as a habitual second hand car buyer, I hate how 90 percent of cars seem to be sea of black inside and i love a beige or even white interior. I would buy this in a few years as brown is so 70s and the manual gear box takes the retro up a notch. great video Nick, I havent watched your videos in a while and you look great.
My Mercedes has a two tone brown interior - coffee and chocolate - and at first I wasn’t crazy about it, but I’ve grown to really love it. It’s warm and still interesting beyond the standard types of interior colors. And frankly, anything but god-awful black and I’m a fan.
Truffle Brown is BEAUTIFUL! I’d take it over a black interior in almost any (almost) body color. Looks classy here with the silver exterior. And the S is a fantastic trim. It’s a car you can truly enjoy to drive. Love the manual but unfortunately this gentleman forgot to check the box for the rear wiper during his build. Not only a great and functional feature but one of the most “throw back” accessories you can order. Cheers!!
Nick, Being a 20 something kid in the late 70’s and lusting after a Pea Green 911 with brown leather interior that was on the showroom floor at Pioneer Porsche in SE Denver, your tester today really looks great to me! When I finally saved up enough to get my first 911SC(1978), it was Guards Red with the interior being black with black/white pin stripe seats! So I’m still searching for the perfect green/brown 911 like Albert wants….ha!
Very nice leather color and combo. I own a 992.1 S with that famous 7 speed gear box. Also had both pdk and MT. Such a connection with the drivetrain and you master the logic of changing the gears. Mine is full black inside and outside.
Had a 997 cab, gt silver with brown roof and brown interior, loved that combo. Sooo much nicer than generic black IMO. I do like the dual black dashboard top option however.
Agree on the 911 Carrera models being the sweet spot in the range. I couldn't imagine living with the GT3's suspension on normal roads on a daily basis. A Turbo S would have you breaking the law anytime you pressed the accelerator more than a bit. Even something like a 718 is enough power and engagement for normal roads. But sadly it feels like at times Porsche is building cars for RUclips videos or Nurburgring times.
I picked up my new 992.1 Carrera S from the dealer about a month ago now. My sales guy called it my Unicorn as I ordered it with a manual transmission. I agree with you Nick. Driving a sports car with an automatic transmission is like dating your cousin. Totally wrong. I ordered the Carmine red exterior with full black leather interior. I debated a long time regarding the truffle brown leather as I wanted something different. But after seeing the full brown interior in a Macan I decided against it as it was too much brown and I thought it would get old fast. Call me boring. I was only able to put 400 miles on mine before it went into storage for the bad weather months. But the short time I drove it was pure heaven. Much better than any other 911 I have ever owned. Thanks for starting back up on your videos. I love them.
@@jonh.1585I do have the Chalk stitching which adds a hint of color. So I am not totally boring 😅. My MB GLE 450 has the Espresso brown/black interior which works well in a big open space. And looks great with the Selenite exterior. Porsche needs to step up its game with standard colors. Way too much gray, black, silver.
He’s Alive!!!!!! Welcome back bud, we missed you!! Honestly I love that interior color and I’ve been thinking about getting it for a base Carrera in the future. Add in the chalk seatbelts and the brushed aluminum interior package with a green exterior and silver trim on the exterior windows and you got yourself a classic looking beauty.

