Trees Live by Twenty One Pilots was right up there with Car Radio. This song hits on so many levels. I love the live version as you can see the love the fans have for this band. Make sure to recommend more songs from TOP!

The one thing I love about TOP and Tyler’s writing is, as someone who is atheistic, his music is his own personal issues with faith and such but isn’t like overtly about it.
I def agree this song is about him talking to god, but I also love that it can be perceived as just him trying to scream out for help in general.
Even Tyler himself said he wants his music to be open for interpretation since he knows a lot of his fans aren’t religious as well. It really gives me a lot more respect for him and reactors such as yourself.
Happy you enjoyed the song man, a lot of their music has major religious undertones. I’d suggest listening to Drown or Blasphemy by Tyler. He wrote and recorded them during high school.

Yes it's a prayer to God and they play it at the end of every concert (a closing prayer). Per an interview- he was 17 years old when he wrote this. He was upset and desperately ran into the woods and cried out to God and then wrote this.

Seeing trees live no joke best 6 minutes of my life. You’ll never experience the same energy at any other concert. Time stands still and everyone shares the same vibe like souls connecting. I cried my eyes out and still do when I listen now. You have to go see them if you haven’t!

I have seen them live twice and they are amazing at concerts. They feed off the energy of the audience and just put on a great show in general. It is an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend that you go to one of their concerts if you get the chance. Keep up the good work man.

You're spot on with the meaning of the song - I think its him searching for God - the cool thing about the lyrics though are you can relate it to anything- it could be talking about a loved one or really any emotion so the song hits everyone in the crowd differently

Agreed that is a very humbling experience. I'm an athlete and have had a couple serious injuries which stripped alot away from me but it was very humbling at the same time. It taught me all I need is Jesus when it comes down to it. God Bless!
