Would you share where you attached the top to the rest of the structure besides that one piece towards the front of it you have flat across? I would think you have more screw points but I couldnt determine where from the video.
Nope, that's all I had to use. Through the front and back cross members, up and into the countertop. There's relatively small lateral load, and what actually does exist doesn't take much to overcome with a handful of screws.
That bench is totally overbuilt, right up until the moment he's about to put 1800 ft-lbs of force to break a barrel free from a receiver on a gun made for WW2 service!
That’s a beautiful table. Thank you for sharing. I don’t have the skills to build it myself. Any recommendations on a purchase? You earned a subscriber 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks! I don't really have any good or bad experience with purchases like this since I always just build what I need. One thing I was thinking about doing was just using my toolbox (44" Harbor Freight), but there's not an easy/great way to mount the vise if I were to do so. It's also just some heavy gauge sheet metal, so I'd be afraid that any real torque on a vise could potentially damage the box. If I HAD to buy something for a bench, I'd probably look at some heavy duty workbenches from a box store to get me by. If you have the space and extra cash to throw at it, there are some really nice options in the woodworking bench genre. If you want an exact replica of this one, @Tier 1 Woodcraft could easily get you squared away, but shipping/delivery may be a pain.
Nice design. Have a small home w/no basement, and a non climate controlled garage. I'd like to build a small L shaped work bench 30" H x 24" deep, x 48" with L side x 14" deep to fit in an existing room. Mostly for handgun work. Never plan on changing a bbl on an AR, but would do that in garage in warmer weather. Have a nice small clamp on vice and a mag. ring light. Would give me a L shelf under bench and a L wall to hang tools, parts, and other gun related items segregated and organized for Wife and I to enjoy our Hobby. Have a Home Depot and Menards less than 2 miles away.........................
Roller blade wheels added to the drafting chair was a stroke of genius! Love it!
Thanks! I add them to all my desk chairs. They work wonders, especially on carpet
Nice Job! Thanks for going through the dimensions and ergonomic considerations! Big help.
No problem! I'm glad it helped!
Just what I needed to watch, thank you sir.
I'm glad it helped!
Tru-Oil would make a good finish for your bench, and it is repairable too.
Thanks!
Very nice workbench build with great ideas! Love the butcher top! Thank you!
Thanks!
Good work! Your bench looks stable. Thanks for showing off your vise. I have to get one of those!
For sure! I highly recommend it
Nice job!
Thanks!
Nice brother🇺🇸
Thanks! 🤜🤛
Were did you get the magnifying glass?
Harbor Freight
Late to the party here. Are you going to do anything to protect the window - other than the dogs in the yard?
Nope

Jesus, are you building a tank on that bench?
Hopefully

Sounds like a great little weekend project!
What stool is that?
Just one I found on Amazon I think. I honestly can't remember.
Take a shot everytime he says “again “
What are we drinking?
@@PrecisionTKS how do you like that vice??
Absolutely love it. I have no doubt that it will never need to be replaced and will serve every need I have unless I were to ever get into artillery.
+100 or +40 please...
Sure, I guess?
