Thank you so much for this information. I was baptised in my 30s and am now 67 and have a few days ago disassociated from Jehovahs Witnesses. This has taken me a couple of years to do, as over the years It became more apparent that the organisation was not Gods channel. I can only believe in Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ. I hung on because I have one son and grandchildren and I knew I would lose them. Sure enough I am now told I am an apostate by my son, I am totally shunned within the same day of my friends and family learning I had disassociated. Although I knew this would happen, it’s incredibly raw and I’m in despair. This will pass I hope,as how can I live a lie and believe in an organisation in the place where Jesus should be. Your video came at the right moment for me, so thank you so much, and as I live in the UK would only wish there was a group of like minded Christian’s I could worship with. I will keep looking. Thank you for your other videos as well, I am slowly working my way through them.
@sukizoe123 I applaud your decision. I know it’s very hard to lose contact with friends and even worse with family members. To be misjudged so harshly. They will come a time when they will regret what they are doing. I think that time is fast approaching, because the organization is failing and desperately trying to hold onto power by making changes to its policies, changes, which will only look bad to anyone with half a brain, recognizing that the changes have nothing to do with new light from God, but rather with political expediency.
There are many waking up at the moment in the United Kingdom. So many that we are looking forward to a visit this summer. We are hoping to get together with many if we can secure an Airbnb place big enough to how is everyone. We have done that here in the United States in Canada, and found the experience to be very encouraging and memorable.
In the meantime, I invite you to attend one of our online Bible studies. We read from the Bible and open the floor to comments. It’s very informal, but I find that there is rarely a meeting in which I don’t learn a number of things because of the research done by so many.

As a JW... X is suppose, I have to give you great respect for the dignified manor in which you proceed. There are many blatant openings for degradation that I expect to hear in a cliché manor but you surpass that and maintain a very respectful and Christ like demeanor.
I always like to hear both sides of the story. I have been stopped on a few occasions and chastised by fellow witnesses that "we are warned not to listen to 'apostates'" That always left me with a strange feeling I can't quite put a finger on.
So thank you for this well researched, presented and worded information.
I had always "believed in" and observed the "don't listen to apostates" rule, too. In fact, for the rank and file, we weren't supposed to listen to any Bible commentary either. It would "confuse us". :) The fellow witnesses who chastised you will have passed along to the elders your heresy by now. And you'll soon have a great story to tell us of how your nearest and dearest friends fired you from your job and took back the company car you'd been driving, told your wife to divorce you, raised your rent, and quit giving your child piano lessons. Okay, maybe not "everything" I mentioned. Whether you are calmly investigating or mad as a hornet, your life has been fraudently taken from you.
If so much "intellectual capacity" and critical thinking skills are required to understand ...indeed to decipher the Bible then it is certainly not a book for all mankind - only for the intellectually enlightened. There could have been so many ways that an Almighty God could have revealed His mind and will to all of mankind.

I second that. How ridiculous for us to be expected to believe that this ‘riddle wrapped around a mystery’ full of symbolic, minor and major fulfillment would be how our Creator would deliver his instruction to his people. The Israelites saw God’s miracles directly whilst going through the process of being freed from slavery from Egypt but many still rebelled before reaching the ‘promised land’ so it’s not as if humans need nonsensical, vague reasoning to prove their faith some how as the GB would suggest. Surely if the JW religious doctrines were true the Bible writings would be a lot clearer to vilify their interpretation. Would God really feed his earthly mouth piece with misinformation? 1914/1975 etc. They claim to not be inspired but the membership has to follow their direction unequivocally because they are being used as God’s earthly mouthpiece. A complete contradiction which is now being clearly exposed by social media.

I've been watching your videos for some time now but never have I publicly commented. Last night I began a new devotional book chapter which ended with a personal question; "What do I need God to speak to me about"? My answer was this: Am I doing this for this right reason? I currently attend the Sunday morning K.H. meeting with my aging parents though it brings me no spiritual joy or growth. Is this what HE wants from me to support them in their elderly years? If so, I will happily do so. If not, I need help understanding what is and is not required of me. I am their only living daughter so the load is not light. When my sister was killed, I raised her 3 daughters and they raised her son. I supported all 4 however along with my only child and 2 of my neighbors children who were abandoned after a hurricane. I've been a divorced mom most of my life and never felt a part of the "congregation". The so-called "brotherly love", well, I guess I was absent the day they poured that out. Still, I do and would continue to do so, suck it up, if that is what HE wants me to do for the sake of my parents in their elderly years. They have been through so much with my sister's death (she was killed and DFed @ the time).
I listen to you and the clarity you bring to your talks is just so comforting. I have questioned the doctrines of the Organization for years suffering in silence so as not to hurt my family.
I'm not asking You to tell me what to do. I know that HE will guide me because HE is the rewarder of those diligently seeking HIM. Hebrews 11:6.

