Hey Áon, this is what we're here for, to help our customers 💚
We're glad that you enjoyed the video.
I have had a Wise card for about 3 yrs and have been slowly loading it for a UK/European holiday. I became concerned when I saw Facebook pages where some people have had issues with their accounts. I have to say that the card worked flawlessly for the 2 months I was traveling. Thanks, Wise, highly recommended.
Hey there! It's messages like yours that give us the motivation to keep pushing forward, so thanks for that, and we hope you had an amazing trip, of course 💚

Thank you very much. A couple of friends put me onto Wise and I am building a balance in prep of travelling overseas in a week. Looking forward to the whole experience of using Wise.

Great video! Thanks!
We're glad to hear that! 🤩
Nice! I should try the digital card soon! 👍
We think you're going to absolutely love the digital card 🤩
Lovely presenter.
Hello Wise, thanks for the video. I would like to know if I can connect my digital wise card to different bank accounts or would I need separate digital cards for each account. If the latter is correct, how do I tell Wise which account I want it to detract from? Thanks.
Hey, Kay! Your Wise digital card will always be linked to all your balances. If you wish to send money to your personal account outside of Wise, you'll just need to add the account details when setting up the transfer.
Regarding spending with your card, if you're not spending in the local currency, our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee. Check more info here: wi.se/smartconversiontech
Feel free to send us a PM on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram in case you still have further questions, and we'll be happy to help 🙂
So if I’m travelling to an other country and I open a local balance I can start spending as a local or I need to set up in the app to spend in the local currency if I have multiple currencies? Or with location will be automatically charged in the local currency if I have this balance available? Thank you!
Carlos, you can always spend like a local using Wise - You don't necessarily need to open a balance in the local currency for that, but if you do, we'll charge the amount from there.
If you don't open a balance, we'll convert the amount from the balance with the best conversion fee. You can read more about this here: wi.se/smartconversiontech
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us in our other social media channels (RUclips, Instagram, or Twitter). We'll be happy to help you over there 😊
I will be travelling in 4 Asia countries this September and I have a Wise card coming in two weeks. While travelling, I will be using an eSIM on my iPhone and not use my home country (Canada) SIM card cell network. How do I receive text messages from Wise about authorizing transactions when I am on a foreign country eSIM when I use the Wise APP?
Hey, Louis!
We recommend you use the app or an authenticator app for 2-step verification. They only need an internet connection, so they’ll work even if you’re abroad or changed your SIM. For more info, check here: wi.se/two-step-verification
If you have any other questions, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook or you can contact us via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus
Hi Wise, great video!. I'm planning to travel to 3 different countries and convert money to local currency. If I do need to withdraw cash, do the card automatically withdraw from my local currency account I've pre loaded with? or how does it work with multiple pre loaded country currency. thanks
Hey there, great question! When you use your Wise card to withdraw money, you'll want to do so in the local currency. If at the time of withdrawing, you don't have any local currency in your account, our smart conversion technology will go ahead and take money from the balance with the best conversion rate at the time. Check out more about that here: wi.se/smartconversiontech
We hope this helps, but let us know if you have questions about anything else. We're here for you!
Hi, Wise Digital card is amazing! I have one added to my google pay in GBP but how can I have another euro card added to my google wallet to use in Europe?
Hey, Sanchita 👋 Thanks for your kind words.
Actually, to spend in another currency, you don't need to have a different card. You can open an EUR balance, add money to it and use the same card.
And that's how it works: when you spend money in a currency you already have in your balances, we’ll deduct the amount for free. If you don’t have the currency in your account, we’ll automatically convert the amount for you. We’ll take it from whichever available balance has the cheapest conversion fee. So there’s no need to worry about converting money before travelling.
You can also check this page for more info: wi.se/gettingstartwiththecard We hope that helps, but please let us know if you have any other questions.
I live in New Zealand and have just sent for a Wise card. I plan to visit the UK (London) next year. Is it more cost effective to use the NZ$ amount for spending or load GBP before I go?
Hey, there!
