I bought one of these on ebay with 16GB RAM and a 500GB hard drive (replaced with an SSD, using the HD externally) right after seeing this video. No problems installing Catalina and it's been running GREAT since, and no problems updating thru 10.15.5.
    GREAT tutorial!

I used these at work in combination with the Lenovo Tiny-in-One Monitor, which has a built-in dock on the back for the Tiny. You slide the Tiny into the dock, which connects to the Power, Displayport, and first USB port on the back, and the monitor's power supply powers both the monitor and PC, which really cuts down on cables. It's basically like a thicker iMac, but you can always swap out/replace the PC part of it.
Also, the TIO monitor can work like a regular monitor & USB hub via external ports. So even if your replacement PC isn't a Tiny, you don't have to throw out the monitor.

For info, the two screw holes at the back on the left and right are supposed to be without a screw. They are holes for the mini rack mount accessory. The unit can be added to a small rack to mount a DVD drive on top or other ports on top. The rack lines up with those two screw holes.

Nice build - however would recommend HP8300 USFF (ultra slim form factor) - about the same price. Just a little bit bigger (makes a good monitor stand or has VESA mounts top and bottom, could mount it to wall / monitor to it, etc.) but is enterprise grade, and still mini PC and you get a desktop CPU not a mobile CPU - i3 / i5 / i7 options (just get CPU that has the onboard 4000GPU not 2500). Has mSata SSD AND 2.5" hard drive (and has DVD), AND you can install an apple wifi card in the mini PCIe slot (Broadcom BCM94360 based) and get trouble free iMessage handoff, etc. Has more USB ports and 2 Display ports, DDR3 up to 16GB Ram. Actually a shucked 2.5" oversized HDD (4 or 5TB) fits nicely in the drive caddy - can make a little NAS out of it or Time Machine for all your Macs. I have a 2K monitor, seems to be a sweet spot for it, runs multimonitor well. Also a very easy build (look on TonyMac for a guide) that has been reliable for upgrades, including Catalina. Almost 50% more processing power (and faster single thread speed), but still a power sipper,

It's cool that you can get the whole thing for $100, but I've seen where you can get the mini board for one of those sized PCs. This looks amazing.
Question, does the wifi (if it has antenna) work ?
If not found link for usb one.
Also found link for display port to vga cable.
Can you use HDMI to set up, or do you need to go with VGA ?
Silly question how big does the usb stick need to be.

I just ordered a Lenovo M93p from eBay and setup the Vanilla USB bootloader using an existing Mac (MacMini 2012). However, the USB drive does NOT have an EFI folder. How do I create that and then continue with your instructions? Thanks.

1- Would a Sandisk Extreme Portable 1 TB SSD Drive (External) work as well?
2- Are there any Small Thinkcenter Units that have wifi capability instead of ethernet?

You should use a monitor with a displayport. Then you'll have sound too and maybe you can use screen resolutions that you don't get with a vga adapter

The interesting differences with my particular machine is that there is no serial port config in the bios and it has a wireless card built in. I just don’t know what to do to get it to work.

    Hi Technolli!
I am following Your Suggestion on Building a Tiny M93P Hackintosh, already Bought a BareBones M93P.
    Question:
Since my barebones M93P, comes without a CPU, I was wondering which would be the best and fastest CPU Processor available to Mount w/o compatibility issues with Motherboard.
Should I go with original Processors?
Can I Upgrade to a Newer Procesor, and if so, Which?
Would not want to end up with a M93P that does not Boot because of CPU Incompatibility
    Thanks!!
    Very Much!
    L.

    Excellent video !
I wish I could find one, as a first step into macOS, for a friend.
Sadly, so far, I've only found few i3 (4130T @2,9Ghz).
These should be faster than my own mini hack (NUC i3 @1,8Ghz), yet not as fast as i5, hence a bit less "future proof" .
Didn't watch the entire video so far, so I might get the answer while typing, I was wondering how many cores these i5 have.

Would there be a way to edit Multibeast, (I believe it has Clover Configurator somehow built into it), to make the sound card work? It uses an ALC620 chipset, Haswell, i5 4570 processor.