I remember that in 2003 I studied the history of the 1914 war, making research on serious publications on the web wrote by historians. And I realized that whole Europe was preparing for this war since 1870! A newspaper said that Europe was sitting on a powder keg.
And I put that in parallel with what the Society said. That this war was supposed to be unforeseen, took everybody by surprise, that the world had changed that year, etc. And I came to the conclusion that it was surely an American point of view. Because for an American living thousands of miles away, who was not aware of what was happening, it could be unexpected, but certainly not for a European. The French, for example, waited for the slightest excuse to wage war against the Germans and to avenge the defeat of 1870. It is enough to read even the novels written at the time. We immediately note a hatred of Germany. German characters are always bad people. See Jules Vernes, for example, but not only him. This is also reflected in the newspapers. The moto was 'we don't talk about it, but we do not forget'.
So, 1914, for a historian, is not a border between a world of peace and a world war, it is only the continuity and the consequence of what existed before.

I think it is interesting that John never sees the 144,000 in Revelation 7, but only hears the number of those who are sealed. Immediately following that however, he does see the great crowd. Something to ponder, perhaps.
Interesting indeed. Perhaps a clue to their identity. John does see them however in his continuing vision . He reports more details in Revelation 14.
However the great crowd are in heaven in Revelation 7 and 19:1. Incidentally there is not a scripture in Revelation saying that the 144’000 are Kings and Priests.
No, they are not identified as kings or priests but is there mention of the 144,000 anywhere else in the Bible?
Yes, they are seen in Rev.14 and then in Rev. 19 the sound of a great crowd is heard. So John hears first one, then sees the other and subsequently sees the one and hears the other. Initially they are juxtaposed, later they are separated. One of the principles of biblical hermeneutics is that the introduction of a concept and its context is critical to a correct interpretation. Rather like the first reference to the' last days' in scripture (Gen 49.1) intimately connects it to the nation of Israel and subsequent references only reinforce that. The two terms '144,000 'and 'great crowd' are interchangeable, synonymous of the one group. The one flock under the one shepherd with the one hope; eternal life in the spirit. One is a symbolic descriptor, the other a literal one.
Well done! For me it's the story of Nebuchadnezzar in Dan ch 4, where in the end he praises the MOST HIGH GOD Jehovah/Yahweh, after he is restored to his reasonable mind and kingship.
Obviously, the 7 times had passed OVER him was completed.
Q: Was King Neb present in 1914 CE?
A: If he was, he would have to have been 2,520 years older than he was when the interpretation of the prophecy was given to him.
I have never seen a 2,520+ year old person. Have you?
Therefore, since King Nebu was not present in 1914 CE, so all claims of that year and the claims of the year 1919 CE, never happened.
Except that the 7 times pass OVER King Nebu, could he then praise Jah/Yah, the MHG.
The prophecy was completed as originally stated. To add a secondary fulfillment to the prophecy is clearly going beyond what the scriptures say.
No repeats in the prophecies of Noah, Jonah, Jeremiah, Zedekiah, or Daniel.
Now, since all claims for 1914 CE,1919 CE, and 2,520 year misinterpretation are debunked, let's move on to 537 BCE.
All parties agree.
The Romans destroyed the second temple in 70 AD, after dethroning the Persians.
The Persians, under Cyrus, dethroned the Babylonians in 539 BCE.
This confirms that Jah/Yah word is true, because he said he would bring Babylon into account the 70 year prophecy of Jeremiah.
Adding 70 years back to 539, we get 609, not 607.
Therefore, 537 fails. That leaves 607 BCE.
If Nebuchadnezzar regnal year is 625, or 628, BCE, then you have to back up all the kingships of Babylon, Israel, Judah, Assyria, Egypt and Persia to confirm the history previously given.
Or, we could turn to the meticulous documentation of Babylonians' cunieform tablets. Cunie meaning wedge and form meaning shape, by use of etymology, gives us the word cunieform.
Each cunieform leaves absolutely no room to adjust forward, or backwards, in dating the everyday affairs of life in Babylon.
From the lining up of constellations, which would take 1000s of years to repeat and business affairs, such as contracts, all are listed by the year the reigning king.
Two methods are used to determine the accession years or non-accession years, depending on how the kingship was transitioned.
All records bear that Nebuchadnezzar began to reign in 605 BCE and attacked Judah in his 18th year.
Subtracting 18 from 605, leaves us with 587 BCE.
Therefore, just as 537 BCE, 1914 CE, 1919 CE, and the misapplication of day-to-year principle to get 2,520 years all failed. The year 607 BCE fails as well.
See VAT 4596 and btw, VAT is not an abbreviation for Vatican.
The story of Nebuchadnezzar thus cleanly and clearly, demonstrates that 587 BCE is the best date to determine when Jersulam fell.
How do we know for sure?