If you're planning to go to the UK, you can convert your AUD to GBP to spend there. In case you don't wish to do that, the Wise card has the Smart Conversion technology that will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee. You can check more info here: wi.se/smartconversiontech
It'll all depends on the exchange rate of the day, so we won't be able to advise you on what's better in that case. However, you can always send us as message on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram if you need anything else 🙂
Good explanations, but i still don t understand this: on the card tab it seems i have a digital card with a card number, on the second tab it says get a digital card, on the third get a physical card. So if the second is get a digital card what is the first one?
Hi. Sounds like the first one is your active digital card. You can use it to make purchases online, or add it to your Mobile wallet 🙂 More here: wi.se/wisedigitalcard.
Im also travelling in Asia this month ayam setting up currency in each bucket for the different countries. How does my card know which currency to use?
Hey there! Our card uses a Smart Conversion technology, this means it will take the money out of the balance that has the same currency. If you don't have the currency in your account, it automatically converts the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee 😎
If the currencies that you hold in your account have the same conversion fees, we'll use the one with the best exchange rate, so you get the most for your money. Learn more about this here: wi.se/smartconversiontech
Hello! In my account, I have an account with Dollars, Euro and Reais (account opened in Brazil). I am in United States. If I use my card, with take the dollars I already have in an account? Is the PIN number the one we use in the payments and gotten from the app of a specific card? Since I have the three currencies in my account, not sure from where the card will take the money from. I thank you for any advice and information!
Hi, Lanfranco. We'll be glad to answer all your questions. Firstly, about the PIN, you mentioned that your account was opened in Brazil, we can confirm that it's definitely the one you use for payments, and is shown in your app from the 'Card' tab > Show PIN.
Now, we understand your concern about having multiple currencies in your account, and how they're used for transactions. For context, Wise has this technology that checks whether you have the currency you need to avoid fees. So for example, if you have a USD currency on your account, and you're using your Wise card within the US, then our system will automatically deduct it from your USD balance. And even if you don’t have it in your account, you can still spend money. Our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee. We've covered this here: wi.se/smartconversiontech
If travelling abroad, we'd suggest converting to the currencies you need within Wise before spending. We have some tips outlined: wi.se/aux1za We hope this helps, and let us know if you have clarifications 😊
Thank you for your video which I have just watched. I'm in Australia travelling to New Zealand, I have the physical and digital card. I want to hire a rental car in NZ, can you please advise how I should pay for this, prior to Wise I used my bank credit card as security.
Hi, and thanks for watching! 👋 You should be able to use our card to pay for the rental car - wi.se/whereyoucanuseyourcard, but this also depends on the company, so we also suggest you to double-check this with them.
If something comes up, do let us know.
Do you have service in the Czech Republic? Going to Prague later this year.
Hey, Lori. If you want to know if you can use your Wise card when you're traveling to the Czech Republic, you can use it there 🙂
It should normally work in every place where debit cards are accepted. Depending on where your card was issued, there might be some countries where it won't work. So if you're planning to travel anywhere else, make sure to check this page: wi.se/whereyoucanuseyourcard
We hope that helps, but feel free to reach out via PM/DM on our other social media channels (X, Facebook, Instagram) if you have any other questions.
Question! If I have a digital wise card, can I order one or two physical cards (for husband and son) which are attached to the same account?
Hey, Tina 👋 You can only have one physical card at any time. Due to privacy and security reasons, if you order a Wise card - Both physical or digital, it can only be used by you. If your husband or son wants to get a card, they'll need to create their own Wise account. But note that the card will be linked to their respective balances only.
Have a wise card never been able to activate it. It keeps asking for a six PIN number beneath the card . And there are more than six. Regards. Ngaire medder
Hey, Bill. There should be a physical sticker on the card that shows a 6 digit PIN. If you don't see that, please reach out at wi.se/contactus, or send us a private message on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Our agents will help you out there.
If I have put foreign exchange into my account for eg Japanese Yen when I am in Japan will the card automatically use this currency from the amount held in the Japanese yen account or do I need to select the currency ?
