They finished the world tour, she moved to Finland (started learning Finnish), met her Swedish husband (drummer for Sabaton), made another album, moved to Sweden (started learning Swedish), got married, had a child, did several cameo performances with other bands on albums & videos, toured the new album, did a rock album with a friend as the band Northward, did a collaboration project with Ayreon, toured this decades tour, and appeared on a Dutch Television show for weeks where she sang in 4 diff languages & several diff genres of music - blowing everyone away. 😀 And all the other things I know I missed like some solo touring in Holland, etc. She is a force of nature!

Troy was playing the Irish Uilleann Pipes they have a bellows driven air flow under the right elbow that he pumps while playing and the air carries into the holding bag under the left arm .
When I need to motivate myself to do housework, such as washing dishes, this song NEVER fails to pump me up. I freaking wash those dishes like a beast. Hey, whatever works.
The Uilleann (ill-en or ill-yen) pipes that troy is playing are the Irish version of bagpipes that uses a bellows to inflate the bag instead of blowing into it. The bellow is squeezed with the elbow. Uilleann is the Gaelic word for elbow. I love Emppu laughing at Floor dancing all over the stage in this version. And, yes, Marko has an awesome voice as well. He sings lead on some songs as well. (The Islander, While My Lips Are Still Red, their cover/tribute of Pink Floyd's High Hopes) Also on drums here is Kai Hahto. He took over when Jukka stepped away in 2014 due to health issues caused by severe insomnia.

Concur, Troy plays anything he get his hands on, sings as well, those Irish elbow pipes are well hard to play. think he said you have to be a little insane to play them.
The guy playing the Uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes) is Troy…he is the sixth member of the band. He became a full time member at the same time Floor did, but they hadn’t incorporated him into many of their songs at the time of the Wacken 2013 show. As you watch songs from ire recent shows you’ll see/ a lot more of him. He is a multi-instrumentalist…if it’s an instrument he plays it. In a recent interview, he was asked if there was anything he couldn’t play as well as he’d like and his answer was, “ice hockey.” He also sings, as you may have noticed him doing three part harmonies with Floor and Marko. Speaking of Marko, since you like his voice, check out While Your Lips Are Still Red live at Wembley, or The Islander live at Tampere…you’ll be surprised.
This was actually 2018 but the DVD was released in 2019. The BA concert is fantastic. Great performances, great audience and a superb setlist. Dead Boys Poem, Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, Gethsemane, Elan, Elvenjig/Elvenpath... Floor at 6' obviously looks tall with her 4" heels! Costume custom made for her size by Royal Black Couture in Austria, one off - they promised not to make another. This was 13th in the set. They started with Swanheart - more Troy! Troy, playing Uilleann pipes is a core band member and plays a huge part playing these Irish pipes, Irish Low whistle, tin whistles guitar, bazouki and singing too. Elvenjig/Elvenpath from this concert for more. My Walden from Tampere also.
This one gives you a little taste of their Celtic rock vibes. This is a great show as well. It was not the opener, but the Argentinian fans are the best. You totally understand Emppu's attitude for the song over his ego. Loved it Skullz. Well done. See you again very soon. Peace.
This concert is a pure joy to watch and listen. Quite a bit different than Wacken, in this one they do a few oldies that cover a wider spectrum of Nightwish music. Most notable tracks: "Dead boy's poem", "Devil and the deep dark ocean", "Slaying the dreamer" and many more. Hope you do more from this one, also it's in my country. Cheers from Argentina!!!

This performance always lifts my spirits. So glad that it also made you smile. To me, Emppu gets his time to shine at GETHSEMANE from the same venue because he does nearly impossible runs on an electric guitar.
Fortunately, you chose the Buenos Aires version, which is definitely the most fun to watch. Though some will alert you to the wonderful back & forth stage pranking between Emppu and Floor during the Wacken version. This one is so energizing, even with Floor still recovering there from a bad flu she got earlier on that tour.

Nightwish Army Chicago Brigade reporting in! Fun note, is was reported (I forget where) Floor had the flu at this concert. If true, wow! Emmpu is an amazing guitarist, and he always does his solos artfully. He fits his solo to the song, not Tuomas fitting the song to his solo. The man can shred, but is so great a musician, he doesn't all the time.
Floor was recovering from the flu she got earlier on this South American Tour. She still had some slight troubles with her chest voice, so she relied more on her head voice this concert. She seems to get this always in South America. In 2012 on their first tour it was the same.
Floor has said (if anyone knows where, please quote) that she looks up ideas and inspirations for her costumes and then finds the people who made them or can create them (this outfit wasn't created for her, it's a creation from Royal Black Couture) but they later worked together for the outfits for the new album / world tour.