Cause we realize the truth about Christian freedom but still know there is no Trinity, hellfire or immortality of the soul. (Although Jesus is definitely divine - which the WT used to teach!). I did research on the CD-Rom on it, and they majorly flip-flopped!
In the w84 9/1 article “We worship What We Know” they say:
“Jehovah’s Witnesses do not deny Jesus’ Godship, or divinity.”
But in the w92 1/15 article “What Do the Scriptures Say About the Divinity of Christ?” they completely contradict themselves and state categorically:
“Clearly, therefore, the Scriptures do not support the idea of ‘the divinity of Christ.’”
Unbelievable!!! I never noticed that or I probably would have woken up a lot earlier than I did!!!
SoH That’s part of the problem our teachings are becoming so complicated that hardly no one can keep track of what we currently believe. Only reason to stay sane is to stick to the Bible only as the authority and only obey religious leaders (be it the pope, Gb of Jehovahs Witnesses or my grandma) if what they say can be shown from the Bible to be true

Somthing to think on in Mathew 24:15 Jesus pointed to the prophet Daniel in chapter 12,he said when we see the descusting thing that causes desolation to flee, this is why the governing body never studied Daniel 12 and the 1335 day .
Mathew 24 is the 1335 days . We have the preaching 1260 then the descusting thing . Then Jesus comes in the clouds to resurect and take to heaven, and don't forget Jesus pointed us to that prophesy so who can deny it.
So if we had seen this , we would know the governing body and the 1914 and 1919 Are false teachings.

As mentioned in the video, Malachi 3:1-4 speaks of a messenger sent _to God's people_ before the "great and awe-inspiring day of Jehovah." He is also mentioned in 4:5 where he is called "Elijah." Jesus Christ foretold that this Elijah would restore all things (Bible truths etc.). You can see some of his work on his channel. It is called "Electric Earth." Be sure to read all the comments he posted under his video that reveals the true identity of Babylon the Great.
I better believe what Jesus personaly said in Mathew 28:18 ( ASV) than any personal interpretation about when was Jesus anointed as king. It was in that time, not in 1914!

I think all groups 'examined' with a view to be 'used' back in the post 1918 period, would have ALL had flaws, all been in the mud. IF Christ had looked for a group to use back then, then he would have had to start somewhere with someone/group; each had big failings, short-comings, doctrinally etc. If he had have 'chosen' one of the other groups, and not Russell, I think both you and the others we see (on youtube for example and elsewhere) would be giving the same talk today about that group; because lets face it, no man, no group in this system could ever meet divine favour completely, until Christ completes the Divine Will. I mean, look how bad the nation that was divinely chosen by God, failed. These are only my thoughts in trying to consider a potential for a given situation; its most certainly not as a means to prove watchtowers claims.
I agree. The whole premise that Jesus was trying to pick out "a group" or "religious denomination" is wrong headed. But if you're trying to rule or govern over a people in the name of Jesus, or Jehovah, you need to find some justification for the power grab. :)

