I was raised a Witness & I left as an adult during my mid 20s . I couldnt find the words but I KNEW something was wrong , I could never find the words to communicate it to my HIGHLY indoctrinated mother nor any valid unbiased information to present to her. Mark, just get back to the basics. Read the bible as a child praying to God that he takes away all your preconceived indoctrinations and his spirit guid your thoughts to read his word as HE intended and whatever the actual truth is, so be it. Call on Jesus. I know that felt so wrong to me at first coming out the org, but its right there in scripture that the apostles and first century Christians were calling on Christ. What better way to show our faith in Christ by speaking to him? Once you do this you will feel like a weight has been lifted and you become free, free in Christ exactly as he said all who believe in him would be. I remember the fist time I called on Jesus and asked him for help/guidance and acknowledging him as my Lord and King, I cried like a baby but I felt SO much better and at ease. I also stopped using the name Jehovah in prayer to God but call him my Father exactly like Jesus did and taught us to do. We all still have time to get out of our indoctrinated thinking but we ALL need Gods help in doing so which he gives by/through his son. Ask him daily for this.

Spot on brother that's one reason I removed myself from the organization, there was hardly anything said about Jesus in their Watchtower study article's, all their was at the meetings were all about Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah the faithful slave, the GB. the most upsetting thing that effective me the most that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ didn't even appear on the 2017 memorial invitation. If that wasn't bad enough when I went to the memorial, the opening song went something like this " They Love You Jehovah." it was a song about the anointed, why should I sing a song about them loving Jehovah, how do I know that they love Jehovah so I chose to sing " We Love You Jehovah." and I didn't care who heard me, I wasn't going to sing praises about them, they get enough praises more than Jesus I think. I told myself that I wouldn't be going back to the memorial's anymore, they couldn't even sing a song about Jesus, matter of fact I don't think there is a song about Jesus in their song book.

another example. I asked a question to a elder. I pointed out in an article where it said we must keep our eyes focused on Jehovah. I asked why would these anointed men directed by Jehovah and Jesus instruct us contrary to the inspired apostle Paul who was inspired by the Holy Spirit to keep our eyes focused on Jesus Heb 12:2 instead of answering the question. they asked me if I believed in the faithful slave? I said I believe in God's word. the slave is supposed to be in harmony with the word. if not, then it is false. they walked away and by the time I got home a received a phone call from a elder to meet with me.never gave them the chance. they know my stance
that's is correct. once I reached out to a brother who was highly viewed as intelligent. I questioned him on some questions. (many will talk to me cause they assume im still in the org. so the questioning is what gets them. either way everything this brother brought up, I was able to bring sound doctrine and proof. when I one day sent him by fax. he responded no other way but to say cause he could not refute it. he stated to me. "I never saw so much proof against the slave. but I am happy where I am." and then he said "you will stand alone" I responded as a newly appointed elder you should know that I will never stand alone, because Jesus said I will never leave you. and he never spoke to me again.
mbt of nj ‘...happy where I am’. My sister said the exact same thing to me when I tried to make the same point. She doesn’t speak with me either now. I think the term ‘happy where I am’, is simply another way of saying that they are to scared to look under the veil because what they might find . Many have invested a life-time of belief in the watchtower and as such, will inevitably go down with it because they fear truth. Not because truth is fearsome, but because it will require change, humility, and the strength to stand up and say they were wrong.
mark, my problem is that we state all the time that we are LOVERS OF THE TRUTH. I read and learned in the truth book in 1974. it seemed we pride ourselves on truth. as a former catholic before I became a JW. there was no research amongst members. the JW were the first time I ever saw people examine and live by the bible. in time I knew they were not perfect, but it seemed to be the striving for truth. but once I saw JW facts it made it very clear of what was said and what was done and so on. I could not ignore the facts. the problem is that the truth is right in front of us all along. we just didn't see it. but to hate people and deem them mental etc for not believing the same as them is acting the same way people acted toward me when I became a JW. peer pressure never affected me. if family wants to shun me its up to them. but I have so much documents I rather you say your happy where you are then to make excuses. people like the fellowship. the wont know what to do. I was a member of the canarsie cong in bklyn in the 80's this was the cong where the talk all over the world was about. women wore pants, we used the good news bible (bogus) but it was the warmest cong I ever been to. this is where ED Dunlop attented. the JW leadership came in and cleaned house. got rid of all the elders, about 150 people left out of 300. and the people had small groups of study but dispanded, it was a sad time