Greetings. Ummm, ok... Floor uses an Italian designer for her outfits, if I'm not mistaken. I do remember she mentioned her name in either one of her "Fan Friday" videos or one of her Livestreams which you can easily access in her TY channel, "Floor Jansen". I'm surprised you didn't comment on Troy's vocal harmonies when Marko was singing on the 2nd and 3rd pre-choruses. lol Troy uses the Uilleann Pipes in other songs too, including "The Greatest Show On Earth". It's just a beautiful sound. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and yes, Floor has gotten quite comfortable in her role with the band. She is currently in the process of recording a solo album and performing solo shows along with continuing the tour with Nightwish. Are you up for one more from this concert? New angle looks good, but do whatever you’re comfortable with. Being surprised with something new as you make your way on the Nightwish journey is one of the great things about it, and there will be a few more surprises to come. Actually, this was the 11th of a 17-song set. Marko is indeed awesome. Sadly he stepped away from the band about a year ago. Troy (playing the Uillean pipes) is filling in on some of his vocals on tour, and they have a new bassist for the tour. You might want to check out Kiss While Your Lips are Still Red, for an example where he sings lead. Enjoy your journey!

Good lord, no she's not lol She's 6ft, and those boots are about a 2 1/2 - 3" inch heel. There's your math. Still incredibly impressive, much like her lung capacity, so there's no need to exaggerate. Her Tampere heels are the highest I've seen her in and they look to be about 4+". THOSE are insanely high and ain't no way she's bouncing around in those.

I would also recommend The Islander from the Tampere show for Marco's voice. Also Ave Maria with Floor and Marco is heavenly. More recently Floor had a solo show and she uploaded Face your demons. I am truly amazed by this woman and I know she can sing anything but she still surprised me with the way she sang that song. Also I looove your reaction videos!

From Wacken 2013 - over the Endless Forms most Beautiful tour - and to this Decades Tour - Floor evolved. Tuomas managed to challenge her in her lower register, and she also got free "hands" to interpret the old songs they brought up, to her more metal style and incredible voice and power. In this Buenos Aires 2018 concert you will experience some incredible performances from her (even though she wasn't completely on top due to a flue she was recovering from. In "Devil and the deep dark Ocean" - she shows incredible lounge capacity among other spectacular things. In "Dead Boy's Poem" - she spellbinds the audience completely And - in "Carpenter" - you hear Troy doing lead singing, until Floor takes over. Troy is a brilliant singer also. Nowadays Floor and Troy has divided Marko's singing parts between them. I my opinion, was the Decades Tour (this Buenos Aires 2018 concert) a better tour than the Imaginarium (Wacken 2013) - Floor, Marko and Troy were completely in sync, doing incredible singing - and Emppu is shining more here than in the old days - especially his cooperation with Floor are phenomenal - they simply loves each other. But they all do - and that chemistry on stage, affects the audience. In this song, Floor actually chases Emppu to get him to dance along, and he hides behind Troy on his stand (it can be seen on some fan videos out there, both from this concert, but also from some European concerts) Don't worry - Floor hasn't peaked yet - she is constantly improving and are completely insanely phenomenal nowadays.. On the "new angle".... I rather like this new angle. The right side of the screen (for viewers) is more like a blank canvas in which to put the concert/performer insert. The guitar on the wall over your shoulder is very nicely placed, and enhances your musical background without becoming cluttered with your whole inventory. The dark disc of the mic plus the darker headphones is also a nice contrast against the white walls. My artist eye approves.
Buenos Aires gig is pure gold! So many awesome songs there… 10th man down, Kinslayer and I think Ghost Love Score is even better from this gig. The ending is soooo good and a bit different from the Wacken one. Evolved one might say.
This is the best performance of this song...so much fun! Before Floor joined the band, Marko had a larger vocal role, esp w Anette (just based on what I've seen and heard...someone correct me if I'm wrong) bc her live voice was quite 'thin'. Troy and his pipes were at Wacken...but you get more footage of him about 2015. He also added a 3rd harmony to the pre-chorus.
FYI another time when the band fools everyone just like Ghost this was the 13th song of the set. Amazingly they did 21 songs ... the last two ... Greatest Show On Earth at 17 minutes and then right into Ghost Love Score at 10 minutes. The show was two hours long. For future reference you should kick back with your favorite beverage and watch the whole thing. I would wait until after you've reacted to the majority of the songs ... but man watching the whole concert is just stunning. The sixth member of Nightwish, Troy Donockley from the UK, doesn't appear in every song and he plays all sorts of whistles, pipes, guitars, bouzouki etc etc.whatever is required by Tuomas. These uilleann (elbow) pipes are incredibly difficult to play as level of coordination necessary to pump bellows under right elbow, compress bag with left elbow and finger the pipes and he's singing in this one !!

