I finally got it to work. I think the easiest way to create the usb stick is create it according to the easy version and just copy the EFI folder from the download under the opencore version. It worked so well after I figured that out.

Brilliant explanation - thanks a lot. I noticed, however, that Catalina 10.15.4 has got a few pitfalls in that it throws an error towards the end of preparing the install (it can boot off of the hard drive nevertheless) and once installation is complete, it constantly freezes with a "in memory panic" error. Admittedly, my 3020 is an i3 with 4400 graphics but I used your instructions to load Mojave instead and that runs like a charm - so I gather some recent changes in Catalina are causing problems. While I always prefer the real thing over "hackintoshes", I just wanted to try it out myself and give a spare machine I had lying around a "second life" - and be it only as a dirt cheap digital "VCR" in the basement.

First of all, thanks, your (straightforward) videos inspired me to have a hackintosh :) I bought some cheap Dell Optiplex 3020 Micro and I followed your guidelines.
I managed to install Catalina BUT I have one issue - does your EFI folder support Ethernet / network ? My "network" settings are totally empty and ethernet doesnt work at all. I even tried ifconfig command to see if theres any but nope. Luckily i managed to make wireless TP-Link VN725 working with catalina (Drivers installed) but ... no ethernet :(
Do you have some suggestions ? I'm at this last point - still booting from USB / Clover (EFI) settings, system works (I have sound/ wi-fi / usb, BUT without ethernet). Do I need to adjust something in your EFI.zip ? Help :)
One thing - I saw at bios that my DELL3020M tiny toy ;) is actually a DELL9020M (with I5-4690T, not 4590T). Did it have a different lan ? Do I need a different hmm kext ?
Ok, manage to make it working. IF you buy Dell3020M and in bios you'll see that it's actually 9020M, then Ethernet / LAN is different. You'll need to download kext (IntelMausiEthernet 2.5.0) and put it to other Kext(s) in this EFI / Clover zip. It works :)

they wont. arm is not even close to being able to do the simplest things we can do on x86 and raspberry pi's use extremely cheap arm cpus to sell them for less which is fine for lightweight linux made for arm and not very much so for windows 10 but it is possable but not mac os

thanks for these walkthroughs. I'm wondering if you have encountered usb going out after ~15 minutes or so? I lose both mouse and keyboard on an optiplex 3020 sff, which I think is the model slightly bigger up the chain. i5 4950 with a slim line dvd and room for a lp card or 2.

Not sure what’s causing the issue but your EFI folder causes a kernel panic, I’m on an Optiplex 2030 Micro with the i3-4160T and trying to install Catalina 10.15.5, I used a different persons EFI folder in order to get this to work but it seems they are using a very old version of Clover. Would be nice if I could get a solution from you as I love your channel and tutorials. This is my first time trying to do a Hackintosh.
In this video at the 24min mark you used clover configurator to modify the sdd /efi/clover/config.plist file to turn off verbose boot and generate unique mlb, serialno and uuid values but in other videos i thought i recall you saying that you have to use the opencore tool propertree.command tool for modifying that file even once the install is completed. Did i remember that wrong or misinterpret things?
Yes with Opencore you must use propertree to edit your config.plist, but this system was built with Clover. So we can use clover to edit our serials. Thanks!
hi technolli, I've got a dell 3020 SFF pc, which i very easily hackintoshed using clover and running catalina 15.5. Everything works flawlessly including audio and graphics. I've tried to do an opencore setup but the installation was never successful despite repeated attempts. hope you do 1 such opencore installations on these dell optiplex systems so as to help us all out. thank you.

How to use the clover in Windows? You have to bear in mind that most people won´t have a MAC to start with. So please do a tutorial explaining hoew to do it by just using a Windows machine.

I got everything installed and setup thanks to this video. 2 issues I have:
1. After 5 mins when the PC screen goes blank and is frozen. Only option selected in the Energy settings is the Enable Power Nap is unchecked
2. When I select restart the screen goes into the restart mode but never shows the Dell screen but just blank
Both times I need to force power off and power on again.
Anyone has similar issues?

Great video and channel, thank you. By the way for me it doesn't work. I stricthly followed everything of your guide but nothing... it get stucked at half of the apple logo charging bar. I even tried to update clover to the last version because I read somewhere that the last catalina update has problems with older versions of clvoer (as the one you use), but still nothing. I tried verbose mode but the message at which it get stucked is of no help at all, it was not an error or something not loading. Do you think it could be a problem of a too old bios? I have an old bios in the dell and I saw on dell site there is a 2019 update, but I would like to avoid it since is the intel spectre-meltdown fix and in the end it will decreases performance a little bit while there is no evidence that there really are viruses or serious threath, at least for private pc use, due to spectre meltdown, so I would prefer to stick with the old bios (which by the way I configured in the same way as in your guide). Oh by the way you say that only display port must be used, for me is different, with display port it just get stuck as soon as I press enter, the only way to see the process starting and loading up to half the apple logo bar is through vga, isn't that strange? If you have some minutes to try to help me in your free time, It would be great, if you can't I perfectly understand and thanks anyways :)
I don't have a MAC computer so how can I create a bootable usb using windows 10? I used windows 10 to create USB boot but my optiplex can't install, it just stuck on the boot screen

I have a Dell Optiplex 3050 Micro i7 with integrated video Intel HD 630 I followed the tonymacx86 install guide all when well but my Video and sound are not working I have tried with MultiBeast but still cannot load the correct drivers for the Video still getting 7m as video. Can you help me with how to solve this issue? Just let you know that I have followed your video on how to fix but there is no guide for the Dell in the list. I followed the other video but did not work at all still showing up as 7m for the video. If you can help me that will be good.

@TechNolli, I am a fresh guy to learn hackintosh. I am go to build one with Dell Optiplex 3020 or Lenovo ThinkCenter m93p follow your video. But in my computer market I found HP800 G1 DM is almost the same configuration of HW as Dell Optiplex 3020 and ThinkCenter m93p, but HP800 come with two display ports. I am more interest in buy HP 800 G1 DM for this hackintosh. Do you think that the EFI of Dell 3020 is suitable for that purpose? HP800 is Intel i5 4570T 2.9GMHz with Intel 8 Series Chipset, 8G DDR3 and Intel HD4600 Display.

TechNolli exactly the same technolli, I followed all the steps but to no avail. I ended up using the efi file I created for the m93p and had to change the audio and Ethernet drivers for the Realtek ones as it seems the 3020micro has a Realtek card. Right now everything seems to work except sleep and some graphical glitches with certain apps. When I opened your efi file I think the config.plist is not the same as in the video man. Anyways thank you and if you have any updates on this let me know. iMessage also doesn’t work

It works for the most part, but the onboard DP does not work. I have an AMD graphics card which kind of works but there is no audio from the dp. Do you have any ideas?

Thank you for the prompt response and for sharing your knowledge. Using the display port l saw that resolution in the screen resolution list.
In one of the article on tonymacx86, there is a way to get 4K display but it involves firmware modification which may cause permanent damage.
From your video on 3040, I’ve bought the gpu asus got 710. Is there a way to set the 4K resolution?

This doesn't work. I get as far as IOUSDHost Interface matching deferred then it crashs. So sad...
actually got OSX loaded but two things made me roll back to W10 - 1) the audio output was v.strange from 9020m from front headphone jack. Quality was terrible and couldnt really see any obvious way of fixing this and 2) Facetime, iMessages was broken and again was painful to try and resolve. In the end, pretty dissapointing but interesting.