i totally agree with you sir, i do belief there's true and false teaching but there's no true religion since all religion are ultimately led by men and no matter how good intended some of their teachings might be it will eventually get corrupted with unscriptural dogma.
My parents became Witnesses in 74 or 75. I was baptized in the 80s. My father was a bibliophile and when he became a witness he started collecting old watchtower publications and I loved to read them. I remember this book and message. Even in the 80s and 90s, when I was active, this was still a message I heard because in 1990 people born in 1914 or 1925 were still alive. We came in right during the 1975 debacle and looking back the damage control had already started. The people that left then were blamed because they shouldn't have tried to guess the date and the organization never foretold it" My path away from the organization also led me away from God and religion and even though I am not a believer I have immense respect for you and your message. I have always believed any truth has to stand up to scrutiny and light. Ironically, I learned this as a witness because we were constantly told how false religion hid what they were doing in darkness and that's how we knew we were in "The Truth"

Jesus told his disciples they would receive Holy Spirit and they shall be his witnesses in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remitest part of the earth. Acts1:8. He's the One who who took away the sins of the world, buying us and paying the price with his blood. Colossians1:20. Ehphesians1:7. Hebrews9:14. 1John1:7. Hebrews13:12. It's always been about the Christ.....from the beginning to the finale. Scripture clearly tells us that Yeshua is the mediator of a new covenant. Heb9:15. Heb12:24. 1Tim2:5. And mediator between men & God. 1Tim2:5. Yet looking at that magazine picture from the WTBTS we can see no Yeshua and only images of their gb as they're making THEIR way to heaven as the gb is JW's mediator and not Yeshua which I'm sure quite a few JW's would be surprised to know that Yeshua is NOT their mediator. Even as they're getting higher up to heaven the chairs they're sitting in has gotten more sumptuously plush. The 'subliminals' in that picture in their magazine speaks volumes about the WTBTS.

I always think of the thief that was next to Jesus who had genuine faith in him. He wasn't part of a religious movement, not baptized and a sinner, yet Jesus told him he would be with him in paradise. That hope alone brings so much joy it makes us want to be a good person to show are appreciation. For some reason when an organization tells us how to be a good person, we fail.

L'Rynda, I'm an ex JW and I noticed that the governing body is trying to take the place of Jesus. You know, they are saying Jesus is not the mediator between God and man, however, the Bible clearly states that Jesus is the mediator between God and man at 1 Timothy 2:5.

It is my humble opinion that we spend more time demanding to get access to the entire writings which describe the Christ's entire life and times and teaching than banter about God's name and if He is Christ or created the Christ as His Son. Who can judge a matter without all the crucial evidence in an unaltered state a conclusion? If we are not given the entire evidences then there is no such thing as true Christianity. Our religion must be our own moral compass and not a corporate entity attached to their legal creation of a CULT/government approved cult. Everyone who has ever been jw or thinking about being a jw ESPECIALLY WOMEN, EVEN CHILDREN, must be explained what the watchtower corporation's charter says. The roots of the cult is from catholic and free mason illuminatti. Find out what these belief systems are and make an informed choice.