Hi, Tom. To answer your question, Wise has this technology that checks whether you have the currency you need to avoid fees. So for example, if you have a JPY currency on your account, and you're using your Wise card in Japan, then our system will automatically deduct it from your JPY balance, no need to manually select the currency.
In addition, even if you don’t have it in your account, you can still spend money. Our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee. We've covered this here: wi.se/smartconversiontech But if travelling abroad, it's indeed recommended converting to the currencies you need within Wise before spending. We hope this helps, and let us know if you have clarifications 😊
Do I need a digital card on my phone when the physical card is also on my phone or can I just use the physical card by adding to Apple Pay on my iPhone wallet and Apple Watch ?
Hey, Tom 👋 You only need one card to link it to your Apple Pay and Apple Watch. So if you've already added your physical card to Apple Pay, you won't need the digital card there as well.
Check out this page to find out more about adding your card to Apple Pay and any common issues: wi.se/addingcardtoapplepay
Hello I live in The UK and will be traveling to India soon. I have set up in my wise app the local GBP account and also an INR account. I have recently purchased the eco card because of travel. I would like to know how to use the physical card in India? If i use it in the stores to make payment will it be directly debited from GBP or INR ? Is there an option for it on the app? Because i want to use the INR balance when i make payment from physical card in India, as i have already converted some GBP to INR lump-sum..
Thank you.
Hi there, Lourdes. If you already have a balance of INR, we'll automatically use the money from there when you spend locally in INR with your Wise card.
Your Wise card won't use money from your GBP balance, unless you no longer have enough INR balance to cover the purchases you make there.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us on one of our official support channels: Instagram, Facebook, or X/Twitter 📩
I have a wise card issued in the UK already and will be travelling to Qatar but wise app doesn't have qatar currency in it. Am I allowed to withdraw money to a ATM Machine using my wise card in Qatar given that I have GBP money in my account?
Hey, Hernandez! We currently don't support QAR, but you can certainly use your card in Qatar. If you don’t have the currency you need in your account, you can still spend money. Our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee. For more info, check here: wi.se/smartconversiontech
If you withdraw cash in a currency you're not currently holding, we'll charge a conversion fee to convert it for you. For more info, please refer to here: wi.se/withdraw-fees
Should you have any other questions, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook 🙂
Hi there, are both the physical and digital card linked together. I’m planning on depositing some money into the wise card from my local account and wanted to make sure that both physical and digital is able to access the money. If they are not linked how would I know Which account to deposit into since I only have one bsb and account number. Hope this makes sense.
Hey, Carol. Both physical and digital card are linked together with your Wise balance account. So as long as you have money in your account, you'd be able to use both your physical and digital card to spend money 🙂
If you're holding the local currency of where you're traveling, our system will use that currency to make payment. But if you don't have the local currency, our system will automatically convert the available balance that has the lowest conversion fee to make payment. Check out this page for more info: wi.se/smartconversiontech
Is it possible to add a physical or digital Wise card to WeChat pay or Alipay so I can use it whilst in China ?
Hi 👋 Yes, that's certainly possible.
We explain how it works here: wi.se/addcard.
Please make a separate video on the newly launched 'Wise Interest'.
Hey, Debes! Thanks so much for the feedback. We'll pass it on to the team and let them know you'd find some interest-related content useful. In the meantime, you can learn more here: wi.se/usingwise-interest
If you have any specific questions, you can DM us on Facebook, X or Instagram, or you can get in touch by phone or email here: wi.se/contactus
This is a very helpful video, thank you! I am Canadian and recently set up a digital Wise card and installed Wise on Apple Pay prior to a trip to Japan. Most convenience stores I visited in Japan accepted Wise and the expenses were deducted from my balance in CAD. It was very……convenient! Now my question: in 2024 I will be visiting the US, New Zealand, French Polynesia and Australia (all in one trip). I don’t think you cover French Polynesia but I presume I should set up balances for Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars and US dollars, and that it would be wise (pun intended) to transfer some money from my Canadian bank account into each of them before I leave home. But what if I overestimate what I expect to spend? After my trip, can I transfer surplus foreign currency back into Canadian dollars? In my Wise account, or in my bank account? Thank you in advance for your help. (In 2023 I converted a lot of cash to Icelandic krona, only to find that nobody in Iceland wanted cash!) in 2024 I will be Wiser!!! 😅
Hi there, Gerarda, it sounds like you have an amazing 2024 planned, already! Just like your physical card, the digital card lets you spend money around the world with low conversion fees, securely. You can pay with your Wise card in most places where debit cards are accepted: wi.se/whereyoucanuseyourcard and our card allows you to keep and spend multiple currencies. Simply use the card, and we’ll convert the amount automatically for you, from any currency you hold in your balances, for a low fee: wi.se/smartconversiontech
So in this case, it would be wise to create balances for the available currencies, as this ensure you're using the appropriate balances when using your card.
