This is a sport I can no longer afford. Used to own a BSA pistol and rifle many many years ago. This channel is the best viewing on the internet. Not been watching for very long but enjoying every video I am watching. Thanks for the time you are giving to bring us the best reviews for this sport. Keep it up and stay safe.
Air Venturi V10/Gamo Compact is your cheapest option for a match-legal pistol. And saving money on targets when practicing: Use air rifle targets (5 targets 1 sheet) at 5 meters instead of pistol targets at 10 meters (1 target 1 sheet). The black area on the air rifle targets is exactly half the size of the black part of the air pistol target, so shooting at 5 meters makes it basically the same. Except holes will be bigger comparably, and the numbers are different, but for practice, this doesn't really matter.
@@LA6NPA Being on a pension now I have to watch the pennies. Not got a big garden approx 16 mtrs long but plagued with pigeons, woodies, squirrels, would sooner deter them as kill them. I did buy a rifle slingshot from China and had to modify it and now it's good for 14 mtrs but it don't kill and is doing the job. If I was younger and not into my PC I would invest in a rifle and join a club. It's all about the money for everything now days. So I make do with Andy's reviews.
@@LA6NPA Lol not on hard times but money is spent on various things. Pc upgrade and need items for my amateur radio. Be nice getting a little more pension lol.
@@petemason57 Haha! I see! You may have noticed, I'm using my call sign as my user name, so I understand the sudden need for just one more antenna or shiny, lovely key! Though I'm not active (it's a recurring ADHD hyperfocus), if I ever came across a Novoplex (pre ww2 German bug), I'd surely be that much out of pocket in a flash! (Even if all I ever practice is on a tiny, homebrew cootie of my own design). 😊
Nice review Andy thanks, They are actually built to shoot high Andy, as your sight picture is based on focusing on the foresight at the six o clock position on the “black” on a 10m pistol target, not the bullseye, doesn’t look a bad piece of kit, but high powered though, 3-4 fpe is more the norm.
Air pistol target 10 mtr target has interested me for years but never had the funds to do it, but this gun puts the sport well within the range of a lot more people and in these trying times for shooting sports we need all the interest we can get.
Love the Crosmans, I bought the 1377 and I did the mods and then bought the 1322 which is the 22 calibre version as well and did the same. As you say, super accurate. All the best from Lancashire UK.
Oh, I've been waiting for this one - I had this bought earlier in the year having just taken up the sport, and it went back after a month. Grip was undersized and not particularly ergonomic at all out the box on the thumb location or the palm shelf by the wrist joint for me with a 9.3cm palm width and is terrible compared to the default grips on more expensive pistols. Mine leaked air through the regulator when the cylinder was attached/detached which is ultimately why it went back, but was also really fussy on pellet placement, constantly needing the pellet to be pushed past the breech seal as the pin wouldn't push straight so the pellets would get stuck half the time which I saw you also had an issue with. Got better with the quality of pellet used, but was still present even using R10s. I couldn't get this to give a clean break on the trigger, no matter how I adjusted it always felt a bit rough pulling through. Also worth noting that this is a heavy pistol coming in just shy of 1200g so it's about 20% heavier than market leaders and required a lot of grip to keep in in my hand, something less prevalent with more ergonomic and lighter weight pistols and worth bearing in mind for those in comments saying it might be good for juniors. In the end, I decided it was worth my money going with a second hand pistol at just over twice the price, and I have got more than twice the sum of the parts of the PP20 for that. With all that said, it did shoot well enough for someone new to the sport (as I am) to have countinued to use it if they were happy with the negatives, but if they were semi-serious about the sport they'd be upgrading in no time at all I think. I think with a few tweaks, this could be a great entry level pistol.
Thanks Andy, another nice one. Having a small garden, 10m max diagonally (not Diagon Alley!), pistol shooting suits and I picked up an Artemis PP800 at the British Shooting Show last year for a very good price. However, after trying a Weihrauch 100 at the event, my heart is set on saving my pennies for one of those and getting on the range. Decisions, decisions!
The PP800 is the PCP version of my CO2 CP2 I have set up as target pistol, carved wooden CP1 grip and all, but with a red dot because I cannot see straight. Because it is more difficult and because that is more challenging and that is fun. The PP20 is regulated and so is the PP800R Gen2, and so is the CP2 running on CO2 because the vapour pressure remains constant on any given session.
Andy does some great reviews and here he is dipping his toe into a whole world of precision beyond belief (and prices too). Looks like an excellent entry level to this serious sport - but beware of brand snobs here. Shooting well will always win over a high priced gun in the hand of a poor shot!
That looks excellent. As a lapsed target pistol shooter, that looks a fabulous alternative to a. Walther or a Steyr that is second hand and chopped about. All it needs is some scruntineering stickers on the grip 😊
If I were into 10 meter silhouette shooting this would be a very affordable pistol for just such a purpose. Some of these silhouette pistols can get extremely expensive. Pop a regulator in this gun and you may have something really special providing you find the right ammo and tune for optimal accuracy. Good review. Stay blessed.
Not necessarily. On my pistol match pellets are only slightly better than the Webley VMXpell I use for practise. Airguns is pellet fussy, no two the same.
Good video, and a super accurate pistol that looks much more expensive than it is. I know people do not like touch on the subject of hunting with air pistols in the UK, especially when speaking about a 177, but whilst you were out shooting a target and a bit of small game or vermin got in the way of the target, the Snowpeaks superb accuracy at 5.45ftlbs within 10metres, and you were confident with your capabilities, it would work fine at that range and at that power. All the best from Lancashire.
Why not use an Olympic target? This Snowpeak is a Chinese copy of a Olympic match-grade Steyr LP10. I've owned one 10 years ago. Curious to know how it performs by a real competition shooter. At a price of about 1/3 of a Steyr these days, it might be the real thing to buy
I'm still happy with my izh 46m single stroke rh. But... If I ever have some spare money. Maybe a lefty snowpeak... 😉 Great, cheap, one arm pistol practice! 👍👍
Got a bit of a Snowpeak thing going on at the moment I see. While I don't shoot this type of gun myself I can appreciate the time and effort put in by the guy's who do. I do have some pistols, mostly Co2 stuff, but I do have an SMK Victory PP700w with a removeable stock. While I don't use it as a target pistol but more as very short rifle with a red dot I can see and understand the satisfaction that the accuracy of a sorted pistol and shooter can bring. Great vid by the way.
MM nice! for what appers to be a bargain starter 10mtr pistol at a quarter of the opposition price, yes may need a bit of a polish around the edges but for a newbie or the pleasure /club shooter who doesnt want a 1911/Ruger looka like? but a gun that fits the regs. for the odd club 10mtr comp, nice! As for the brand, i beleive Snowpeak have been around for many years and have been on the US market for a long time, i think they also produce guns under other brand names too for other importer distributors,
It looks like these will become available in the States, so I'm paying more attention now. Did we mention that something seems to be happening about the muzzle? At a glance it looks like there's a muzzle brake/air stripper kind of thing and also some perforations in the barrel. These seem like kind of high end features, but it might also just be cosmetic? This also happens. There doesn't seem to be much muzzle flip. It's about a third the price of the thing it's trying to look like, more like the price I'm paying for used match pistols that are thirty years old or more on eBay.
Great review Shame the grip is slightly undersized, considering its sold towards adults. Would be great starter for a junior though Try Geco or R10 pellets
I'd like to see another video testing Match grade pellets such as Meisterkugeln, H&N Finale Match , r10...etc... I tried the Exites through a fwb 300su and a Diana 65 with the extra heavy barrel sleeve bench rested and neither rifle liked them. 3/8's - 1/2" groups at 35 feet.
Interesting. . May I suggest that you consider a series of shots over the chronograph, rather that just providing a speed reference. Consistency is, as we all know, key! Regards Doug