If we honor Jehovah we honor his son who he has put in charge, if we honor Jesus and his position we also honor Jehovah. Jesus and his father are one they are in union and we are in union with them as Jesus implies he is salvation from Jehovah and no one comes to the father except through him, He only is the way , the truth ,and the life. I see nothing wrong with using both names they are one. Jesus said he that listens to me is listening to him that sent me.
The Bible in John the third chapter verse 36 does not say the one who exercises faith in the governing body has ever lasting life the one who disobeys the governing body will not see life but the wrath of God remains up on him. What it does say is the one who exercises or believes in the Son has ever lasting life, the one who disobeys the Son Will not see life,But the wrath of God remains upon him.(need I say more!)
its funny you said replace Jehovah's name with the name of Jesus. many times my family keep saying Jehovah will Judge. Hi Eric, Thank you for the work that you put in on the videos. I am an ex elder not dfed or disassociated as yet. Although, I have not been to a meeting or in service for a year now. I resigned over a badly handed abuse case. Walked out and will never set foot in a KH again. I served as an appointed man from the age of 19 to 49. The level of hypocrisy was more than I could bare this time around. Never again. However, this is a side issue to my question. I just watched your recent video on the org not giving due credit to the Christ and I agree with you. You mentioned that the name Jehovah is not even found in any of the known fragments of the New Testament. And I understand your research as I find it comical that the org uses the word restored. However, how does that leave us with Rev 19:1-6 Does this not mean praise Jah or Yah... Jehovah? I would be interested to know what you think. Kind Regards Nick
I was referring to the full tetragrammaton but the abbreviation “Jah” does occur and of course, it occurs in Jesus’ name. Also, Jehovah gave his name to Jesus. (John 17:11, 12) Of course, his name is important, but he now wants us to focus on his Son and to start thinking of him as our personal Father.

He gave the gift of salvation out of nothing but love. We should serve out of nothing but love. He didn't give us salvation to "buy our affection." But, if we are truly his servants, we owe him our lives. Because we're servants and he's our God. Not "to get" anything. That seems to be a tough one for a lot of people somehow...

I was wondering if you had a born-again experience after you left the Jehovah's Witnesses? Wow my early research did come across this article is a 1932 book that you referenced, I had not consciously received the Revelations that Rutherford had denied the Holy Spirit. I know the witnesses talked about the holy spirit, so I was wondering when that Doctrine flip-flopped back to acceptance of the Holy Spirit and how is that accomplished in their teachings now with the article that said that they are uninspired and fallible.?
The hardest thing I am finding leaving the JW’s is allowing myself to give Jesus his rightful glory in my worship, it feels wrong to exalt him over Jehovah after many years of indoctrination. This video has really helped map out what the org has done to diminish his importance. Thank you

This harmonises with paragraph 1, which clearly acknowledges "Jesus is taking the lead in directing the earthly part of Jehovah’s organization to focus on preaching the good news, to care spiritually for those carrying out this work, and to promote the true worship of Jehovah".

That chart does say "earthly part of JW organization" so why include Jehovah and Jesus? They aren't part of the earth. Although I get the point you are trying to make.
In the book of Ezekiel 1 appears God heavenly organization and the Messiah is not there...that means the book of Ezekiel belongs to Satan....if JWs wanted to move the Messiah completely out of the picture..they wouldnt have a bible study of 40 minutes weekly abut Jesus whole live since the begining until the end....Jesus is the head of the Congregation BUT he is not on the EARTH...and they are showing the EARTHLY part of the organization and Jesus is not on earth but in heaven......you manipulated the picture...like Satan did in Genesis with his question to Eve.

It also does not depict Jesus, because the Son was not revealed until he came to be baptized. However, once God put him in place and assigned him as head of the congregation and the Lord of all things (Mt 28:18), then it is wrong for us to overlook him. If, as you say, the illustration only depicts God's earthly organization, why was Jehovah depicted in it?
@@jeffj2730 The book of Ezekiel was written 7 centuries before Jesus birth, Jehovah soveringty is universal, in the case of Jesus his rulership will be ONLY over the Earth (Revel 5:9-10) no over the universe is a subsidiary govement at the end of his 1000 years rulership Jesus will give the Kingdom to his father (1 Corinth 15:24-28) so He is wrong, Ezekiel vision is the universal sovereign, that is why the one in the throne is Jehovah.

This is an amazing study of scripture. While I'm not part of the JW cult, it can be of great value to understand scripture by learning the false teaching of these false organizations and why their teaching can be exposed by scripture. I'm looking forward to watching more from this channel now.

