I like Jerod. Good mix of humor, humility and intensity. Team will play for him.
Players play for their HC in nearly every circumstance, and if they don't that HC is usually gone in a few weeks. There's so much more to being a HC in today's NFL than just being a motivator. That Parcells-ian style doesn't work anymore, which is why he never won a Super Bowl after the early 90s. Especially in the 2020s, HCs either need to be brilliant tacticians or have brilliant tacticians in the coordinator roles. The Pats have neither.

You need a smart players coach, who is a tactician. Bill was a players coach, when you bought in, in case you didn't see the plethora of ex-Pats players coming to his defense after the firing and the Documentary. That best friend motivator style doesn't work in today's NFL unless you got the Xs and Os chops to back it up. This defense always overachieved, relative to its talent, thanks to Bill. I don't care if Mayo is a hardass or a softie, just win games.
So far I would say that Mayo has proven himself off the field. We now need to see if him and his crew can also prove themselves on the field.
Results on the field are the only thing that matter in that line of work

GREAT job coach... I'm as much excited about Milton as I am about Maye... this was a missed diamond! I don't have high expectations for next year, and that's OK. ACTUAL fans realize we are knee deep in rebuild mode. When the criticism gets hot and heavy next year, just remember there will be LOTS of fans that already know what to expect. We have your back and are just looking forward to seeing some player development.
And the 2024 nfl draft is officially over! Now it’s time to focus on 24-25 season schedule release is gonna be in may and training camp is gonna start soon.

@ChuchuJS I personally was fine with a trade-down and collecting more draft capital. They needed talent, and they got talent at the. QB and WR position. I'm less excited about the OT, but I'll give the coaching staff and scouting department the benefit of the doubt.
If the Patriots hit on the QB and one of the WRs, this will be considered a good draft.

I didn't like the 2nd and 3rd round choices, but otherwise a pretty good draft for us. Can't wait for training camp now

Rhamondre is good yeah but it’s been years before that since we had a good RB like Blount
