    My guy! We have a 1971 and just got it running!! However the shifter is backwards. Forwards is reverse and reverse is forward. Any tips!?!?

      That’s how the early ones were built. The lever was installed horizontal on those and up was forward and down was reverse

    Where did you find the fitting to connect the fuel line to the motor I’ve looked all over and can’t find the right one

      It’s a small Mercury fitting which is the same as a Scott Atwater/ McCullough fitting. On this motor I just ran a longer hose out the front with a normal Mercury fitting on it

    Mercury rulz, especially back in the day, the tower of power inline 6's couldnt be touched.
