Great video and "Ditto" on approach to video's. Years back would use those 272 pistons as a starting point for popups for AM "Big bores". Works pretty well. Not earth shattering but fun :) Same thing works with a 268 piston for the 50mm OE's. Think primary compression & intake duration

      I'll probably slip a 268 piston into a 50mm 372 sooner then later.

@@cargotoolshop5319 A 2165 has the 48mm original edition cylinder. The 2166 is essentially a choked down 372 x-torque. Simply a "fin" in the removable transfer cap makes the 365/2166 out of a perfectly good 2172/3772Xt. The 2165 has the 48mm OE cylinder. Smaller transfers than the 50mm OE cylinders. @@tinmanssaws grinding those baffles out of the 365 transfer’s and having a 372 is one bonus on the 365 Xtorq… I do Walt’s little intake grinding to let some fuel mixture into those two fresh air dumps into the Xtorq cylinder… making sure that there’s some oil hitting that hot piston makes a ton of sense!!! I’m not very excited to have raw air hitting my piston’s! I’ve got 4 372 Xtorq’s now and if I didn’t really want to be able to use these oem carbs and elbows I’d take them back to oe… talking with a tree removal buddy who had his equipment stolen… he was happy to be getting the Xtorq without any real porting or anything… just a 50mm saw that runs and starts will blow his skirt up! So I’m going to do Walks little intake trick and give him a 372 and on of the little spacer’s that my buddy Chad made me so he can run any Stihl 3/8’s bar on it… his 261cm has been holding the load and if he has a big day then I bring a couple big saw’s to blast it up! I’ve been looking for a little commercial property to put a couple shipping container (kilns) on so I can have firewood ready to market in two weeks not two years… only way I can do it because there’s no way I can afford that much commercial property around here… then hopefully get a little bandmill and take advantage of all this hardwood getting dumped… be really awesome to be unloading my first packed container kiln of 2x10’s of oak and walnut and ash and cherry!!! I’ll find a market for it!!! 😂😂😂. I really want to build the container kiln that runs on scrap wood and a chicken house fan! LMFFAO!!! Stay safe out in the trees! God Bless!!! Super Awesome to see the Guru Walt commenting on the TinBasher’s Channel!!! You two should do some kinda collaboration… even if it’s one of those group video deals! Hoping old spike 60 is still happy and healthy too!!! I’ve learned so much from you guys!!! I’ve been thinking about gutting the whole rubber boot on the Xtorq and just letting the fuel mixture flow wherever it will… I know that that’s probably not the best idea… but I’d really like to get fuel charge through those fresh air ports???

Hey I built a 372xp oe 52 mm highway titanikle big bore and I used a meteor stihl o64 piston flat top with the gasket gave me more distance between the top of the piston and the top ring bc of the grove in the plating rite below the combustion chamber I recommend it, the 064 piston no pop up is about 9 grams lighter than the highway 52 mm pop up for 372. The 064 meteor piston wrist pin to top of piston height is right in between the 372 and 272 plus I gave me room to grow if I pulled it apart and cut a pop up and deleted the base gasket

Wolf Creak definitely has nice stuff. Can you explain why some pistons are close window and some are not and the over all effectiveness of the windows. Also would polishing the windows improve or detract air flow and performance. Balance would be an issue for sure.
Ok, call me cheap but I buy Adefol top ends at half the price and have had no issues with them. Do get me wrong I would rather shop local or North America at least but where are they getting their parts from... just say'en. Wolf creak is definitely reasonable especially for the quality but twice the price. For personal use I tend to look at price for a commercial builds definitely I would spend the money and would definitely support Ryan. Again just my take, for me. Of course they look the same, they come from the same foundry made by the same people and just sold in lots to different retailer clients who then "take it from there". That's just how business works. Many 'name brand' manufacturers if you ask for a factory tour will lead you to the executive offices because all their manufacturing happens in small contracted facilities around mostly China, with or without local assembly due "origin" laws, hence the "assembled in USA" vs the "made in USA". The notable exceptions are companies like Intel, Boeing and Good Year but for everyone else nope it's names, marketing, intellectual property rights etc.
