  • Air Venturi V10 Match Air Pistol
The .177 caliber V10 Competition Target Pistol is the ideal choice for your entry into 10-meter precision air pistol shooting. The single pump V10 is loaded with features typically found in competition match pistols costing much more. The handsome pneumatic target pistol resembles a semiautomatic rather than the single-shot it is, but it doesn't hurt the wallet like most other top-level match air pistols designed for 10-meter precision shooting.
Constructed with a competition-grade rifled steel barrel, the pistol features an attractive, adjustable walnut grip custom fit for right-handed shooters. There is a large palm shelf on the right side that adjusts comfortably to your hand, a thumb rest on the left, and the robust grip has added stippling for superior control. The V10 includes adjustable sights.
Generating 400 fps, the V10's single-stroke pneumatic power plant is free from recoil and vibration thus enhancing the pistol's accuracy. And since the V10 doesn't require CO2 cartridges or high-pressure tanks for filling, operation is convenient and simple. The lightweight V10 features a metal lower and polymer upper for well-balanced overall weight of less than 2 lbs., making it comfortable to shoot. The V10 features a two-stage adjustable trigger that can be adjusted down to .88 lbs.
In addition to its ease and dependability, the low and consistent velocity of the V10 make it a valuable tool for target practice and training. It's quiet too!

    Love this video.
    I live in the UK.
I am 70 years old and have an Air Arms Alpha Pro.
I would suggest that before you shoot, raise the pistol with your eyes clossed and when on the target, stop open your eyes and see if you are on your aiming point. It you are left or right of the target, move your back foot left or right according to where the sights are.
You will get hooked on this.
    Take care.😊

Fantastic episode! I too have recently purchased a V10 and have gone into the deep end of 10 metre pistol shooting videos. Just like you, it’s so much easier to shoot at home then my rifles. All the thoughts of breathing, sight alignment, trigger control I find very much like meditation. The world just stops and all your concentration is focused on the many steps to making that next shot perfect. Can’t wait for the next video, have an amazing day.

I've had a gammo compact for around 20 years possibly more. It has had one set of seals replaced, but other than that has been completely reliable. A very good budget 10m pistol. It won't get you to the world championships but then neither will a $2500 10m pistol, as most of us are just not that good.

Thanks John for the review. These pistols certainly have plenty of energy to take out sparrows and mice. As a young boy (little more than a toddler) on the farm consistently killed mice and sparrows at 30 feet with a Red Ryder BB rifle. As I became older gave myself a challenge to put meat on the table with the Crosman 1377 pistol. Ate a lot of Rotisserie of Robin and Stir-fry of Sparrow; proved to myself that with a small air gun one could live low on the food chain. I believe the lower you can live on the food chain the greater your chances of survival. Long after the deer and elk are gone, you will still find small birds and rodents. Bon Appetit!!!

About 30yrs ag o the bug bit me. I bought a Daisy 777 pistol, a match grade pistol at that time, and trained for about 3 months. I drove 100 miles to compete in a NRA match. The match consisted of 12 B-50 , 5 shot targets completed in 1 hour. I shot the match with a final score on 463..perfect score would have been 600 points, .that was an average of 38.58 points per target...scoring them using the rings on the target. Now, I was near the bottom score...but I was so pleased because I had improved so much with the air pistol and with my overall shooting ability. Also, it taught me the importance of shooting with both eyes open....that is the only way that I have shot since then. I have never competed again.as I never intended to compete again....the goal I had was to do it once just to show myself that I could and to learn....so, the challenge was met and I was satisfied. Good on you for taking the dive...you will be a better shooter for having done it!!

Great to see a US channel giving some love to 10m air pistol. Lots of folks don't get how addictive this simple to do but HARD to master shooting discipline can be. Definitely work on the grip, looks like you could do with a bit more finger on the trigger. And if you can minimise body and foot movement between shots that will help with consistency. Also, that pellet trap you made is excellent - love the low cost solutions. Look forward to more of you 10m videos.

I have a gamo af10 it's similar action but less knarly profile snd more compact. Was shooting at 35yrds and even at 50 yards at a4 paper. I imagined I was law enforcement/ James bond shooting at an active shooter mansized kill zone. Excellent practice weapon. Lobs it out there a bit but respectable consistency enough to train your gunplay on.

Gamo Compact is a good pistol for the price, nothing more. Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly OK start one's career with this pistol. But anyone who is serious about becoming a competitive 10 m shooter, even at club level, must understand that at some point he or she will outgrow the Compact - it took me a year.
The grip is good, and the gun is light which is good for someone just getting into one handed shooting. Also the sights are tolerable, even if they are plastic The biggest problem is the trigger. While it's good compared with plinking pistols, it just can't be adjusted nearly as well as a trigger of a real competition AP, and there was always some roughness. The final turnoff for me was when I decided to try a DIY trigger job, disassembled the pistol and found that the sear is made of stacked pieces of sheet metal. Sold the Compact for 100€ loss and bought a used Feinwerkbau C25 CO2 gun. Today my main AP is an Anschütz LP-@ PCP. It cost four times more than the Compact, second-hand, but is worth every eurocent.

Yes, those 10 yard tournaments in Asian countries and around the world are very fun to watch, and you should check out their 10 yard slingshot tournaments, as well as their ping pong. My God, that is amazing to watch, as well.

Well, the P17 is a budget friendly option to get started. It would be a fun air pistol to practice with, but I don’t believe you’re gonna win any competitions with it. The trigger in the action are just to budget friendly and not that smooth. For around $250 the V10 has a sweet trigger and is a fun shooter.

Hello Wingman ; have lots of fun, keep everything simple; and above all... Shoot with BOTH EYES OPEN! I bought the Gammo Compact about a year after it's introduction. The Compact has Patridge sights
which allows for classic sub-six hold. In 10 Meter AP competition I scored in the high 530's with one and my adult son scored close to 550(548). If you have to use an occluder over your non-dominant eye,
then OK... it can be as simple as an opaque piece of plastic taped to your cap. I do stress the have lotsa fun. One last suggestion, make live shooting 5-10% and dry fire 80-90% of your practice.
And please do google Keith Sanderson for DRY FIRE technique.
