    In the USA this is the Airmax Precision Match Pistol.
    If you enjoyed it please LIKE and SHARE.
    This has other incarnations in life, the PP700 etc. It has been around a while but this is my little video on the subject.
    These are the targets I use, way cheaper than the major brand.

    Theory: the power might spike when the tank is running low because there's less pressure putting tension on the firing valve. Thus, less resistance when the hammer strikes.

    I just bought a Chinese made PCP rifle with a built-in pump and it's one of the best damn air rifles I've ever shot. Trigger is amazing and I'm shooting pinky hole size groups at 20 yards. The Chinese apparently stopped screwing around sometime in the past five years and are really putting out some quality products. Longevity is the only thing that I'm concerned about.

    • @dunxy
      @dunxy 6 лет назад

      Sure they have lifted their game but they still fail a bit in consistency. Im not saying its the case with your particular product but it can often be that for every one or two good ones there may be 5 or 6 bad(maybe just not so good) ones, so it can be a bit of a gamble. It does seem though if you pay top dollar, their consistency is acceptable .Im sure with in 10 years they will be what Japanese quality is these days.

      I think we need to petition the Royal Queen for an extra foot pound of energy on the set 12 fpe. I mean we are entering into the time of knowledge and modern technology and the least they can give us is another 1 or 2 pfe. I bet if we make enough noise and cry out loud for everyone to see and really cause a ruckus, we can achieve a little bit more fpe for our bb guns and pellet guns?

Don't you just love the gun club brain washing of the Daystate crowd despite the current questionable quality of those guns. I have owned and still own many guns, some Chinese, but what I do know is that not all Chinese guns are crap. Far from it. Those small thinking people need to broaden their horizons a little.

      Not knowing the mechanics of something, it would be hard for anyone to come up with an absolute idiot proof way of making anything safe .
      But my preface was that IF THE ONLY WAY THAT THE GUN COULD FIRED,
      Was for the hammer to drop. Then don't cock the hammer.
      There are guns that the trigger must be pulled in order for the hammer to contact the firing pin.

    Based on the level of your recommendation I searched the Interwebs (Gotta love that name) high and low for this wondrous marvel of human engineering. Naturally, being in the US where anything stamped "Made in China" is instantly poopooed, there are NO dealers carrying it. Even the guys that carry Chinese scopes and the like were bereft of anything resembling PP700. The nastly little Brits who carry the product wanted nothing to do with shipping one to the US of course. It's impossible to read any of the Indian websites even after the pitiful Google Translation gets done attempting to turn them into a legible form for those of us who are unable to decipher anything even remotely dissimilar from American.... (gotta love that name too) and just when it appeared that all hope was lost I found a Spanish air gun dealer who very proudly displayed their willingness to ship all over the world. Alas, the Zasdar (gotta love that name) was on back-order but never fear they said, we'll take your order and ship it to you the minute it hits our shelves. I hope the Zasdar (yeah yeah yeah...that stuff about the name) is worth all this P.I.T.A.

    the UK putting limitations like that on an air gun is just ridiculous how the heck are you guys supposed to small game hunt with an air rifle let me guess you guys got to go out of your way and get a special license just to own the air rifle even though it's not a firearm well at least not as defined here by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms which defines a 'firearm' as -a device that uses a fire based propellant to propel a projectile.
    then again government laws are often weird and more restrictive than they should be.

      Enter The Hunter Nope, it’s perfectly legal to own a 12 ft/lb air rifle which is more than capable of hunting rabbit/squirrel sized game. Decent field craft will get you within a reasonable distance of your target for a safe and humane shot.

      Thomas Smith my break barrel can push over 26 foot pounds at the muzzle and I don't consider that enough I have my pellet gun sighted in at about 100 ft, I think that would be about 33 meters for you guys being you use a different unit of measurement.
      then again I also use my pellet guns depending on where I'm trapping as a means of dispatching game that I intend to take, so of course I want something with more power then my current break barrel I recently bought some 22 caliber pellets for it that are up to 33 grains there's another tin at 26 grains and another at 18 the usual for a 22 caliber pellet is 14.7.

      keirrxn well not here in the United States the ATF defines a firearm as a device that uses a Firebase propellant to propel a projectile although the dec probably for controlling things more when people are a field basically considers anything over 600 feet per second a firearm even though it is not their job to define a firearm it is the ATF there basically is no limitation federally or locally as to how close you can be to another person's house or property when firing of course you won't be firing an air gun on to their property that would be a problem but of course the Department of Environmental Conservation sets a limit of 100 ft I'm looking at a Benjamin Bullpup PCP which can deliver up to 200 foot pounds at the muzzle it is chambered in 357 and the pellets look very much like a mini ball back from the old Muzzleloader days

