  • Experiencing relationship burnout can manifest in various ways, including emotional exhaustion, increased cynicism, a lack of connection, frequent arguments, and diminished intimacy. However, it's important to note that this doesn't necessarily spell the end of the relationship. By identifying the root causes, communicating openly, rekindling the spark through quality time and shared activities, and seeking professional guidance if needed, couples can work towards recovering from burnout and rebuilding a healthier, more fulfilling partnership.

Thank you because this makes a lot of sense cuz I spent 24 years with my ex-husband and he has a Asperger's and I tried and I tried and he still wanted a divorce and this makes a lot of sense to me because there was a lot of things that he used to do to drive me up the wall but I couldn't say anything and I drove him up a wall and he really didn't say anything my suggestion to people is talk about it

Do people with BDP feel more needy for connection?
I think the only downside in my relationship is I find my partner emotionally unapproachable because he finds emotional communication exhausting like it says at the beginning of the video and I'm not sure whether he's too contained and low energy whereas I like chatting and connecting a lot...

It's common for individuals with BDP to seek more connection due to their emotional needs.

Same here. If im single, I can manage my BPD, but relationships destabilize me to no end.

Yes but it is so sad😢
Why should we be condamned to loneliness and a life without romance?
I am 37, spent most of my life alone( with my beloved dog❤gone too early😢), I had few chaotic serious relationships( 1 or 2), and a lot of hook ups with strangers while being drunk and not even knowing what I was doing..
So pretty sh*tty.. same goes with friendship, I had pushed most people away..or they have ghosted me because of my splitting, or desperate need to make friends..
So I wake up alone, spend the day by myself, then go home, where there is no one but me.. eat alone, go to sleep alone..
      And this is everyday.
It is too sad, I dont think I can live such an existence, i am craving for human's contact😢
Since my bpd/cptsd's brain doesnt allow me to connect properly with my cogeners, even if I try my best, I know it is probably never gonna happen anymore( I cant "hook up" anymore, neither I can imagine myself in a romantic relationship, nor I am able to make friends anymore.
How are we supposed to live like this???
      We are hyper-social primates:
Loneliness and isolation are pure torture.