This concert is a pure joy to watch and listen. Quite a bit different than Wacken, in this one they do a few oldies that cover a wider spectrum of Nightwish music. Most notable tracks: "Dead boy's poem", "Devil and the deep dark ocean", "Slaying the dreamer" and many more. Hope you do more from this one, also it's in my country. Cheers from Argentina!!!

Fortunately, you chose the Buenos Aires version, which is definitely the most fun to watch. Though some will alert you to the wonderful back & forth stage pranking between Emppu and Floor during the Wacken version. This one is so energizing, even with Floor still recovering there from a bad flu she got earlier on that tour.

Troy Donockley "The Bard" (is an English composer and multi-instrumentalist most known for his playing of Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, pump organ, bouzouki, cittern, bodhrán, mandola, harmonium, aerophone).
Donockley was born in Workington, Cumberland; his parents were members of a band called Travelling Country. At the age of 16, Troy joined them, playing at many venues in West Cumbria. His father's record collection was broad and gave his son a love of classical, rock, country as well as traditional music. He is a multi-instrumentalist and a master of the Uilleann pipes. His ambition as a teenager was to travel the world as a musician, but he hated "empty pop created by cynical twerps". The strangeness of the sound of the Uilleann pipes enabled him to become a session musician with prog-rockers The Enid in 1987 on their album 'The Seed and the Sower'.
Donockley's first appearance with Nightwish was on their 2007 release, Dark Passion Play, as a guest musician, providing some whistles and pipes to the songs "The Islander", "Last of the Wilds", and "Meadows of Heaven". He also joined them on select shows of the subsequent tour and appeared in the music video for "The Islander". In 2011, Donockley appeared as a guest on Imaginaerum, providing whistles, pipes, and vocals. He joined Nightwish again on the Imaginaerum World Tour, and also appeared on the band's concert DVD 'Showtime, Storytime'. He also appears in the Imaginaerum film from 2012 as a stage illusionist.
Following the conclusion of the Imaginaerum World Tour, Donockley was made a full-time member of Nightwish in October 2013.
He provides the main vocals for Nightwish's single ‘Harvest’, released in 2020. This was unusual for the band, as main vocals were usually provided by Floor Jansen.

Nightwish Army Chicago Brigade reporting in! Fun note, is was reported (I forget where) Floor had the flu at this concert. If true, wow! Emmpu is an amazing guitarist, and he always does his solos artfully. He fits his solo to the song, not Tuomas fitting the song to his solo. The man can shred, but is so great a musician, he doesn't all the time.
Floor was recovering from the flu she got earlier on this South American Tour. She still had some slight troubles with her chest voice, so she relied more on her head voice this concert. She seems to get this always in South America. In 2012 on their first tour it was the same.
Floor has said (if anyone knows where, please quote) that she looks up ideas and inspirations for her costumes and then finds the people who made them or can create them (this outfit wasn't created for her, it's a creation from Royal Black Couture) but they later worked together for the outfits for the new album / world tour.

I'm surprised you didn't comment on Troy's vocal harmonies when Marko was singing on the 2nd and 3rd pre-choruses. lol
Troy uses the Uilleann Pipes in other songs too, including "The Greatest Show On Earth". It's just a beautiful sound.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and yes, Floor has gotten quite comfortable in her role with the band.
She is currently in the process of recording a solo album and performing solo shows along with continuing the tour with Nightwish.

