    I know this is an old video, but I am 5 days out from surgery and this video describes my thoughts so much. I believe this surgery was absolutely needed. Not just for my physical health, but mostly my Mental health. I'm already feeling so much more positive about life and I'm only 5 days out! This is what I needed to hear. Thank You for making this video. I'm gonna share it for others to find once I'm ready for others to know I've done this. It's not that I care what they think, but I want this for me and not them. I just wanna keep this for me right now. Congratulations on your success 3 years out. Maybe I will run in to you at disney one day and we can celebrate together.

    I was fine after surgery. I walked the same day. Not too much pain. Went home the next day. I had sips of water right after surgery. I went home the next day. I'm 3 weeks out and now on a soft diet. 20 lbs gone so far.

    Thank you for the candid details of your experiences after surgery.
    I have been grappling with the should I, shouldn't I have the surgery.
    I have been doing the keto diet and had success until I stalled and for 8 months nothing and then the pandemic caused too much stress that I went back to my bad habits (weekend junk food) and now struggling to get back on keto track to lose the 45 lbs I gained back.
    But it seems the junk food pandora's box has been open and does not want to close.
    Thank you for your descriptive journey, it is that kind of information that we need to decide if we can go through it.

    Thank you for sharing your journey! I have my final surgeon appointment in about 3 weeks so surgery should be about 6-8 weeks from now. I finally posted my first video AmyinAZVSG yay! I can’t wait to see more of yours & see the progress. I didn’t catch your age in the two videos I’ve seen before.

      @@BariTaleCoaching I'm going to Ecuador ( my country) to get it done, here I don't qualified under the insurance, for them to pay it, I would have to take medications for diabetics, high blood pressure or have sleep apnea. I have sleep apnea but not at the level that they want, and I'm pre diabetic so I don't get any medications.

    I just had the sleeve done on 10/18/2022 it was painful the first few days. However, I'm doing ok on day 4 today.

      Yeah, I’m starving whoever said you don’t feel hunger pains lied!! i’m so hungry and these protein shakes not cutting it. I’m bout ready to test the faith and chew up a small eraser size piece of bread! I’m physically starving and don’t hit phase two of soft foods until next week!! Oatmeal and grits never sounded so luscious to me!!

    • @BariTaleCoaching
      @BariTaleCoaching  2 года назад

      @@Lware8048 hang in there. The bread won’t make you feel full (it’ll likely lead to over eating and may make you sick!). Are you adding in protein powder to anything? That helped. And oddly, so did drinking small glasses of milk.

    • @Lware8048
      @Lware8048 2 года назад

      No, I just have these premier protein shakes that are not doing anything. My water intake is fine I'm getting 66 oz of water, and I'm also drinking unsweetened tea. I just can't stop my stomach hunger pains. It's like my stomach wants something thicker that sticks.

    I'm getting this surgery on the 30th of December, they have me on a different liver shrinking diet, depending on the meal, it's not all liquid though. Also it appears that I'll have the same pain as my hysterectomy since they fill you up with gas there too.

    • @BariTaleCoaching
      @BariTaleCoaching  Год назад

      Oh man, so you already know that pain? At least you'll know what to expect!

  • @Rubysinndel
    @Rubysinndel 2 года назад +1

    I'm highly considering the surgery, so I've already started the baby steps of making an appointment to start talking to my doctor about it. I've been dieting and exercising for years and never lose any more than 30lbs max, it never stays off, it always comes back, its just so defeating. I'm 32 years old but I have the energy level of a 90 year old. Walking 10 feet puts me out of breath, I cannot live like this anymore.

    • @BariTaleCoaching
      @BariTaleCoaching  Год назад

      PREACH girl! This might be a good option for you, too! Do your research and talk to a doctor. I wouldn’t push this surgery on anyone, but if you’re willing and it’s a good fit, I’d recommend it!

    • @BariTaleCoaching

      YES! My top right scar was my biggest (and itchiest). It was the most sore! I think that's totally normal. When is your first check up? They always wanted to see my scars.