      It's to do with the choclolate. If you have chocolate on a biscuit, then it's classed as a luxury. Therefore you will pay tax on it. Chocolate on a cake, is not classed as a luxury, as a cake is classed as a food source, going back a few 100 years. When food was harder to come by. A "CAKE" would have been the main source of nutrition for poor household. The cakes they knew and what we know today may have been very different. By definition however they are one and the same.
      The scientists got involved to confirm that a jaffa cake, is indeed a cake. After a massive court case.

    400 fps is pretty slow. Paintball players shoot each other with guns set to 280 fps. Gun laws in England are ridiculously tight, in my mind. Of course, I'm sure some would point out their low rate of gun crime. But for the same $200 he used to get that pop gun, I bought a Charles Daly 12 gauge pump shotgun. If someone pounds your door down, it invites them to leave with extreme prejudice. And double ought buckshot is running about 1500 fps, so that will ruin someone's day.

    • @willrobinson5350
      @willrobinson5350 6 лет назад +5

    • @ClayLoomis1958
      @ClayLoomis1958 6 лет назад +4

      That may be true, Will, but it's mighty reassuring to have a loaded 12 gauge handy. You can deal with any situation that arises. That is not a feeling you'll get with a low powered, single shot air pistol. Although, with weed now legal here in California, I would guess the need for that shotgun has dropped.

    • @willrobinson5350
      @willrobinson5350 6 лет назад +4

      Funny point about the weed. I keep a Remington 870 next to the bed in here in Tampa because I live on a street where i can see the types of things fond on the T.V. show "Cops" on a regular basis.

    • @ClayLoomis1958
      @ClayLoomis1958 6 лет назад +1

      Yeah, keep that 870 handy. Here on the central coast of California, the cops have very little to do, and there is little to worry about. But having a 12 gauge around eliminates ALL worries. Of course, a quick trip to the local dispensary for some Ghost OG, and a couple of bong hits, kinda has the same effect. It just eliminates worries from another angle. lol
      Suffice it to say, I don't think anyone buys that air gun for self protection. It's a back yard plinker and that's it.

      here in the Uk gun crime has risen over the past few years and is appearing to continue to rise, if someone enters our home illegally we aren't even allowed to hit them with a blunt weapon if they have a knife. its absolutely disgusting, go look up richard osborn-brooks the 78 year old man that stabbed a burgler and had a murder investigation on him, not enough evidence was found so no charges were filed but he nearly went to prison for defending his wife and home, there are more accounts like this where some cunt broke into someones home and when they got their ass handed to them they press charges for assault, gbh, abh, assult with a weapon so on and so forth. i wish i had the money to move to america sometimes.

      That already happens in the UK and other countries with overly restrictive gun legislation, but you're so ignorant you likely can't even recognise that allowing the people in general the ability to defend themselves and family, it levels the playing field and stops them becoming sitting ducks whenever bad guys, who never obey the law anyway, get lethal weapons to do just what you describe. After all, most of the time, these mass murderers go to places where they are confident they won't get shot back at from a dozen directions. Instead they target unarmed people for obvious reasons. States in America were concealed carry is legal have far less random shootings than those where "gun free zones" are laid out clearly (obviously). And there are more cases where firearms have saved lives and deterred killings, but the media doesn't commonly report on those. But stay wilfully ignorant, though, by all means. I hope it never happens to you or yours.

      A disarmed citizenry is a cowed supplicating citizenry, and gun laws are for the law abiding, not for criminals. In m.o., the basic reason people bump each other off so much in the states is extreme economic disparity and social incohesion (both of which are rising exponentially in europe too, thanks to the suicidal political decisions of the last 20 years), not the availability of firearms per se. E.g., in rural communities in the US, firearms are essential necessary tools. Murders, very low. Not firearms, society.