If you find that you have surplus foreign currency, you can certainly convert this back to CAD balance on your Wise account, once you return home. Here's a little more info on how to convert between balances: wi.se/moneyconversion You can also send this to your external bank account if you'd prefer. Here's some info on that: wi.se/sendfrombalance
Please feel free to reach out to us over on social media for more help. This can be on X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, or alternatively through this link: wi.se/contactus - we're here to help 💚
@@Wise Thank you soooo much, this is awesome!
Hello Wise Team, I would like to know whether Wise, like banks, passes on account data and account details of Wise customers to other countries (for example Thailand) for tax audit reasons (data comparison). Thank you
Hey, Michael 👋 We store your information securely, as it needs to be recorded in compliance with our regulators. This data is not passed on to third parties unless it is vital to your use of Wise (for example passing on information to our partner bank in order to complete a transfer), as required by law, or consented to as outlined in our privacy policy.
Also, please note that we can’t give you advice on your personal tax situation, and if you have any questions about it, please speak to a qualified professional. Although, if you're looking for general information on how tax work with your Wise account, please check the help page here: wi.se/borderlessandtax
I plan to use Wise for the first time when I go to Thailand and Philippines this October. Can you please clarify this part for me? So if I put a balance for either country...I can use the Wise debit card to pay for purchases. Does it know automatically to take it out of the currency in the country I'm currently in? For example, if I'm in Thailand and use the debit card...does it automatically take the funds out of Thai (as long as I have a balance in it)? Same thing with atm withdrawal...does it automatically know to take out of the currency of the country I'm in? Thanks!
Hi Andy. As long as you've sufficient money in the currency you want to spend, your card will automatically deduct from the local currency. So if you're in Thailand, your card will deduct from your THB balance when you spend in stores. For ATM withdrawals, make sure to select the local currency if the ATM asks for it. Read more on our card fees here: wi.se/debitcardfees
Just a reminder, remember to activate your card by following these steps: wi.se/activate
Happy travelling! 😄
I have a Wise Card issued in the US (love it!!). I have read everything available about Wise Digital Cards (and understand how they work). As best I can determine from the Wise website, they are not available in the US. Does Wise plan on making them available in the US?? Thanks…
That's correct Keith, the Wise Digital card isn't available in the US just yet. We currently don't have a timeline for when this will be available, but we're always working to make more of our products available in more place. Keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest updates 👍
@@Wise I am also in the US. I also love Wise!! I also can't wait to get a digital card.
Hey, Gary. It's heartwarming to hear that! We cherish our wonderful customers like you. We hope to make the digital card available as soon as possible 🙂
@@Wise Thanks!! I’ve flown over 2 Million miles and traveled to many countries. I remember well how currency exchange used to work, especially before the Euro was introduced. The ability to hold multiple currencies in a Wise Account and get fair/good exchange rates is AWESOME. Right now, IMHO, the main “missing feature” is Digital Cards, for US Accounts.
We definitely hear you on that one, Keith! We're always looking to expand our services to as many regions as possible, so keep an eye out on our website and social media, as we'll be sure to let everyone know when this becomes available 😊
So excited for this card! If you have 3 digital cards, can you delete one and create a new one? If yes, is there a limit to the total maximum number of digital cards?
