- Not the best video... Really had lighting issues especially on the dirty slant fin 44 jug... The big point of the video is how Farmertec quality can vary wildly... The 46 jugs shown were all bought within the same month and really a 3 week period. They are the same casting but the plating and overall tidyness of the jugs are wildly different.....
Manufacturing process improves as things are learned from production batches and issues. If only one could get an ear in on what drove those changes!
Yea, I have to hit my hyway rep again... I want to speak to one of the engineers to see what they are thinking on some port timing things. I have another video to make with a whole new can of worms....
It is probably casting temperatures that make the difference.
Also could be different chemistry of metal.
Chasing variations seems to be a full time job here.. often I think I'm being over critical and not picking.. but looking for patterns and weeding out the quality is a big part of the clone or AM thing...
Manufacturers are usually stamps at the base of the cylinder
Oh yea.. i didnt notice mahle or ks on it.. but i haven't cleaned it up and really inspected it yet.. will comment when i do