New angle looks good, but do whatever you’re comfortable with. Being surprised with something new as you make your way on the Nightwish journey is one of the great things about it, and there will be a few more surprises to come. Actually, this was the 11th of a 17-song set. Marko is indeed awesome. Sadly he stepped away from the band about a year ago. Troy (playing the Uillean pipes) is filling in on some of his vocals on tour, and they have a new bassist for the tour. You might want to check out Kiss While Your Lips are Still Red, for an example where he sings lead. Enjoy your journey!
remember that Floor is about 6-5 or 6-6 in those heels, yet, she worked the stage big time.....you're seeing the 6th member of Nightwish, Troy Donockley, who's English, but plays "pipes, whistles, and strings": this instrument are Ullian pipes, which are Irish bagpipes.....they self inflate, without a breaths in by the player..... also, Argentine rock audiences are bat-shit crazy.....
Good lord, no she's not lol She's 6ft, and those boots are about a 2 1/2 - 3" inch heel. There's your math. Still incredibly impressive, much like her lung capacity, so there's no need to exaggerate. Her Tampere heels are the highest I've seen her in and they look to be about 4+". THOSE are insanely high and ain't no way she's bouncing around in those.

I would also recommend The Islander from the Tampere show for Marco's voice. Also Ave Maria with Floor and Marco is heavenly. More recently Floor had a solo show and she uploaded Face your demons. I am truly amazed by this woman and I know she can sing anything but she still surprised me with the way she sang that song. Also I looove your reaction videos!

Got a Love the South American fans. My bucket list incudes seeing Nightwish live in Buenos Aries and Tampere. Both crowds are amazing. If you think the band has peaked checkout songs from their most recent album. Tuomas really challenged all the band members. Checkout Shoemaker (Lyric Video) and How's the Heart (Planet Rock Acoustic video) to hear some amazing singing. Also Endlessness for Marko taking the lead and killing it. From Wacken 2013 - over the Endless Forms most Beautiful tour - and to this Decades Tour - Floor evolved. Tuomas managed to challenge her in her lower register, and she also got free "hands" to interpret the old songs they brought up, to her more metal style and incredible voice and power. In this Buenos Aires 2018 concert you will experience some incredible performances from her (even though she wasn't completely on top due to a flue she was recovering from.
In "Devil and the deep dark Ocean" - she shows incredible lounge capacity among other spectacular things.
In "Dead Boy's Poem" - she spellbinds the audience completely
And - in "Carpenter" - you hear Troy doing lead singing, until Floor takes over. Troy is a brilliant singer also.
Nowadays Floor and Troy has divided Marko's singing parts between them.
I my opinion, was the Decades Tour (this Buenos Aires 2018 concert) a better tour than the Imaginarium (Wacken 2013) - Floor, Marko and Troy were completely in sync, doing incredible singing - and Emppu is shining more here than in the old days - especially his cooperation with Floor are phenomenal - they simply loves each other. But they all do - and that chemistry on stage, affects the audience.
In this song, Floor actually chases Emppu to get him to dance along, and he hides behind Troy on his stand (it can be seen on some fan videos out there, both from this concert, but also from some European concerts)
Don't worry - Floor hasn't peaked yet - she is constantly improving and are completely insanely phenomenal nowadays..
On their newest album - she shows voice and breath techniques beyond belief...

On the "new angle".... I rather like this new angle. The right side of the screen (for viewers) is more like a blank canvas in which to put the concert/performer insert. The guitar on the wall over your shoulder is very nicely placed, and enhances your musical background without becoming cluttered with your whole inventory. The dark disc of the mic plus the darker headphones is also a nice contrast against the white walls. My artist eye approves.

Buenos Aires gig is pure gold! So many awesome songs there… 10th man down, Kinslayer and I think Ghost Love Score is even better from this gig. The ending is soooo good and a bit different from the Wacken one. Evolved one might say.

FYI another time when the band fools everyone just like Ghost this was the 13th song of the set. Amazingly they did 21 songs ... the last two ... Greatest Show On Earth at 17 minutes and then right into Ghost Love Score at 10 minutes. The show was two hours long. For future reference you should kick back with your favorite beverage and watch the whole thing. I would wait until after you've reacted to the majority of the songs ... but man watching the whole concert is just stunning. These uilleann (elbow) pipes are incredibly difficult to play as level of coordination necessary to pump bellows under right elbow, compress bag with left elbow and finger the pipes and he's singing in this one !!
