    Another couple of handy features are the auto convert where you can pick an exchange rate that you would like and if the rates move enough and it spikes for whatever reason - you get the rate you wanted. Also, it's a mistake to convert all your money in one hit to the currency you are travelling into, dribble it in in the lead-up like a savings account and you'll average the exchange rate so that any peaks or troughs are averaged out but leave a decent amount as AUD. If you are running low in the local currency you can top up with a currency conversion on the fly - or let Wise do it for you at the current live rates. But if you have too much foreign currency at the end of your trip - it will cost you to convert it back to AUD, but not if you left it as AUD.

    Thank you, finally a review of actual use. I really appreciate you doing this review. My wife is Japanese so we do go to Japan every 2 to 3 years to visit family and friends. Actually planning on moving there in 7 years as expats. So we've been looking for a way to take advantage of current exchange rates and of course to convert my home country currency to Yen once we are living there. Thank you !

    Regarding the digital cards, do they have a 16 digit number like a credit card? For example, if I'm purchasing some airfare in Thai Baht, I'll need to put in the 16 digit card number along with expiration date and CVV. Do they work just like physical card in that regard?

    Question: are there no fees when adding money via a manual bank transfer? Would that be a good option when adding large amounts of money? TIA!

    Hi @investwithQueenie - I thought WISE did charge a fee on withdrawals from ATMS after a certain amount of money was withdrawn. Like you have two free withdrawals per month up to a certain amount. I'm pretty sure after that, there's a percentage taken.

    • @InvestWithQueenie
      @InvestWithQueenie  5 месяцев назад +2

      Yes you're right! Sorry I should have mentioned there is a cap. $350 AUD per month can be withdrawn fee-free from an ATM!

    Since your video is fairly new, Have you had any issues with your money being lost and not being able to recover it seeing they are not a real bank? The tips on Apple Pay and using bigger banks atm are helpful.

      It depends on your credit rating. If you have a good credit rating, then go for credit card, otherwise just selec savings

    WISE may dazzle with all its bells and whistles, but when issues arise, brace yourself for potential frustration as their customer service or team may drag their feet, leading to a descent into chaos.🎉🎉

    Why don't you use the Qantas member card you can load it with money and use it as a debt card

    • @duckiew7732

      I was thinking the same, however Qantas pay exchange rate is crap, but there are no conversion fees. So you gotta weight it up.

    Hello, I wrote a few messages through your RUclips and Messenger about fees but have had no response? I was told Wise do not charge fees but I am a new customer and loaded my currency (Australian) and Indo rupiah by transferring from my bank account and was charged fees both times by you? I have a screenshot of the transactions but cannot add them here?

      Are you saying Queenie charged you? Plus if you have technical questions, you should be asking Wise. Queenie gave us a review, she is not tech support.

    Thank you for your time and posting. I just don't get it. You offer everyone a nice review and many think you are Wise's tech support. And of course, they want the support for free. I've found this with almost every review of a product. Very nice review BTW. :)