Good to see a new porsche video from you Nick. Can't wait to see you drive the Macan EV and new 992.2 variants (especially the new T!). Would also like to see another long configurator video from you going over all 992.2 options like you've done in years past. Also, rumor is the 992.2 Carrera S will come with a stick, just not for the first production year 25' - it will return for MY26. If you think about it, it makes sense because they wouldn't redevelop that gearbox and make it a six-speed again just to put it in the somewhat niche Carrera T. This is like when the 911R came out with the then new manual gearbox and it made its way into the 991.2 GT3 a year or two later.
Heroic video! Only Nick would present a great film about the joys of this interesting colour choice. Perhaps there was a reason that mucky brown dropped out of fashion in the 70's!
Beige/brown, gray, black, etc. are way too common for my liking. I do “themed renovations” to real estate when I’m not busy flying the 747 and I very seldom use anything neutral. I’ll go buy a couple buckets of light blue paint, go to your house up the road from me, paint your walls, ceilings, cabinetry, and trim blue, replace your carpeting, hard flooring, and countertops with blue carpeting, blue tiling, and blue quartz. My theme in your crib shall be “Blutopia” - everything in blue! Hey Nick, what’s your exact address? Anything I need to know about the security system?
Nick you NEED to see our car - it is even more brown (love brown Porsches). Sadly in Germany, let me know when you're next over. Anthracite brown metallic exterior, brown roof (convertible), brown interior, contrastring brown stitching and more options in brown (the first owner went mental when speccing this).
It’s a brand new Porsche 911.. it can have neon yellow interior and would still look epic 😅 I think a dark forest green exterior would be the perfect combo
Nick needs another 911 to buy and love and make videos of, then start to have reliability issues that eventually climax into another lemon law buy-back ❤
I like the Truffle Brown. I would think of getting it with white deviated stitching so it would look like the inside of a well-crafted men's shoe. In addition, I think the Ceramica interior trim would further the theme of brown and white. The steering wheel could be black... If you optioned race text. I like this owner's solution of using black mats to break up the brown..... I have done a similar thing in previous cars
Another fine review. Always look forward to your content. Can't go wrong with "O Fortuna!" for your soundtrack. I like the green/brown combo as well, although my preferred Nile Green Metallic is only available in PTS. Only 300 miles! Dare I broach the subject engine break-in?
I think I saw a pre 1974 Silver / Blk int 911 Targa today as , by looking at pics , it had no ugly big front bumper . Nice smooth shape , seemed small . It was parked in an old money shoppes area where I had stopped to get lunch . It was in used unrestored shape - needed paint , windows down , dirty worn interior with a 6 - cheapo 1 gallon jugs of water on the passenger floor , probably a pretty cool black sheep type dude from a wealthy family .... with a past history of substance abuse and bad decisions hahaha wait that's not funny I'm that guy minus the wealth .
Love you, Nick. My soul and ears are prepared for Nick Channel 2.0 without *blasting* Carmina Burana and those gross swallow/click sounds edited out when you contemplate what to say. Missed your videos - just not these peeves which may very well be limited to just me. Hope to see you post more often - 992.2 configurator all options video? 🍿 🍿
0:55 Nick is 100% correct here. Yep, after driving many different 992s, my favorite 911 models are the base Carrera and Carrera S. They have a sporty feel to them and can still be used everyday. The Turbo S is nice, but lacks engagement for driving below 7/10ths (it just ends up being kind of boring day to day) and has significant turbo/power lag that I don't care for. The truffle brown interior is very nice and smells wonderful, but it is just too brown and I don't like it. Of the current 992.2 interiors available, the black + classic cognac seems to be the best, but I have not seen in IRL yet, so...
I like the brown leather, but it would be nice if you could spec black leather for the steering wheel, top door caps, lower section of the door and the top of the dash.
Love the brown, it’s not too much for me, actually love the entire spec of this car, even the boring silver. Only things I would change: PPF delete, sunroof delete, model designation delete, add black steering wheel.
I had Truffle in my Aventurine Green '22 C4S cab and did not like the brown dash. Went with E/M Black/Chalk when trading for my Gentian Blue '24 Targa 4S. Both manuals.
Mine is gt silver outside and truffle brown on the inside. Black was so boring and white would wear faster. I love my combo and would order it again. I even paid for truffle brown leather sunvisors! 😂
Brown interior looks great!!! But why can`t they offer it as leather free interior like they do in the Taycan? No you don`t need to kill and abuse animals to get an interior... I seen Ferraris with some gorgeous alcantara brown interiors so i`m sure Porsche could do it to, maybe not as gorgeous as Ferrari but close.
The problem isn't merely brown everywhere. How about black everywhere as in 85% of all porsches? NO! Porsche interiors are historically ugly. My 911 is tan-tan-tan (ugh!) but we just got a 2021 Cayenne S with chalk/blue/gray contrast and its (finally) beautiful.
My ‘24 992.1 GTS Coupe manual, rear steering and 18 way seats is wonderful to drive. How much time have you spent driving one? As for brown interior, no thanks.
Finally Nick back in his 911 vids - truly missed, sir.
A new Nick vid??? CODE BROWN CODE BROWN!!! Welcome back, Digger. You've been missed...
The brown interior looks epic
epic good or epic bad?
Epic good of course
I have the Truffle Brown Club Leather in my 22 Cayenne, love it!
Nick Murray Brown. We still need the long awaited 992.2 configurator video. After the casio videos, it's needed.
I'll never configure and purchase a 992 but for some reason I find Nick's configurator videos really entertaining

The truffle brown with chalk stitching is absolutely magnificent. The espresso and Cognac is my favorite.

Love it. One of the bummers of the current 992 is if you want a manual with the base engine the interior options are so limited.
yeah just a base manual cab

Pay attention, a white middle aged men sometimes appears naked. 😁
Interior is f n fantastic! Unless a 911 is a GT/RS model in a loud bright colour, which I do really like, the interior needs to be tan/brown/natural.
Truffle Brown Leather with a dark green metallic would be my ideal 911

A colour best suited to a 911 cab of any vintage.

While I like the truffle brown, it just does not hit the spot for some reason. Cognac or Cobia Brown are richer leather colors.