They want to control every aspect of your life. They talk about you having a personal relationship with God then imply without the watchtower you can’t have a relationship with God. Trust me I have the scar’s.
While trying to explain a huge problem to an elder, he asked me three times if I "pray". So, first, they try to establish that you have no relationship with God. Then, that makes it super-easy for them to take control over "every aspect of your life". I answered him all three times that "yes, I pray", but he seemed unconvinced and annoyed. And, he was the branch overseer, btw.
Erik, while I enjoy your videos at times I notice that lots of ex-JW's are quick to find criticism among the publications of JW's just to have something to criticize. While I agree there are Some accurate findings among you guys, other times you miss the target by not reading. The publication says "Earthly Part" not "Heavenly & Earthly" or "Heavenly" it says Earthly Part, so in this case, the publication is correct. While WT included the Heavenly Part in the artwork, Jehovah & the angels, you're right, they did leave out Jesus Christ.
i still have to take my wife to one meeting a week although im just about faded out. during a recent WT study jehovahs name mentiined 65 times satan 5 times jesus nil...i sit through it usualy bible reading to protect my mind from the mind control but i usualy count up how many times jesus is mentioned.often it is none..or just 3 or 4 times..i mentiined it to a sister after a meeting .i said jesus is not mentiined much lately does it bother you..?.she replied oh no we have jehovah dont we ...i have made a pount of reminding different ones that without jesus we have nothing...they just look blank at me ..

You explain a different perspective very well and convincing, JW are in a position to justify their interpretations from their perpective and explain it just as well, same to other religions. Jesus said he and his father are one. So who has authority over us? Jesus did say you can come to the father through me. He also said you must worship the father not me. I am convinced that the bible is as complex as we (humans) are. We must invest more time in establishing Love on earth. We must seek the meaning of 1 Cor 13. All our valid and invalid arguments through our knowledge will be done away with, same to the ability to prophecy, if the ability is done away with so to will the prophecy be done away with. Jesus gave us the 1st and 2nd (Matt 22:36-40) commandments, so we should ask ourself what is this love he is saying we should do to God and to our to neighbour? 1st we must establish what is love? What are the qualities of love? 1st Cor 13. And is it possible for us to have these qualities? If God can personify these qualities so can we, at least we can try. Read 1 John 4:8. If live by the ist commandment we will become like God. The second commandment will fall automatically in place. JW started of in the early days when I was minor, debunking other religions. And now the are facing the same from ex- JW's. It is the only religion I grew up in but never got baptized, I simply couldn't and didn't know why? If you are going to spend most of time debunking JW we are going to miss the point once again same as C Russel did. The 1st and 2nd commandments are not just it simply because its laws like any other laws. It is 1st and 2nd because it connect us with our God. It put us in a position to be like him. Our squabbles, our differences, our different interpretations of the bible. It is all in vain, everything I say from my biblical religious indoctrination, someone can present a counter argument that's just as convincing as mine. But in the sayings or the interpretations of love there are no counter arguments, no wonder in the same paragraph of 1 Cor 13 it is said in verse 8 Love never fails. But if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with. No amount of explanation can explain this away and all my JW friends and family find it hard to accept since we are all to busy seeking justification for all the systemic issues. Like prophecies and knowledge. Love is truly not bound by any system of things and therefore we can accept with confidence that "God is Love" The 1st commandment is an invitation to us to become like God in his space of Love, even though we will never achieve this in the flesh because we die (Gen 3:22) but the invite stands.
What I find most interesting about this illustration is that Jehovah’s witnesses are being encouraged to count to 6 . Could this be one of the sixes in 666?
Brother Eric besides my other comment, I just wanted to mention that perhaps you selected the wrong picture about 10 seconds before the four minute mark on your video and since your argument is based upon the fact that Jesus is left out of their chart, the correct picture needs to be selected, which would demonstrate that point. Otherwise brother everything was spot on!

