What a great reaction mate, well done. This is what i look for when i want someone to react to our favourite songs, paying attention to details appreciating good songs and understanding the mentality behind it, and specially not making dull comments about things that don’t matter. Kudos to you.
I truly appreciate this comment thank you! I know how much this band means to people so I want to do my part and really dig deep into the lyrics. Is there a specific song you would like me to react to next? God Bless!
sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would love any help you can give me.
@George Rhys I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you so much for not being afraid to bring God back into our conversations and lives. I always enjoy your reactions and breakdowns. Keep up the great work. And welcome to the clique! 🌻💛😉
This post means a lot thank you very much! Without Christ I am nothing so I want to give Him glory in everything I do. I love the make up of this band and their deep lyrics. The journey so far has been incredible. God Bless!
Notice while singing ""holding onto you"" the hands are all over his face but he's singing looking 'up' to the sky. At another moment while singing that he points upward.
I was going to say the same thing. I have noticed a lot of songs, or videos, that have parts that are easily attributed to a religious undertone, he does look up. Often. I'm so surprised that I didn't pick up on how many songs could be considered religious until recently. I think, because of my own lifelong struggles with faith, I didn't want to hear the songs that way. But it's clear now that music is how they are working through their faith questions. I guess I also thought Christian rock bands were lame when I was a teenager. I don't know.
@@asdband888 yeah although he would never call them a christian band. He keeps the religion subtle sometimes. And also he struggles with it. Songs where he feels afraid and guilty of his religious doubts/questions. In Ode to Sleep 2nd verse he sings religious lines and mid verse metaphorically SUBTLY IMPLIES that he's denied Christ 3 times and then ends the verse with ""I'm afraid to tell you who I adore. Won't tell you who I'm singing towards. Metaphorically, I'm a whore, and that's denial number four"".
@@testimusicali6445 That was one of the songs I don't think I understood the 2nd rap well enough to hear that part until I started listening to the RUclips reactors breakdowns. It's been a TOP education, listening to the breakdowns. Very cool. Very fun.
@@asdband888 yeah the breakdowns are so much fun, especially with top cause Tyler is so complex and poetic. And i really appreciate that he focuses on his religious faith and on mental health. No fluff. I love these reactions.
This song is talking about holding onto God, the people with painted skulls are negative thoughts, spirits and temptations. when he is in the middle with them clawing his faith he says "holding onto youu" he looks up and he is looking up at God saying he'll hold onto him when he is facing problems. and when he gets to the chores saying "entertain my faith" the dancer is a temptation. so when he says "entertain my faith" he looks up and looking at God asking him for help from these spirits and negative thoughts.

Twenty One Pilots is second to none!! These guys are true artists in a time when most artists now a days are afraid to go any deeper then surface level. TOP always make you think with Tyler’s lyrics and they refuse to just stay in one genre of music. These guys are the perfect example of what true creativity is cause they make the music they want to and feel passionate about and it’s so refreshing

Awesome reaction! I'm a huge fan of the band since 2015, I'm a christian too and they helped me to pass through hard moments a lot. Keep doind these nice reactions, cheers from Brazil!
I think the "window sill looks really nice, right"-part is him thinking about taking his life in the night, but eventually he asks help from God to survive. I think the falling dancers represent his bad thoughts, of which he is finally able to get rid of. (the part where he cuts the rope). The surprising part of the song, Lean with it, rock with it is loaned from Dem Franchize Boyz (Lean wit it rock wit it, 2006). Tyler has listened to all kinds of music. 😁
I love finding people with the same thoughts on music as me. Music was made to be an art, and that’s how it should stay. There should be thoughtless music cos it is entertaining and sometimes good but it shouldn’t just ALL be thoughtless.

Recently I have started looking further into their lyrics and found the religious imagery. I already understood the struggling with depression point of view and I see how religion helped him find hope and may have kept him from attempting to take his own life which is heavily mentioned in taxi cab.