    • @MrPir84free
      @MrPir84free 5 лет назад +1

      @@glx4909 I would disagree with your assessment as to why people bump each other off; it's not extreme economic disparity or social incohesion as you state. People that kill others do so because of the values that they possess which are derived from where they grew up; if someone don't value life, then it's nothing for that same someone to take a life for something trivial, like $5.. Being raised poor is an excuse AFTER the fact; there are far more poor that have never turned to crime and killing because of economic disparity- thus your premise is false.. I grew up in a rather poor family, but that didn't mean that we ran around burglarizing others, and murdering others for the change in their pockets; that is often, more than not, taught to those that do kill, by their parents ( or whomever raised them ). It's the same thing for other violent acts, such as rape, beating of women and children, etc; there were poor examples set in the offender's childhood that formed the basis of their morals and behaviors that carry into adulthood. In today's society there's not even a racial aspect to this; it's all taught to the kids as they are growing up. And then, I've also seen some parents actually suggest that it's OK to burglarize, commit crimes, be violent, etc as long as they are not legal adults; in other words, they're setting their kids up as failures by encouraging bad behavior as adolescents; and it carries over.. It's bad parenting that is largely to blame. When society starts accepting that it's OK for someone to do something wrong to another, because of their color, or economic upbringing, etc, it's at that point that society starts breeding problems that will not accept the law as adults.. It's happening today when excuses are made for bad behavior rather than punishing them ...

    • @MrPir84free
      @MrPir84free 5 лет назад +1

      @@trondyne3513 IOW, you believe in punishing the rest of society for the acts of a few... The stats on murder by firearm are established by country, and are often, like any statistic, set by those collecting and presenting said statistics and aren't nowhere near uniform. Is it murder if you kill someone breaking into your home and committing crimes against you ? In the USA, it is largely NO.. In some countries like the UK, Australia, etc, it's considered worse than murder as the criminal apparently has more rights than their victims... The stats for the US often includes suicides, and death while committing a crime, even those when a police officer kills a suspect..

      Let's say we put you in charge of gun regulations in the UK and you made it just as easy to get a gun there as in your state... Then in 2 years the murder rate by gun tripled -- then what would you do? Keep the law or go back? Changing rules in other cultures have consequences that go far beyond pontificating on a message board -- that's reality and real lives..

    It is like most other things made in China. Someone comes up with a great pistol/rifle etc. and they have someone else manufacture it to the designer's specifications. ... And the manufacturer does this for that company. .....How ever, any of the guns made by the manufacturer that don't pass inspection for the company who ordered them, are then sold by the manufacturer as rejects......And of course someone else then repackages them under a different name and sells them for less. So you end up with a bunch of China made guns that were based on the same design, but didn't meet the standards of the designers. ..... Personally I wouldn't want a real gun as I feel they are way beyond that which ordinary citizens could ever justify owning, however an air gun with a limited power rating such as this one being demonstrated is a very good example of someone who is able to have fun with something that could potentially be dangerous but in general would take quite a bit to cause death unless really unlucky in an accident.
      I've never heard of anyone going on a rampage with an air pistol by the way and that's not a dig at the USA.
      So don't take what the other poster said to heart, you have the unlucky or lucky which ever way you view it as being in a position to own real highly dangerous guns that kill with ease, whereas in the UK/EU we have the good fortune not to own these guns, but can have reasonably good air guns that can do many of the things a real gun can do but with the added bonus of the extra safety for all concerned.

      you need a license to own one. a bit of paperwork, no criminal record, and pay the fee. you must also state your reason for requiring one... sporting purposes, shooting clubs, hunting and vermin control are all good. home defense isn't.

    • @stuartm2476
      @stuartm2476 6 лет назад +2

      In Scotland, we no longer even have airguns without a licence. Target practice in your own garden is very unlikely to count as a valid reason for requiring one. You could however get a licence allowing you to own an airgun to look at but not discharge if you don't have anywhere to fire it (I kid you not)... all because one person, years ago, shot somebody else. The only option we have now is the far less satisfying...and far more dangerous crossbow. This is likely to change soon though as I believe somebody was killed recently by one, something which would have been near impossible with a (uk legal powered) airgun. Oh how I look forward to cutting up my steak with a butter knife.

    • @nikonfan2407
      @nikonfan2407 6 лет назад +11

      Yeah....."1 person went and shot someone else". Sure, that seems accurate......
      Alternatively (the reality), in 1987 16 people were murdered in Hungerford by a nutcase armed with a Type 56 rifle (variant of the AK47), M1 Carbine and a Beretta 92 semi auto pistol.
      Also in 1996 in Dunblane, Scotland, another nutcase armed with 2 Browning 9mm pistols and an S&W .357 revolver walked into a primary and killed 16 young children and their teacher.
      Unlike the US, we realised the danger of having too many people with guns around and we heavily restricted them.
      I'd rather not have guns around, than worry that my kids might be coming home from school in a body bag.