I just bought this air pistol. I like it, but, thre is no way to recharged the PCP tube. The fitting that comes with the air gun is too short; therefore, does not connect properly and there is none to be found online that seem to fit properly. Very strange, but hey, at least I got about 100 shots out of it before it became a paper weight...
It's an ISSF 10m Match air pistol. It should be able to put every shot through the same hole at 10M. Thats what it needs to do if it's going to be capable of winning matches with the top shooters. PS windy conditions wont affect a .177 pellet much at 10M
How about a new review after some us? Friend of mine bought one, standard grip is too small and not adjustable enough. A few sessions of use later it start giving problems, not shooting, leaking air etc. Had to change an o-ring. Solved it but a few shots later started to leak again. Pure rubbish and waste of money. Just my 2 cts.
I hope this pistol had its release date back on the first of April because that thing looks like a joke It might just be my bias towards more classic looking rifles and pistol but I don’t care how good of a pistol that is, I ain’t ever gonna think about buying that

Me too but i'm guessing 400 quid is a "Budget Price" for a fairly decent target pistol these days🎯🔫😁
It is a budget pcp competition pistol. The equivalent Steyr is £2000
100 - 200 Euros doesn't buy a quality target pistol, only a tin can basher!! 🤔
not for me , yes it`s 2 pricey ? i can shoot just as good with my p365 ! ... 😁
Some 10M pistols cost over £2000 so this is a budget pistol compared to true match pistols from Morini, Steyr, Walther and Feinwerkbau.

Regarding the gauge issue, when we want to have resolution at 200bar, the gauge has to have a higher limit than that. We have more precision when filling the tank when reaching the 200bar mark. Also, 200bar is not the maximum the tank can hold, but, not being a knowledgeble person about this particular topic, probably the nominal pressure the gun works at.

I hope this pistol had its release date back on the first of April because that thing looks like a joke
It might just be my bias towards more classic looking rifles and pistol but I don’t care how good of a pistol that is, I ain’t ever gonna think about buying that
I think it may be run what u bring 😅