Hello Eric, If as watchtower states, Christ came in to power October 1914, but the first war broke out in August, two months prior, is this seeming problem possibly explained by the position the devil (position as in posture) had taken, in anticipation or this 'birth', as mentioned in Revelation 12:4? It seems to describe his taking a threatening, waiting to pounce position *before* the main events of the 'childs birth' took place - 'The dragon *stood in front of the woman* who was *about* to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born...' Could this not account for the seeming miscalculation?
Good question. If we assume 1914 is the year, then we have to try to make the events on the earth fit with that understanding. Let's try a different tack. What if the events described in Rev. 12 occurred from the first century onward. What if, following the death of Jesus, Michael and his angels battled with Satan? What if the "spirits in prison" that Jesus preached to following his resurrection were the demons imprisoned on earth following their ouster from heaven? (1 Pe 3:19) What if the dark ages were the result of the Devil's anger? I'm just trying to find something that fits all the features of Rev. 12 without jumping through hoops.
I understand your reasoning, Eric; but surely, we can then apply that 'make it fit' logic to so many other things we have put our faith in to from the scriptures? 'What if' could be used for so many other Biblical points. My suggestion is not to prove 1914 or anything watchtower has hinged on this central point for them; but, as a response to arguments against such things, as a potential explanation. This isnt mere eisegesis, but a Biblical response that I see no one mention in response to the October/August conundrum.
I think that we first have to establish that 1914 is the year that Christ was installed as King. If we can prove that, then we can look around for evidence of the last days and for Satan's anger-inspired woes for the earth.
I'm going to be doing that in the next video.
However, if we find no scriptural evidence for 1914, then the whole discussion surrounding the post-1914 woes becomes moot.

It doesn’t take much to find on the internet that this is the pagan symbol, the Egyptian symbol, of the sun god Horus” However, James Penton who also was once one of JWs, in book Apocalypse Delayed: The Story of Jehovah's Witnesses, Third Edition states “The first claim is based almost entirely on his use of certain symbols such as the winged disk that appeared on copies of Studies in the Scriptures….But instead of being drawn from Egyptian paganism as has been asserted by Russell's adversaries, the winged disks simply represented "the sun of righteousness" that would "arise with healing in his wings" according to Malachi 4: 2.”p.64 Most people like yourself are wrong when they make this comment with respect to the Finished Mystery cover book.
Let me put it this way, if I were to put a swastika on my webpage and claim it has nothing to do with Nazis, but that it was an ancient symbol for the cross of Christ, would that be a smart thing to do? Would I be wise in doing something like that? Would I be sending the right message? If I was accused of being a Nazi sympathizer, would most people buy my explanation, even if it were true? Or would they just think I am being self-serving and trying to cover my backside?

And using your own logic, we might has well throw the bible out the window since it's used also by the occult, your logic just doesn't follow.
@@BeroeanPickets Another example we can use are those bible students that you referenced in your video, and some still have the the cross and crown motif that appeared in Watch Tower literature, and some view it as a symbol of Freesmasons, but the fact of the matter it's based on James 1:12 "Happy is the man who keeps on enduring trial,+ because on becoming approved he will receive the crown of life,+ which Jehovah* promised to those who continue loving Him". Just because others are naive on what the symbols represent it doesn't make the bible students endorsing the pagan view. Some view the name Jesus, in Greek ee-ay-SOOS, is pagan because they THINK it contains the Greek pagan god Zeus in it. But it doesn't stem from the Greek, it stems from the Hebrew Joshua, that's the same logic that you're presenting with the Finished Mystery book.

You are a scholar in the JW material but the use of natural material may be best utilized to prove your point.

Courtney, a year ago, when I first allowed myself to view religious videos that were NOT made by JW.org, the Meleti Vivlon videos were the only ones that I felt I could trust. He has good reason for his choices in themes, Bibles, and terminology.
I prefer to call God, my Father, my Heavenly Father or Father. That’s what Jesus always called him. Jesus never said his name. Also God said his name is “I Am”. I believe that the name Jehovah is another name for Satan.
YHWH is found thousands of times in the OT, so to claim it is a name for Satan conflicts with what the Bible itself shows. We can quibble about pronounciations--I prefer Yehowah--but that is more of an academic argument than a scriptural one. "I AM" is a translation of YHWH, but only one possible translation.

Jesus didn't use his name in prayer and when talking with his disciples, because a son does not refer to his father by name. That doesn't mean the father has no name. You continue to assert that Jehovah is a name for Satan, Baal, whatever. Where's the proof?

As far as proof the only thing I can think of is when the Israelites left Egypt and Babylon they were worshipping foreign gods mixed in with their God. Even king Salomon worshipped foreign gods. Also didn’t king Manasseh sacrifice his children to Baal? This shows that pure worship was corrupt from the beginning. That’s why Jesus said to the Jewish leaders you are from your father the Devi.

Paul, I call this "fun with numbers". It's easy to make many specious connections when playing with numbers. For instance, 607 is not the year the Jews went into exile so that blows 1948 out of the water.