    • @stuartm2476
      @stuartm2476 6 лет назад +7

      Apollo Mead in your own words, nutcases. Everyone interested in shooting as a sport or hobby has to suffer because of the failings of the licencing/vetting methods from decades ago? Don't get me wrong, those incidents were tragic but knee-jerk blanket bans are not the answer.
      I hear people in their thousands are accidently killed, every year, on British roads; I even hear people are using vechicles as murder weapons. Why are we still allowing privately owned vehicles?
      I know that you are going to say I'm being ridiculous as people need cars (but do they really?), so what about alcohol? A quick look at the stats puts the annual death toll, in the uk, at an alarming level. You certainly can't argue that people need alcohol yet anyone could argue that there is a far greater chance of your child coming home in a body bag because of it than there would ever be from a firearms related incident, even if we were in the 80s, before said bans. So tell me, are as anti vehicle or alcohol as you are anti gun?

    • @Sir_Budginton
      @Sir_Budginton 6 лет назад

      Stuart M while living in a large city you can get away with not owning a car, living in a smaller town or rural area you cannot.
      And as for alcohol, if the government tried to ban it there would be nation wide riots.

      We can have real guns in the UK it's just restricted and in fact we can have anything from a .22 rimfire all the way up to a 50cal. Shotguns are less regulated and little know even to UK residents is that we can have pump action shotguns, It's hand guns that are totally band and even then there's a small loophole, stick a stock and extended barrel on your Glock and it's all good. We are also limited to where we can shoot. We have it much easier than lots of countries although it is getting more stitched up as time goes on.
      Just lookup the Australian laws, can't even have a bow/crossbow or slingshot unless it's for fishing bait casting. Yes if you're into guns the US is great but you do have many restrictive laws and regulations that many countries don't.... its not the land of the free it once was!

    You have to turn the barrel clockwise so it rotates the barrels sleeve in the action, not anticlockwise or it can unscrew the barrel.
    This is to get the POI to change as the irons sights are useless on this model. Put 2nails I bench vice pointing up and use that to remove the end cap. If I get a spare barrel I will start using darts, fun guaranteed for the kids

    I'm sorry but I have to correct you on an important point in this video, the way you tell the difference between a cake and a biscuit is when they go stale, a biscuit goes soft and a cake goes hard, Jaffa cakes go hard, therefore, they are cakes. I hope this helps.

  • @ciderandthorazine
    @ciderandthorazine 5 лет назад +1

    great review! though i think jaffa cakes have got to be considered a small "unleavened" cake. any bona-fide biscuit found to be as soft and yielding in the mouth as a jaffa cake would surely be discarded. yeah i reckon jaffas are unusual but pleasant cakes, in the same way that naans are unusual-but-lovely loaves of bread.

    OK so you get a better group if you rest the pistol on something. Clamp it in a vice, the pellets may all go through the same hole. What's it like if you shoot one handed (ISSF 10m style)?

    Another excellent review. The makers of Jaffa cakes did go to court over their product and won a legal case against the U.K. Government who wanted to class them as biscuits. Biscuits are liable for VAT and cakes are not. They won because cakes go from soft to hard when they go stale and biscuits go from hard to soft. Just thought you'd like to know 😀. Honestly though I have no idea where this leaves "Pontefract cakes" which are a liquorice sweet!

  • @colinp2238
    @colinp2238 5 лет назад +1

    McVities had a legal case to call it a cake to avoid charging VAT. The definition is that a biscuit starts hard and goes soft as it ages (sound familiar?) and a cake is the opposite. McVities won on that technicality. It looks like you had eaten more than the Zasdar's worth of Jaffa Cakes before you bought the pistol.
    Great revue.

      colin Paterson I think they're French originally but look them up on yt, they're basically exactly the same thing. proper Madeline's are often made in a clam shell shaped baking tin but not always. they can be made just by pouring the batter into little spots on a flat baking tray and what you end up with is essentially Jaffa cakes without the chocolate and jelly.

    I have the Artemis PP700S-A in .22 same gun different name. For people worried about power spiking the nice Dutch people at NUMA do a aftermarket regulator for around £70, and it is very effective. You can also buy a muzzle adaptor in 1/2" UNF for a silencer, I have a Whisper 180 on mine almost doubles the length of the gun, but the don't call it the Whisper for nothing it drastically reduces the bang.
