I like this. I tried a poluhedron out of the little turtle base and it was miserable to keep it attached to the other pieces while assembling them into balls. I had to break the origami rule and revert to glue as my helper. This one actually looks like it locks together much better. Thanks for sharing this!

took me 4 hours, glue, and a WORLD of patience but I'm DONE! Admittedly a newspaper Electra isn't as elegant but what the hell I dont care. This is my masterpiece
Hi Barbellaatje, I'm confused when you mentioned 5 rings & 3 rings? Meaning 5 modules connect to become 1 ring & another 3 modules connected to become another ring? Thank you :)
You make yours strangely... That's a lot of extra work Also, I SUGGEST glue, especially if making a larger one. I've made this before using 8inch squares and glue is necessary of the weight pulls it apart. Happens with 5x5 too.
i need your help! when i assembled the Electra Icosidodecahedron, i ran into a problem. more tord the end of the vid when you put it together you have kinda of a dome shaped figure and all of your pieces stay together. well, mine isen't a dome and the pieces don't stay together. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!?!?
This is soo cool but I don't want to use 30 pieces of paper when I can do something elese with it. But this is really cool and will take a long time to make :/
This is the kind of stuff nightmares are made of. Took me 3 hours to make 30 modules, and now I've fucked up the final model. I can get only as far as the 20 model 2-D figure before I get confused as hell and mess the rest of the thing up. I hate origami.

This is the next model that I will make. Looks much easier than the twinboat icosahedron.

That’s why you use copy paper it’s not as heavy origami means you don’t have to use glue, tape, ect it’s “cheating”
@@Fallen_Rumel It doesn't require glue, but that doesn't mean you can't use it anyway to reinforce it.
the movie is really good, but at 2:17 and 3:09, the light is sort of blocks the view, but it's still a fantastic movie

nice! even though i use a faster method, it's also probably less accurate, 'cause my electra's always end up lopsided or something. :D
