The trick two point conversion at 3:00 is a thing of beauty. Chicago sort of had an ace in the hole on that play with TE Zach Miller. Miller played QB in college and ran an option offense. He was a very good option QB. He ran that option perfectly on that play. He knew if the DE ran out to Trubiski, he could just run it in himself untouched. He held the pitch till the DE committed to hitting him and then just casually flipped it to Trubiski like he has done it a million times...because he has. Its too bad his career ended a week later with the horrible leg injury.
How do you not have the chiefs vs Arizona game where Bono fooled not only the entire cardinals team but the camera man and announcers all. Nobody noticed him running till he was 50 yards downfield.
Nahhh. Y’all stole it, and used it beautifully against... the Bears? Richard Sherman played the Stedman Bailey role, if we’re thinking of the same play.
The Peyton Manning TD reminded me of when Mark Grieb -- who was only slightly slower of foot than Peyton -- bootlegged a game winning 2 point conversion to win a crucial game for the SaberCats. A game I attended live.

The issue is often risk vs reward, the plays working because they're unexpected, and the player with the ball is left out in the open unprotected. If you do it too much your opponent catches on and then instead of a cheeky play where you fake a handoff and score with your QB your QB runs away from all his blockers and gets blasted into next week by an alert defender.
@@firesuperbat.4758 It still doesn't answer my question. Why not score 3 points instead of doin THAT. Whatever that was...I still dont understand why commentators were calling it a good move.

Mobile punters are one of the scariest things in football to me, assuming they get even average blocking theyve got so much space to work with and can just take off if the return team isn't right on top of them immediately
For me, the Peyton Manning rushing TD is the greatest I've personally seen. Manning was quite possibly the most immobile quarterback in modern nfl history. He was a statue in the pocket. So to see him run it into the endzone? c'est magnifique!
How do you not have Steve Bono's 76 yard run against the Cardinals? The entire Cardinal defense was so sold out on a dive up the middle that they sent all 11 men into the line only to have Bono bootleg around the right end. There was no one within 10 miles of him as he ran for the score.
That first play had Bailey running about 140 yards for that TD. Starts the play at the 50 runs back to the 10 to catch the punt then run another 90 yards back the other way for the TD.
I would like to have seen the 2013 fake spike between Dallas and Detroit. That play faked out even his own team. Final moments of the game in hurry up offense the Lions get tackled inside the 1 with seconds to spare. Stafford rushes up to the line motioning the intent to spike the ball and stop the clock. Once everyone is set Matthew notices that everybody (including his own line) is just set for the spike and not really looking to engage. In that moment, instead of spiking the ball and stopping the clock, Stafford hikes the ball and reaches out over the goal line for a TD. It was just great situational awareness by a player who took the initiative to read between the lines and make something of it. I LOVE plays like that.
Two were notably missing. One was an Oiler punter faking a handoff and running in for a TD. Second was Steve Bono, who faked out the entire Cardinal defense to scamper 74 yards for a TD, with a lineman outrunning him!