I have written you in an email a while ago. I have a problem with understanding Gods name. I am seeing proof that Jehovah is not the name of the true God. See El in the research provided by JWs. Many indications El is Jehovah, (the most high over all the earth) but not the universe. References of JW say El was very wicked and that he is Jehovah, the God of the Jews. Besides being confused by being awake,I have so many questions. I don’t even know who I am suppose to pray too, besides Jesus. I also have an 80 year old sister that feels the same way. Thankfully she understood the hippocracy as I do, I really appreciate your work, it has helped immensely, thank you.
I was raised a Witness & I left as an adult during my mid 20s . I couldnt find the words but I KNEW something was wrong , I could never find the words to communicate it to my HIGHLY indoctrinated mother nor any valid unbiased information to present to her. DFED 2 year's now, and have went through 100s upon 100s of videos been through Ray Franz books and here i am 6.30 am feeling so lost, I've seen your video's over and over again and here i am listening again to you, know why? When i listen to you it makes since and for some reason you calm me down, i feel like i just came out of a concentration camp, My God what has this organization done to us and who really are they? what are they? Mark, just get back to the basics. Read the bible as a child praying to God that he takes away all your preconceived indoctrinations and his spirit guid your thoughts to read his word as HE intended and whatever the actual truth is, so be it.
Call on Jesus. I know that felt so wrong to me at first coming out the org, but its right there in scripture that the apostles and first century Christians were calling on Christ. What better way to show our faith in Christ by speaking to him? Once you do this you will feel like a weight has been lifted and you become free, free in Christ exactly as he said all who believe in him would be.
I remember the fist time I called on Jesus and asked him for help/guidance and acknowledging him as my Lord and King, I cried like a baby but I felt SO much better and at ease.
I also stopped using the name Jehovah in prayer to God but call him my Father exactly like Jesus did and taught us to do.
We all still have time to get out of our indoctrinated thinking but we ALL need Gods help in doing so which he gives by/through his son. Ask him daily for this.
Like my brothers say, Not because they say but the Word says we must be like child’s at mind. The irony is that many of those deceived also walk with a mind of a child, it is at the point of knowing wrong from right that one starts sinning. Another point I’d like to make is the Word of God never contradicts its self. I ask does Jehovah have a Holy day? People will say no, and many will us verses to twist the fact. But I read in Genesis chapter 2 and what does God say? Where in the Bible does he say I have no Holy day anymore? Keep on reading brother and have faith and love. Love God foremost and your brother second. That’s what we have to learn is how to love God... Yeshua said the whole law is based on these two commandments.

Spot on brother that's one reason I removed myself from the organization, there was hardly anything said about Jesus in their Watchtower study article's, all their was at the meetings were all about Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah the faithful slave, the GB. the most upsetting thing that effective me the most that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ didn't even appear on the 2017 memorial invitation. If that wasn't bad enough when I went to the memorial, the opening song went something like this " They Love You Jehovah." it was a song about the anointed, why should I sing a song about them loving Jehovah, how do I know that they love Jehovah so I chose to sing " We Love You Jehovah." and I didn't care who heard me, I wasn't going to sing praises about them, they get enough praises more than Jesus I think. I told myself that I wouldn't be going back to the memorial's anymore, they couldn't even sing a song about Jesus, matter of fact I don't think there is a song about Jesus in their song book.
So sad and very upsetting.

another example. I asked a question to a elder. I pointed out in an article where it said we must keep our eyes focused on Jehovah. I asked why would these anointed men directed by Jehovah and Jesus instruct us contrary to the inspired apostle Paul who was inspired by the Holy Spirit to keep our eyes focused on Jesus Heb 12:2 instead of answering the question. they asked me if I believed in the faithful slave? I said I believe in God's word. the slave is supposed to be in harmony with the word. if not, then it is false. they walked away and by the time I got home a received a phone call from a elder to meet with me.never gave them the chance. they know my stance

