I'm in my early 40's and need this because I've struggled with my weight my entire life and my body is hurting.I could feel mild pain and discomfort from my joints, nerves, back disc and knees taking a toll on my 340 lbs life and I'm 42 years old. I know it's just gonna get worse going into my 50's. I need to get a good portion of this weight off me somehow.
Your video made me cry. I am beginning my journey to gastric bypass and have been watching a lot of videos to prepare myself. But there aren't that many that started from as high a weight as you and me. It is so painful just to stand and walking is an out-of-breath nightmare. When you said how much weight you've lost and seeing the joy in your face, I was so happy for you I started crying. You look amazing and healthy and you're glowing! I'm so inspired seeing you video....6k??? That's so amazing and I love how it was because you took a few wrong turns 😅 thank you for this video!
Currently in the early stages of my own journey & yours is so inspiring! Ironic I found you just 1 day away from you hitting another anniversary! Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your experiences with us!
@@kikib7310 I meet with the surgeon on may 7th! Managed to get all of my pre op tests done about two weeks ago. I’m hella nervous! I’m so happy for you and I’m praying for you
I found your videos a week ago and watched all of them in a few days. I'm starting my journey with my first visit to Inova Fairfax on Thursday to meet my doctor and hoping with everything inside of me that my insurance accepts me. I've learned so much and have taken notes. I can't believe how much you've changed! And how your personality has gotten so exciting and joyous. I want that! Keep it up, you're doing AWESOME!
I teared up watching this!!! Congratulations on your incredible transformation! You look and sound amazing! I had VSG 5.5 months ago and I'm down 70 lbs today. I can't believe how much FUN my life is now. I still have a little way to go but I do things now I wouldn't even have let myself imagine.
@Desiree Payne I never got air bubbles but I did get hiccups. I don't get them any more frequently, now at 22 months post-op, than I did before surgery (I've always gotten hiccups periodically throughout life, but probably not more than the average person). Also, when I do get them now, they're not more painful than normal hiccups. EVERYTHING and I mean everything about surgery that is negative went away in time. At 22 months post-op I have nothing negative to report. I'm 133 lbs (5'7", size 0/2), and I still have significant restriction, but I feel amazing. I've never missed a vitamin, which I think helps.
You’re so inspiring ❤️ I got a bypass two weeks ago and your videos have made me feel so much less alone throughout the process. Keep up the good work with the quality content ☺️
Congratulations, again!! I've been following you from your first video and I'm so happy for you! I'm waiting with bated breath on my official approval and surgery date. ☺️😊😊😊
I'm so happy for you 😭. I have my first weight management appointment in February to start the journey that hopefully gets me approved for surgery. I hope I can do it, I feel so ready.
Congratulations 🎉🍾 So happy for you! I know exactly where your coming from and I am having my surgery soon and I’m excited and terrified all the same time. You make it look like it’s possible. Thanks for sharing your journey with all of us 😊
So incredibly happy for you, Carolin!!!! Congratulations, you've done an amazing job, changing your life for the better. What an exciting year this will be, too.
I know this was a while ago, but CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am almost through the pre-surgery process - just waiting to get a call from schedulers for my RNY!
How do I start? What steps do I need to do? I’ve weighed myself today. And I’m not only the heaviest I ever been but I am also the saddest. I’m ready to get my body, mind, soul & HAPPINESS back. I’m tired of telling myself I’m happy no matter how big I am.
I'm not sure where you're from but I'm in America. How I started mine was I told my primary doctor I'm struggling to lose weight and when I try changing my habits nothing moves or changes. My primary doctor got me a referral for a wellness center and I went to that appointment the doctor asked me if I wanted medicine or weightloss surgery. Since I was diagnosed with non alcoholic fatty liver disease and I have sleep apnea I got approved faster plus my bmi is 42. I hope this helps.
I’m getting ready to start my journey I got 240lbs to loss so I’m scared but ready I already love to eat healthy and go to the gym but the doctor said my body is fighting me so this is the next step
I have my first appointment july 21 to meet my team. Im going for the weight loss surgery as well. Battle with fibromyalgia and arthritis in my knees and been having trouble with my knee caps shifting so im doing pt for that again an might need knee surgery but also battle with depression and anxiety and ptsd and seizures, but i know the weight loss surgery will help me battle my demons an get my health back an my joints wont b so upset with me cuz of my weight.
You’re beautiful! Get yourself a pretty dress and stop wear the frumpy clothes. You deserve it! You are young and strong and deserve to celebrate your beauty.
