Rickles used to like to bring up his movie Run Silent, Run Deep (1958) with Clark Gable. Gable was known as the King of Hollywood. So, it was kind of comical - “Me and Clark Gable.”
Rickles didn’t do a lot of movies, but he was also quite good in the Martin Scorsese's Casino (1995) with Robert De Niro.
Another fun movie Don was in - Carl Reiner's Enter Laughing (1967). Not known as an actor, that’s still a great resume besides being a comedian!

"To a New Yorker like you, a hero is some sort of weird sandwich, not some nut that takes on three tigers!" Donald Sutherland's 'Oddball' absolutely stole every scene along with Carroll O'Connor as the general.

Kelly's was my first intro to Rickles. For a while it was all I knew him for really. Then someone linked me a Martin roast for my birthday and well, rest is history.

I wonder at the part where Don Rickles gets all serious and talks of Clint Eastwoods career being a shambles and going from alter to alter? Does he mean Clints career or personal life?

Let's not forget Rickles' sad-sack loser character on an episode of the Andy Griffith Show ('The Luck of Newton Monroe').