that's is correct. once I reached out to a brother who was highly viewed as intelligent. I questioned him on some questions. (many will talk to me cause they assume im still in the org. so the questioning is what gets them. either way everything this brother brought up, I was able to bring sound doctrine and proof. when I one day sent him by fax. he responded no other way but to say cause he could not refute it. he stated to me. "I never saw so much proof against the slave. but I am happy where I am." and then he said "you will stand alone" I responded as a newly appointed elder you should know that I will never stand alone, because Jesus said I will never leave you. and he never spoke to me again.
mbt of nj ‘...happy where I am’. My sister said the exact same thing to me when I tried to make the same point. She doesn’t speak with me either now. I think the term ‘happy where I am’, is simply another way of saying that they are to scared to look under the veil because what they might find . Many have invested a life-time of belief in the watchtower and as such, will inevitably go down with it because they fear truth. Not because truth is fearsome, but because it will require change, humility, and the strength to stand up and say they were wrong.
mark, my problem is that we state all the time that we are LOVERS OF THE TRUTH. I read and learned in the truth book in 1974. it seemed we pride ourselves on truth. as a former catholic before I became a JW. there was no research amongst members. the JW were the first time I ever saw people examine and live by the bible. in time I knew they were not perfect, but it seemed to be the striving for truth. but once I saw JW facts it made it very clear of what was said and what was done and so on. I could not ignore the facts. the problem is that the truth is right in front of us all along. we just didn't see it. but to hate people and deem them mental etc for not believing the same as them is acting the same way people acted toward me when I became a JW. peer pressure never affected me. if family wants to shun me its up to them. but I have so much documents I rather you say your happy where you are then to make excuses. people like the fellowship. the wont know what to do. I was a member of the canarsie cong in bklyn in the 80's this was the cong where the talk all over the world was about. women wore pants, we used the good news bible (bogus) but it was the warmest cong I ever been to. this is where ED Dunlop attented. the JW leadership came in and cleaned house. got rid of all the elders, about 150 people left out of 300. and the people had small groups of study but dispanded, it was a sad time

My parents became Witnesses in 74 or 75. I was baptized in the 80s. My father was a bibliophile and when he became a witness he started collecting old watchtower publications and I loved to read them. I remember this book and message. Even in the 80s and 90s, when I was active, this was still a message I heard because in 1990 people born in 1914 or 1925 were still alive. We came in right during the 1975 debacle and looking back the damage control had already started. The people that left then were blamed because they shouldn't have tried to guess the date and the organization never foretold it" My path away from the organization also led me away from God and religion and even though I am not a believer I have immense respect for you and your message. I have always believed any truth has to stand up to scrutiny and light. Ironically, I learned this as a witness because we were constantly told how false religion hid what they were doing in darkness and that's how we knew we were in "The Truth"
I really enjoy this video! I’m only just now waking up after 64 years! It’s 2024! I can’t believe it took me all this time! I’m trying to not be bitter over that, but look at it as training. There were good things I gained from those years. I’m fading and have been since April. I have children who were born in and hope to help them….if that’s possible . Thank you for all your hard work!

Yet looking at that magazine picture from the WTBTS we can see no Yeshua and only images of their gb as they're making THEIR way to heaven as the gb is JW's mediator and not Yeshua which I'm sure quite a few JW's would be surprised to know that Yeshua is NOT their mediator. Even as they're getting higher up to heaven the chairs they're sitting in has gotten more sumptuously plush. The 'subliminals' in that picture in their magazine speaks volumes about the WTBTS.
They are obviously Anti Christ , they took little by little the position of Christ, so JWs slowly without Jesus and get use to it, they will end up becoming muslim in other form, but they only use Jesus name for fishing Christian people to join them,

I always think of the thief that was next to Jesus who had genuine faith in him. He wasn't part of a religious movement, not baptized and a sinner, yet Jesus told him he would be with him in paradise. It is my humble opinion that we spend more time demanding to get access to the entire writings which describe the Christ's entire life and times and teaching than banter about God's name and if He is Christ or created the Christ as His Son. Who can judge a matter without all the crucial evidence in an unaltered state a conclusion? If we are not given the entire evidences then there is no such thing as true Christianity. Our religion must be our own moral compass and not a corporate entity attached to their legal creation of a CULT/government approved cult. Everyone who has ever been jw or thinking about being a jw ESPECIALLY WOMEN, EVEN CHILDREN, must be explained what the watchtower corporation's charter says. The roots of the cult is from catholic and free mason illuminatti. Find out what these belief systems are and make an informed choice.

