Don Rickles outlived all of his contemporaries making it to 90 yrs old. He performs his act right up to the very end. He was before my time and I discovered him thanks to RUclips a couple of yrs before his death. Since then I have watched many of his acts on RUclips and laugh every time.

This is REAL comfort food for the soul! As a kid living in Lancaster, PA the news came on at 11 pm. Then at 11:30 The Tonight Show. Of course, I needed to get to bed, but I always remember sneaking a few minutes with Johnny Carson. Fond memories. But kudos to all who have commented. As I watch this, tears are running down my face. So DAMN funny! True comedy genius. I doubt that there will ever be another Johnny Carson.
This is priceless comedy money can't buy. Don Rickles was a class act comedian and Johnny Carson was hilarious also. It was a good time in life and I am blessed that I lived it.
It’s kind of funny when we watch or hear something that brings back fond memories, we say ah the world was a better place. We choose to forget all the terrible things that were going on at the time. That’s why we had TV shows to help us forget and I guess it works.
I have also seen most of the Rickles on Carson videos. I'm just amazed at how sharp and funny Rickles is. The man was a comic genius. I also didn't know Carson could be so funny. Him and Rickles were an unofficial comedy team.
When I have a bad day I just get back here to watch Rickles and Carson telling stories and cracking jokes at each other. I could hear this guys all day long.
One thing about so many greats from that generation is that they all served in the military for WWII. They have an edge and character that just can't be replicated today.

I watch it again in 2019 and I´m actually angry. Angry that this is the past that won´t come back. Angry that I didn´t enjoy these shows enough while I could. Angry that there is nothing today that comes even a little bit close to this kind of entertainment or characters or class in general in this world of ours.