Hey, Vincent. We're glad to know you're excited! Yes, if you already have 3 cards, you can delete one and create a new one. Learn more at: wi.se/wisedigitalcard
Your digital card can be deleted and replaced 3 times a day. You can only have 3 active digital cards at one time 🙂
Can you use the debit card from the country you are in, to purchase online in another country in their local currency? E.g., can you be in the UK, and make a purchase (from the UK) on an Australian website with your Wise card in AUD (i.e., to avoid using an English card and being charged FX/other bank charges for spending online in AUD). Thanks.
Hey there. We're happy to see you're ready to get started with our debit card in order to make online purchases.
And yes, you'll be able to use the debit card in order to make purchases on foreign websites using the relevant currency in order to avoid (possibly high) conversion fees.
For more info on how to use your debit card in order to shop online, please have a look at our page here: wi.se/shoppingonline
Also note that even if you don't have the relevant currency topped up in a balance in your account with us, that our smart conversion technology would still be applied automatically, in order to keep the conversion fee as low as possible: wi.se/smartconversiontech
And to see which currencies you'll be able to hold in your account with us in the first place, please check out our page here: wi.se/balancecurrencies
Having said that, please note that some websites will only be able to accept cards that were issued locally. To learn more about this, and where you can use the debit card in general, please check out our other page here: wi.se/whereyoucanuseyourcard
We hope this helps, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions for us. We'd be more than happy to help you, of course.
Hi Good video. I have used Wise for several years mainly setting up to to transfer to my bank or use it when on holiday I am in UK. Q/ I am looking to order something from a travel agent in USA. Can I use the card like a credit card? i.e Contact the seller and give them my card details? or do I need their bank details? I would prefer to talk to them and then pay by card at the same time..
Hey, Liz. Our Wise card isn't a credit card, it's more similar to a debit card. With it, you can easily spend what you have in your balances held within your account at stores, restaurants, and much more. See more here:wi.se/debitcardfaq
Please avoid sharing your card details with anyone as this could compromise the security of your account. As an alternative, you could get their bank details instead and send money from your balances instead: wi.se/sendfrombalance
Send us a PM on Facebook, Instagram, or X, if you need further help - we'll be happy to assist 😉
@Wise when I use an ATM using wise what do I select? Checking or savings?
Hey there! If you're checking your balances, please choose "Checking". For withdrawals, you can choose "Savings" 🙂
Let us know if you have any questions, we're always happy to help.
@@Wise that's not accurate
So when you going overseas and want to use the wise card to pay instore, do you select CREDIT CARD to pay? Or what do I select? As I just used it, but been rejected when I selected credit card😢
Hey, there 👋 You can select debit card to make payment with your card. However, if this isn't an option, then usually credit card would work. Please take a look at some common issues and solutions when paying with card: wi.se/declinedtransaction
If it doesn't work, please share the error screenshot along with your membership number on one of our private platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Alternatively, you can also email us via wi.se/contactus We'll take a closer look.
How about making a withdrawal from a local bank at the teller window with the wise card loaded with local currency and a passport? I'm thinking Thailand specifically.
Hi Neil! You won't be able to withdraw from a local bank or a teller window using your Wise card. However, you can withdraw cash from almost any ATM that accepts international cards, including those in Thailand. Here's where you can find an ATM close to you: www.visa.com/atmlocator/
If you need any help with that, you can contact us via DM on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, and we'll be right there for you 🙂
So if I have Euro in my home country… and travel to Thailand… I need to change to Thai Bath in the app?
Hey, there, it's really simple! 🙂 To pay with your card, you only need to add money in your Wise account. If you spend money in a currency you already have in your balances, we won't charge you any fees. If you don’t have the currency in your account, we’ll convert the amount for you, taking it from whichever available balance has the cheapest conversion fee. Please check all details here: wi.se/gettingstartwiththecard

Hi I have a question. Does wise only work when you are PHYSICALLY at the new place?
For example you are traveling from usa to uk.
While planning your trip for pre booking hotels, tickets, etc. can you pay for it with preloaded currency (pounds) while in US or will it charge usd with conversion fees? Thanks
Hey, there!
