Excited to see what coach Mayo and the patriots can do. You can tell he’s a genuine down to earth guy that the players love should be a good season/ seasons to come.
Mayo is a football guy. Leading tackler and green sticker guy for years. Anyone questioning his credentials is just being lazy and being a hater. We are seeing an open and honest coach answering questions. I'm looking forward to the Mayo era.
I really liked Mac, but I think 17 new coaches and a new QB is the way forward. I can't wait to see how this all develops!

Hope he will do well, thing that worries me is that he mentions they brought in 17 new coaches with different ways to do things. Too many cooks in the kitchen if the head chef isn’t strong with a vision then the output is going to be messy.
The old Pats dynasties had many great minds some of who are HCs now. It got bad when it became a close group of Belichick, Joe Judge, Matty P and Groh

Winning is a product of successive execution. Yes, you need to have talent but the coaches implementing a plan that the players can confidently execute should equate to wins. We need to learn how to win games again. Confidence as a group. You saw the errors last season right off the bat against Philly/Miami/etc... Too many mistakes, penalties, turnovers, lack of execution, points lost or left on the field, etc....We could have been more competitive if we eliminated some of the mistakes. We don't need 30 million dollar players to win. We need to execute in all 3 phases.
Get that man some 8k cameras, and digital ball deflators 💪

All I've ever head from Mayo are slights and under the radar digs at Bill and the way he ran things... I understand you are the new guy, and need to turn the new leaf for the team, but all of the comments he has made about the teams previous legacy up to this point have made him very unlikeable in my eyes. What has he even done as a coach to illicit so much optimism from Kraft? He had the benefit of working under the greatest defensive mind ever and we know he wasnt calling the shots on how the Pats D did things. Will have to see what happens, wish they got Vrabel instead

Mayo doesn’t strike me as a DEI clown, he might pay a little lip service but that’s just him being savvy with the media. Most of the coaches he hired that he was excited talking about in this interview are white guys. Jerod wants to win and will pick the best people for the job, regardless of woke DEI nonsense.

Ya I gotta be honest idk if this guy is the right person for the job. Why would you be talking about competition between Drake Maye and Jacoby brissett? It’s a matter of when Drake takes the job not if. That is the opposite of supporting your new franchise quarterback he has actually spoken higher of Joe Milton and showed him more respect than Maye in these interviews. Get a real coach in here there are 31 other NFL coaches that would be over the moon to have Drake Maye on their roster.

This is the NFL. By your logic Bill Belichick wouldn’t have left Tom Brady in as a starter when Drew Bledsoe came back since Bledsoe was the franchise QB. Belichick made it a competition and went with the player that “gave the team the best chance to win”. Stop the bias
@@gp7944 I get your point but coach mayo’s lack of respect shown towards Maye in these interviews is irritating. New England hasn’t been a hotspot for free agents when you have a kid with this kind of potential you need to make him feel at home to the point that when it’s time to sign a contract he doesn’t even consider walking to another organization. They need to support this kid 1000% and in my opinion coach mayo is off to a bad start here. Everyone knows the Joe Milton pick was his idea then I see his comments towards Drake in the media and he talks about him as if he’s nothing.
This is the big leagues kid, nothing is handed out, if drake wins the competition (which is what we all hope happens btw) then he’ll start, if not he sits until he can win the job, Again I’ll reiterate this is the big leagues nothing is given, it has to be earned. Im rooting for the kid regardless!

@@gp7944 no big plays in big games, never turned the ball over, never got to the quarterback and NEVER played in and won the super bowl. Defense didnt get good until hightower took over