If we honor Jehovah we honor his son who he has put in charge, if we honor Jesus and his position we also honor Jehovah. Jesus and his father are one they are in union and we are in union with them as Jesus implies he is salvation from Jehovah and no one comes to the father except through him, He only is the way , the truth ,and the life. I see nothing wrong with using both names they are one. Jesus said he that listens to me is listening to him that sent me.
The Bible in John the third chapter verse 36 does not say the one who exercises faith in the governing body has ever lasting life the one who disobeys the governing body will not see life but the wrath of God remains up on him. What it does say is the one who exercises or believes in the Son has ever lasting life, the one who disobeys the Son Will not see life,But the wrath of God remains upon him.(need I say more!)

Thank you for the work that you put in on the videos. I am an ex elder not dfed or disassociated as yet. Although, I have not been to a meeting or in service for a year now.
I resigned over a badly handed abuse case. Walked out and will never set foot in a KH again. I served as an appointed man from the age of 19 to 49. The level of hypocrisy was more than I could bare this time around. Never again.
However, this is a side issue to my question.
I just watched your recent video on the org not giving due credit to the Christ and I agree with you. You mentioned that the name Jehovah is not even found in any of the known fragments of the New Testament. And I understand your research as I find it comical that the org uses the word restored. However, how does that leave us with Rev 19:1-6 Does this not mean praise Jah or Yah... Jehovah?

I was referring to the full tetragrammaton but the abbreviation “Jah” does occur and of course, it occurs in Jesus’ name. Also, Jehovah gave his name to Jesus. (John 17:11, 12) Of course, his name is important, but he now wants us to focus on his Son and to start thinking of him as our personal Father.

He didn't give us salvation to "buy our affection." But, if we are truly his servants, we owe him our lives. Because we're servants and he's our God. Not "to get" anything.

I was wondering if you had a born-again experience after you left the Jehovah's Witnesses? Wow my early research did come across this article is a 1932 book that you referenced, I had not consciously received the Revelations that Rutherford had denied the Holy Spirit. I know the witnesses talked about the holy spirit, so I was wondering when that Doctrine flip-flopped back to acceptance of the Holy Spirit and how is that accomplished in their teachings now with the article that said that they are uninspired and fallible.?

The hardest thing I am finding leaving the JW’s is allowing myself to give Jesus his rightful glory in my worship, it feels wrong to exalt him over Jehovah after many years of indoctrination. This video has really helped map out what the org has done to diminish his importance. Thank you

This harmonises with paragraph 1, which clearly acknowledges "Jesus is taking the lead in directing the earthly part of Jehovah’s organization to focus on preaching the good news, to care spiritually for those carrying out this work, and to promote the true worship of Jehovah".

@@moisesbeyond First, Ezekiel's vision does not show Jehovah's organization. Nor does it depict a chariot, a word that does not appear anywhere in the account of the vision. It also does not depict Jesus, because the Son was not revealed until he came to be baptized. However, once God put him in place and assigned him as head of the congregation and the Lord of all things (Mt 28:18), then it is wrong for us to overlook him. If, as you say, the illustration only depicts God's earthly organization, why was Jehovah depicted in it?

@@jeffj2730 The book of Ezekiel was written 7 centuries before Jesus birth, Jehovah soveringty is universal, in the case of Jesus his rulership will be ONLY over the Earth (Revel 5:9-10) no over the universe is a subsidiary govement at the end of his 1000 years rulership Jesus will give the Kingdom to his father (1 Corinth 15:24-28) so He is wrong, Ezekiel vision is the universal sovereign, that is why the one in the throne is Jehovah.

This is an amazing study of scripture. While I'm not part of the JW cult, it can be of great value to understand scripture by learning the false teaching of these false organizations and why their teaching can be exposed by scripture. I'm looking forward to watching more from this channel now.