If you have the Wise debit card, and you have money on your balances, you can easily use it to pay for hotels or tickets as any other debit card. Check: wi.se/wise-card
For your situation, in case you have money on your USD balance, you can convert to a GBP balance and use it to pay in the local currency and buy your tickets in advance. Learn more from this link: wi.se/moneyconversion

Hello ,i dont see argentina pessos, can i buy with an euro balance from site that requires a debit argentina acount?
Hey, there. We don't support holding ARS in your account, which is why you can't open an ARS balance. However, we support spending in ARS with a Wise card. We'll just convert from an existing balance you have. Learn more about the conversion fees here: wi.se/card-fees
Just to clarify, our Wise card isn't available in Argentina. It's only available in these countries, and are issued from there: wi.se/cardavailability
If you need an Argentina-issued Wise card, we won't be able to provide that. Hope this clarifies 🙂
do you press Credit or Savings when using your pin
Great question! Since the Wise card functions as a debit card, you'll typically want to use the "Debit" option when spending, or in your case, "Savings". In most cases, either should work, but it's best to start with this option 👍
Hi! I have both physical card and online acct. I would like to purchase an order online but in different currency. I am using euro. Do I have to make an account using the same currency or can I use my euro acct directly? Will it convert automatically? Thanks
Hey there. If paying by card, you don't have to open another balance, we'll just automatically convert it from the currency with the cheapest fee, we call it Smart conversion: wi.se/smartconversiontech This applies to currencies that we support, other currencies will be converted according to Mastercard/Visa conversion rates.
Currencies we support: wi.se/currencieswesupport
@@Wise hi! would like to ask, continuation to @lavenderjessy 's question, say I want to purchase something online in USD, but my currency is NZD, if I open a balance in USD, will the purchase online be deducted automatically from the USD balance? thanks, Wise!
Can you add digital wise card to Samsung Pay? Thanks
Hey, Rodney. You can use your card with Samsung Pay in the US, and if you have a Mastercard issued from the US or Japan, you can use it in the UK. We explain more at wi.se/linkingcardtosamsungpay
If I use my card and I have no money in my wise account , will you draw directly from my linked bank account or would the transaction decline ?
Great questions, Ian! Our digital card can be used for either a single transaction, or multiple! You can have up to 3 digital cards at once, all with different details, and replace them as you'd like. Just keep in mind - you can only get 3 new cards per day. You can find some info here 👉 wi.se/replacedeletedigitalcard
Also, the Wise card, both physical and digital, will only work with the money you have in your balances. We won't draw from your local or linked bank accounts, so you'll want to add money first. More on that here 👉 wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances
Can I use wise card in Qatar, Doha? I am not able to open an account.

Do I need to have money on the digital debit card or will it automatically deduct from my Wise account?
Hey, there 👋
Your Wise cards, both digital and physical, are linked to your Wise account balance - this means to use them you'll need to have money in your Wise account. When spending with your digital card, If you don’t have the currency you need in your account, you can still spend money. Our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee.

Do you need a physical card to withdraw money from an atm in Brazil?
Hey, Lukas. If you have your physical/digital card added into a supported mobile wallet and if the ATM supports contactless feature, you can withdraw money from an ATM.
Please note that if your card is issued in Brazil, you can't withdraw non-BRL currencies in Brazil, but you can withdraw those in other countries. Here's more information on where you can use your Wise card: wi.se/whereyoucanuseyourcard And, you can check here for more information on how to use cardless ATMs: wi.se/cardless-atm
Please feel free to contact us at wi.se/contactus or DM us on X, Instagram and Facebook if you have further questions, we'll be here to help.
Please advise step by step how to use Wise Digital Card to withdraw foreign currency at overseas ATM.
Hey there. We're excited to see you're ready to get started with our digital debit card.
But with that said, please take note that it's not always possible to withdraw funds from an ATM without a physical card.
Be that as it may, there has been a steady increase in the amount of cardless ATMs in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and Singapore.
