One thing people miss quite often:
There's not just the pike. In fact, the light pike in TCW and the foldable double-bladed lightsaber in Rebels are two completley different things. And if you look closley you can also see a single-bladed saber in this temple guard style. We don't exactly know why the guard used different types of light weapons but we know that they did.
So, du sum up:
No, a temple guards weapon has not to be a light pike.
In fact, the little differences in design show that the legacy lightsaber on Batuu is based of the double lightsaber from Rebels. But I have to admit, the differences are really minor, so if you get the larger (not foldable one!) connector peace along with two short blades, I guess you can still call this a quite solid replica of the light pike.
Not only that but in a canon comic, it's also the lightsaber of Luke Skywalker in between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Not a lightsaber pike or any other form but Luke Skywalker uses that one as it is
There’s a newer comic series that takes place after ESB but before RoTJ where he uses a Temple Guard lightsaber temporarily since he hadn’t built his green one yet. It was a single bladed saber just like this. So even if they don’t outright state it, I think the reason this is a single blade with no connector is because of that comic series that came out close to the same time.

Man I would love to get two of these with a folding connector. That button though is worrisome.
Try hot gluing a button or anything like that and just paint it red, not to noticible
i just got the lightsaber and the button really isnt that loose, it is easy to turn it on or off but its made out of metal and as long as your carful with it should be fine.
This place is gonna eat through my wallet before the leather needed to make it is even tanned

I have to say, I really love the sounds that come with this one. I’m also surprised that they didn’t add a connector piece to let you make the lightsaber pike, but it’s no biggie now that fans are making the connectors for their fellow fans. :) I have to say, the sounds between this one and the yellow kyber crystal sound almost identical to me. As for that button, that kind of worries me. I don’t fight with these (as they’re pretty expensive to replace if you break them XD), but I do see that button having the potential to fall off over time. I do still really like this one. :) How much do the blades typically cost?

By far the best and most geek saber they made! That’s how you know a lot of people aren’t huge fans! Because this thing is so sacred and a must for any real fan.
I like the one you made the sound is much better. but I think it makes a good display peace. I would spend the $ 200.00 and get a better lightsaber. but that just me.

thanks Alan and your right I seen some that I like. and there some I was like no thanks. and also believe that if you go and make your own lightsaber your going to love it the most. but you are right I seen a video of darker Vader's lightsaber I was like wow that is so cool.
I do love the cases all the Legacy lightsabers come in. Sort of wish they sold them seperatly as I'd love just one of the cases for my Savi's lightsaber.
The designs look nice, but the hilts seem unnecessarily thick. Many independent saber companies use 1.25in hilts and can easily fit all the electronics in there.
Almost tempted to get two and the coupler that doesn’t fold. The one that folds looks nicer but it raises some concerns if it not locking into place. Besides the one that doesn’t fold I can customize, like putting a grip on it. By the way new to the channel and love the videos they are very informative.
Thank you BTW someone sent me funds to pick up 2 sabers with the 26inch blades and I will be buying the foldable one to review

Okay Disney let me get this straight. You can have Ventresses light sabers connect only cause it's happened once or twice. But you can't have the piece to connect both sabers for the temple gaurds? Wow. 2 stars if you ask me. That's literally what they are known for, like a waste of $110 if you ask me.
How did you get the yellow lightsaber at Savi's?, could you get it while building the lightsaber or it's mandatory to build it with the common colors?
You can only pick between Red, Blue, Green, and Purple at Savi’s. White, Yellow, and Black (technically red) are purchasable at Dok-Ondar’s I believe.
(Obviously Red/Green/Blue/Purple kyber are available for purchase too.)
This saber does not only deserve a connector peace, but a hinged/folding one specifically!!!

So when Galaxy's Edge opens in Florida will they start off by doing reservations? Hope they do want to get in there day one before stuff goes out of stock. Plan on spending 2k to 2500 and hope there is product in stock.
The button on mine is exactly the same. Loose and extremely sensitive. Other than that, this is my favorite legacy saber.

Anakin was the one that built the saber. i would say the person who built the saber is who should have ownership at least in the name. it should always be refereed to as his saber no matter who wields it because he was the one who built it.
Quite question can you connect the hilts if you use the maul connector? And right now gonna watch you savi saber staff connection one.
Last time I went to Galaxy’s Edge I didn’t check but you may know, is there a way to get a short blade? Like a 16” or a 24” instead of a 36”?
they sell the I think it's a 24/26 inch blade as the smallest

they were pretty sold out just a week or two ago. The shop works dont seem to have updates either. They usually say " oh we are just wanting for the Falcon to bring more shipments into Batuu." We have a review posted on our channel too comparing a really $$$ custom anakin vs the Legacy Obiwan. Check it out!

To be honest, I have no interest in this saber due to the simple design and sensitivity of the button. I’d rather have this used by Tommy _(Jason David Frank)_ matching his Tigerzord suit colors and vest in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