They want to control every aspect of your life. They talk about you having a personal relationship with God then imply without the watchtower you can’t have a relationship with God. Trust me I have the scar’s.
While trying to explain a huge problem to an elder, he asked me three times if I "pray". So, first, they try to establish that you have no relationship with God. Then, that makes it super-easy for them to take control over "every aspect of your life". I answered him all three times that "yes, I pray", but he seemed unconvinced and annoyed. And, he was the branch overseer, btw.
Erik, while I enjoy your videos at times I notice that lots of ex-JW's are quick to find criticism among the publications of JW's just to have something to criticize. While I agree there are Some accurate findings among you guys, other times you miss the target by not reading. The publication says "Earthly Part" not "Heavenly & Earthly" or "Heavenly" it says Earthly Part, so in this case, the publication is correct. While WT included the Heavenly Part in the artwork, Jehovah & the angels, you're right, they did leave out Jesus Christ.

i still have to take my wife to one meeting a week although im just about faded out. during a recent WT study jehovahs name mentiined 65 times satan 5 times jesus nil...i sit through it usualy bible reading to protect my mind from the mind control but i usualy count up how many times jesus is mentioned.often it is none..or just 3 or 4 times..i mentiined it to a sister after a meeting .i said jesus is not mentiined much lately does it bother you..?.she replied oh no we have jehovah dont we ...i have made a pount of reminding different ones that without jesus we have nothing...they just look blank at me ..

You explain a different perspective very well and convincing, JW are in a position to justify their interpretations from their perpective and explain it just as well, same to other religions. Jesus said he and his father are one.
So who has authority over us? Jesus did say you can come to the father through me. He also said you must worship the father not me.
I am convinced that the bible is as complex as we (humans) are.
We must invest more time in establishing Love on earth. We must seek the meaning of 1 Cor 13.
All our valid and invalid arguments through our knowledge will be done away with, same to the ability to prophecy, if the ability is done away with so to will the prophecy be done away with.
Jesus gave us the 1st and 2nd (Matt 22:36-40) commandments, so we should ask ourself what is this love he is saying we should do to God and to our to neighbour? 1st we must establish what is love? What are the qualities of love? 1st Cor 13.
And is it possible for us to have these qualities? If God can personify these qualities so can we, at least we can try. Read 1 John 4:8.
If live by the ist commandment we will become like God. The second commandment will fall automatically in place.
JW started of in the early days when I was minor, debunking other religions. And now the are facing the same from ex- JW's. It is the only religion I grew up in but never got baptized, I simply couldn't and didn't know why?
If you are going to spend most of time debunking JW we are going to miss the point once again same as C Russel did.
The 1st and 2nd commandments are not just it simply because its laws like any other laws. It is 1st and 2nd because it connect us with our God. It put us in a position to be like him.
Our squabbles, our differences, our different interpretations of the bible. It is all in vain, everything
I say from my biblical religious indoctrination, someone can present a counter argument that's just as convincing as mine. But in the sayings or the interpretations of love there are no counter arguments, no wonder in the same paragraph of 1 Cor 13 it is said in verse 8 Love never fails. But if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
No amount of explanation can explain this away and all my JW friends and family find it hard to accept since we are all to busy seeking justification for all the systemic issues. Like prophecies and knowledge. Love is truly not bound by any system of things and therefore we can accept with confidence that "God is Love"
The 1st commandment is an invitation to us to become like God in his space of Love, even though we will never achieve this in the flesh because we die (Gen 3:22) but the invite stands.
What I find most interesting about this illustration is that Jehovah’s witnesses are being encouraged to count to 6 . Could this be one of the sixes in 666?

Brother Eric besides my other comment, I just wanted to mention that perhaps you selected the wrong picture about 10 seconds before the four minute mark on your video and since your argument is based upon the fact that Jesus is left out of their chart, the correct picture needs to be selected, which would demonstrate that point. See El in the research provided by JWs. Many indications El is Jehovah, (the most high over all the earth) but not the universe. References of JW say El was very wicked and that he is Jehovah, the God of the Jews. Besides being confused by being awake,I have so many questions.