To read more about cardless ATMs, and where you may find them, please have a look at our blog here: wi.se/blog-cardless-atm
And when it comes to actually using a contactless ATM abroad, please use the following steps:
1. Make sure you have a balance in the relevant country's currency topped up in your account with us, in order to pay (possibly high) conversion fees: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances
2. Activate your digital card, and link it to a mobile wallet like Apple Pay: wi.se/linkingcardtoapplepay - or Google Pay: wi.se/linkingcardtogooglepay
3. Use the QR code that the contactless ATM will provide via its screen, and scan this with your mobile device, and follow the prompts.
4. If needed, download the relevant bank's app before using the contactless ATM, in order to request the withdrawal.
Furthermore, it may also be worthwhile having a look at our page here: wi.se/applepayatm - as it contains some useful info when it comes to withdrawing funds using Apple Pay.
We hope this explains things to some extent, but please feel free to PM or DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns. We'd naturally be happy to provide you with further assistance.
Hello to all. I'm going to Florida US and I'll use my US$ balance on my Wise card. I go shopping and I pay by Wise card in the store. Can I ask the cashier for cash back toward my Wise US$ balance? Is this going to count as the regular spending transaction or goes toward my monthly ATM cash withdrawal limit? Thanks
Hey there! We're not sure whether we understood your question correctly, could you please elaborate on this a little more? If the shop you're spending in offers a cashback to your card for a purchase, it would most likely be considered as a regular transaction, however, we'd like to understand your query more to make sure we advise you better.

Is a digital card for a single transaction or multiple ?
Hey, Ian! That's really up to you. Our digital card can be used for either a single transaction, or multiple! For security reasons, you might want to use the card once and then delete it or generate a new one with different details. Alternatively, you can keep the card and use it for online transactions as many times as you like. Just remember, you can only get 3 new cards per day.

i have added my physical card and my digital card to Google Pay, but you dont explain how we actually use these cards. I have no idea how to use them. Please advise. How do I pay for something< how do i actually do it? I want to pay contactless if possible
Hey Nick! So, from Wise side, you'd need to add money to your balance, and it's ready to be spent with your Wise card. And now if you've added the card into your Google Pay, then at a payment terminal that supports contactless payments you can just tap your phone on the contactless symbol and pay for the goods. But before paying, you might need to enter your PIN or use your fingerprint (or similar) it depends on your phone.
You can search for "How to pay with Google Pay" and Google itself will give you their guide for it.

Can you have 2 cards (like a joint account) - one for me and one for my spouse?
Hi, there. If you have a personal account that's based in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK region, it's possible to order an Eco card as a second card: wi.se/wiseeco However, due to the way that we operate, cards (or accounts) can't be shared/joint. You can have your spouse create an account with us, and get a card instead.

I want to keep my card frozen except for when I actually use it. So if I want to make an ATM withdrawal or purchase, I would tap the app to unfreeze, make the transaction and then once the transaction is completed, tap again to freeze the card. Does anyone know if this would cause problems?

If I understood any of that incorrectly then please reply with best way if you were in my shoes, thanks
Hey, there! Thanks for getting in touch.
It’s completely up to you, since you have two options: Just keep the money in the currency you have, and we’ll convert the money for you automatically using the real mid-market rate, which includes a small conversion fee. Or, you can convert a bigger sum to beforehand, if you see a desirable rate: wi.se/ratetracker, so you could pay like a local. Both options are convenient 🙂
You can always double-check our fees upfront from here: wi.se/ourfees, as well. We hope this helps, but if you have further questions, be sure to contact us in one of our social media channels, or via email/phone: wi.se/contactus
Awesome, thanks for your quick reply. I do have one more Q. As I mentioned I am in the UK so my personal banking is GBP. But I work for companies who pay me in USD. Some of the companies have offered to convert from USD to my GBP wise acc, but my guess is that would be more expensive if they do it ? so am I better off just getting the company to pay me the USD currency & then I can make the conversion from wise to my UK personal acc if need be? or does it not matter which method I use? new to this, apologies for silly questions... @@Wise
Not silly at all, we're always happy to help! But this is another thing that is mainly your preference. If you have any concerns about any fees and rate that your employer is going to use to convert USD to GBP, it may be best to receive the payment in USD. You can then convert to GBP at your convenience, and at a preferred exchange rate.
Perfect, thankyou
