Rain puts me to sleep, most people use it for sleeping because of how calming it is and after that associate it for sleeping in there brain, so I guess your lucky enough not to feel sleepy 😴☺️
I’m using this to study for finals, it really is a great sound and helps me focus too even with all the stress!
Best one I've found so far, most of the other ones are either too heavily rainy or have way to much of the hissing sounds, this one barely has any hissing and is just the right amount of rain :)

If you still have issues with PTSD, you might try EFT tapping. It's free and easy. Not saying it's a substitute for therapy, but no harm in trying it. Find a video here on youtube that matches the subject, tap where the person taps and repeat the phrases. Repeat process as much as you want. Some people see fast results, some take longer. I worked in a chiropractic clinic a few years back and one of our patients was a former chiropractor who decided to help veterans suffering from PTSD by guiding them with EFT tapping. He said guided works better, but free is better than nothing if you're not going to look for someone who will customize tapping sessions for you personally. Up to you, of course. And you may not even see this, since your comment was 2 years ago.
I like Brad Yates, he probably has hundreds of videos on all different subjects and gives plenty of time to repeat phrases.

Having a sound drown out unexpected sounds DOES help for deeper sleep!! :)There is white noise, pink noise, grey and brown noise! But any sound like rain, or a tv, would serve a similar purpose!

I'm so sorry for your loss. My mom died unexpectedly 2 months ago from a preventable health cause that was undetected. I have trouble sleeping and wake up after a few hours panicked, with ruminating thoughts, and dry heaving. It's thankfully starting to lessen. Hey guys, I just wanted to stop by to send some positive energy to all of you! These past years been very tough to me. Ive been challenged mentally, emotionally and certainly spiritually. I feel like i’m finally finding myself and who I was once before when I had peace. I am thankful to come across a channel like this one that shows me that we are really all one in the same. We all have these daily struggles that we deal with that can keep us up late at night but just know that you are not alone. Knowing that I can come here and openly express myself and see others doing the same gives me hope that the world will indeed be a better place but it starts with us. I love it when it is 2.00 am, I can't sleep. I search for calming sleep video but first two really loud ads run and wake everyone else and certainly don't help me relax. Hopefully, the video will calm me back down.
