I am an ACV fan! I take a tablespoon every day before my evening meal. Largely to aid digestion. Been doing it for about 8 years. I am not diabetic. My father was diagnosed when I was 10 and I immediately gave up sugar. I eat a lot of fibre, especially beans. I believe in prevention whenever possible!

Super. Make sure you put the tablespoon of ACV in a glass of water-this is a trick to prevent tooth enamel erosion

Using kraut and apple cider vinegar and red wine and white wine and rice vinegars. It helps me and also reduces acid indigestion. Best to test yourself and how you react. We are all different.

It's would depend on how sensitive you are and the PH of the water. Vinegar, to certain extent, will dilute and neutralize in water. You are better off making a couple ounces of Olive Oil or Melted Butter with a couple ounce of of Vinegar. Since the Oil is an Acid you don't lose the potency of the Vinegar and it also helps you absorb more of the Oil in the stomach. It will make you Blood Sugar drop 20 to 30 ml/dl. Depending on your Glycogen stores it might go back up. Pure Ethanol will also drop your Blood Glucose but it is dangerous and not enjoyable as the Blood Glucose is what makes Alcohol euphoric.

I found the use of vinegar very useful for whenever we don't have an option of a low GI food. Whether you are eating in out, your parents house or holiday meals. Being the one that avoids the aunt's mashed potatoes is too tiring sometimes. Add a glug of vinegar and have patience! Of course in an perfect world everyone should improve their diet. But part of improving your health sometimes is to just let it go and not wait to other people to do the same...

Shalom, many types and grades of vinegars. I found malt vinegar decreases sodium which in america we eat too much of, and not enough of potassium which messes up the K+ and Na pump ratio. ACV with mother, or malt vinegars at bedtime helps with sleep and lower am BG reading.

Hi, I'm a 35 yr old woman. I have insulin resistance in the firm of hypoglycemia from hoshimotoes. I was diagnosed a few years back, but according to my research over the past year, I've shown signs as early as age 6. I learned different fermented foods and drinks including raw vinegar and komboocha could help with my condition. I also have found a lot of foids I need to wean myself off of and have been doing so. I spent the past 11-12 months eating all kinds of fermented foods and drinking fermented drinks. I started off doing 2-3 times the reccomended doesage daily to fix my issue. I lessened it to a much smaller amount once things showed some signs of stabalizing. I have other health probs too like bone density issues and hereditary anemia. The anemia according to my research and with my race being a factor ( it's not sickle cell because I'm not of African decent) probably is caused by a genetic predisposition to not process certain vitamins and minerals needed for the production of red blood cells properly. I learned as a child to control my anemia with diet unless I have a bad flare up requiring supplements ( when I was pregnant I had to be on iron on top of prenatals) . I'm not anti modern meds, but have a hereditary high tolerance to medication. I've become immune to certain meds growing up from overuse, allergy meds being a major one. I tend to go with natural remedies and lifestyle changes first as a result. My lifestly changes over the past year caused my body to go from failing me, to me doing a 180. I've lost over 20 pounds in that time too. One of the things I've done is lower my xarb intake and nearly eliminate sweets from my diet and find healthier alternatives to hit those cravings as much as I can. With covid, I've worked on producing as much of my own food as I can. In fact, yesturdays meal was a mix of left-over black eyed peas cooked in beef broth with water bath canned left-over pork tenderloin from Christmas and foraged wild greens cooked with home made bacon and olive oil with a side of a slice of home made whole wheat sourdough bread kept plain. The bread I used komboocha fir the yeast. I downed it with half a 12 oz bottle of komboocha and water laced with cranberry ginger juice, a Dew drops of raw apple vinegar and sime stevia. I've been drinking home made flavired water laced with raw vinegar and stevia multiple times a day. I'm still heavier than I should be, but at 5 foot 2 in just over 231 pounds is better than being well over 250. I know I shouldn't be over 130 pounds, but I'm working on it. Baby steps. But I agree that the komboocha and vinegar, ect are not enough. The fact is I've been sliwly reworking my entire diet along side that. I'm also intending to start adding moderate exercise (weather permitting) to my regimine as well. I'm thinking 30 min to 1 hr of exercise a few times a week isn't a bad start. There's a local hike and bike trail that is 2.5 miles long and takes about an hour for me to do one lap if I make almost no stops. As pretty as it is though, I'm going to take my time. I have to do these changes slowly so I can stick with it. Some people can make a bunch of rapid changes and have the ability to not cave. I'm not one of those people. Plus, doing it slowly let's me have more wiggle room to make changes when needed and figure out what works and doesn't for me

@@arnoldpierre4600 thnx. I'm no Dr or Medi-Cal professional even though I trained as a pharmacy tech for a bit. Still, I like to learn things and experiment and solve probs. Hoshimotoes has given me a excellent never ending opportunity to do all of that. And woth covid, it is a good way to keep my mind intact while self isolating as much as humanly possible. Plus, I learned as a child to rely on nobody but myself after being the product of 2 narcissistic parents and growing up as a cps kid in lockdown facilities. Life has never been kind to me but I've learned, grown, and adapted as a result. I appreciate the support, and I'm liking ur channel as a unique source of info to use for my research. Ur channel is one of several with variying perspectives and approaches I reference. Some, actually most are by drs too. One is by a non Dr but a athelete who used to have health and blood sugar probs including excess weight and like me did research and a lot of work and is trying to help others do the same. Some of the channels I watch say extreme keto is the answer, but I'm not sure I could go that route. Others say some carbs are OK, but only certain ones in moderation. Humans aren't one size fits all, our approach to health and medicine shouldn't be either. Our evolution to have multiple races, skin tones, languages, eye colors, ect show how highly adaptable and versitile we as a species are. Something that able to bend and bow doesn't work well with a one size fits all approach. Taking that stance in my opinion is a recipe for disaster and devistation. We all have brains and are more than cabable of using them with or without a degree, it's a matter of being willing to. I'm willing to use mine so I do

at 4:30 I agree with the doc. To those who think vinegar is a way to control blood sugar, let me point out, Alcohol lowers blood sugar, a lot. Yet studies show it has no effect on HgA1c. Does vinegar have any effect on your HgA1c? Where are the double blind studies? What are the outcomes, because, with any treatment, it doesn't matter what the effect on the numbers is. The only thing that matters are the outcomes.
