remembered for.
Led Zeppelin originally came about when The Yardbyrds dismantled. To fulfill contracts Jimmy Page formed this line up of John Paul Jones. John Bonham and Robert Plant as The New Yardbyrds. Peter Townsend from the band 'The Who" said this line up would be a disaster and go over like a lead balloon. The band rook this slight head on and renamed themselves Led Zeppelin and put the image of the Zeppelin Hindenburg disaster on their first album cover

Here's a fun fact; the guitar that Jimmy Page is playing is a danelctro. It retails for approx $100 and is made out of press board, basically compressed sawdust and glue. Think about that for a minute. If he can get that kind of sound out of such a POS it just goes to show what an absolutely brilliant musician he is!
